High Court Review on Lakshmi’s NTR

‘NTR Biopic’, directed by Krish Jargarlamudi, has been much disappointment both to fans and audience, while Ram Gopal Varma’s continuation of the NTR life, featuring the events that took place during NTR’s final stages, ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ has opened up to good revenues and became a blockbuster.

Although the film has a worldwide release, it was put on hold in Andhra Pradesh, due to elections. Even Supreme court dismissed the petition filed by the team for the release. Now, that the elections are done, the court has ordered Election Commission to take the call about the release of the film. This has increased the confusion on the release of the film and the team are in discussion with their attorney on how to proceed further on this. Although the film has few cuts here, an uncensored version was released in the overseas and it received a tremendous response.

High Court’s Bouncer to KGF Star Yash

KGF star Yash is the man of the moment now as his movie is breaking all the records in home Kannada film industry and is also achieving a hit status in other film industries. As he is in super form in the professional life, there is something that he has to bother about in personal life as the High Court has dismissed his mother Pushpa’s petition not to consider Rs 12.50 lakh in the rent as they used it for the repairs of the home.

Yash’s family hired home in the sixth block of Banashankari Third Stage. The owners are the couple Muniprasad and Vanaja who are doctors by profession. The controversy regarding the rent has been happening since 2015. The court has issued a mandate to pay 5 per cent rent once every 11 months. The family argues that Rs 12.50 lakh was spent on home remittance and they will deduct the same.

The court recently instructed Yash’s mother to pay all the dues including 12.50 lakhs and also imposed a deadline. With this, Yash mother has no other option and has decided to settle the issue outside the court.

Yash’s mother is even telling that some people from the film industry are trying to make the controversy big and claims that she always maintained healthy relationship with the owners.

Controversy Around Vishal’s Director Mysskin

Mysskin is a star director in Tamil film industry who is known for making some interesting thrillers. He was popular for the movie Detective in Telugu which released as Thupparivalan in Tamil and it has Vishal in the lead role. Now, the director is going to make a movie named Psycho with Udayanidhi Stalin in the lead role. Aditi Rao Hydari and Nithya Menen are the heroines of the project.

Meanwhile, there is a controversy around the project. Actor Maitreya came in front of the media claiming that Mysskin narrated the film’s story to him first and promised to make the movie with him. He also alleged that the director accepted an advance from his father for directing the film.

Maitreya’s father Raghunandhan is also claiming the same and he has approached the High Court. The court has passed a verdict in favour of Maitreya because of which the shoot was halted now and the director is not in a mood to entertain Maitreya and his father. We have to wait and see how the issue is going to turn.

High Court Gives Relief to AR Murugadoss

AR Murugadoss is currently enjoying the success of the movie Sarkar. The film has become a big hit in recent times. Tamil star hero Vijay played the lead role in the movie. The government of Tamilnadu filed cases on him for certain scenes in the movie.

Meanwhile, the Madras high court has passed a verdict to the government and cops that they should not take any action on the director. Murugagadoss was alleged to have criticized the government welfare schemes and the director approached the high court for eliminating the police cases on him.

The court ordered the cops not to take action against the director based on the FIR registered on him. Keerthy Suresh and Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar played the heroines in the movie. Sun Pictures bankrolled the project.

High Court ordered Actor Yash’s mother to move out of the house

Rocking Star Yash is a well-known actor in Sandalwood. Yash with his mother rented the house of Dr M Muniprasad at 5th Cross, 3rd Block, 3rd Phase, Banashankari in 2010. From the past few months, they haven’t been paying the rent.

On this note, the house owner went to ask them but Yash’s mother reportedly failed to pay the rent and threatened him. Muniprasad filed a case on her revealing the same in Giri Nagar Police Station. Pushpa also approached High Court on the same issue. The Karnataka High Court upheld the Civil Court order asking Yash’s mother, Pushpa to pay the unpaid house rent of Rs. 23 lakh (inclusive of interest) by December 31 and move out of the house or she will be allowed to live in the house till March 1, 2019 only if she pays the rent immediately.

Both Yash and his mother have been calm about this entire controversy and they are yet to break the silence on the issue.

High Court Fined Director Shankar

Star director Shankar is currently busy in scouting the locations for the first schedule of his next film Bharateeyudu 2 which is the sequel of Bharateeyudu. Kamal Haasan has given the dates for the shoot and Shankar is making all the arrangements for the shoot.

The latest we have come to know is that the Chennai High Court fined director Shankar in connection with a court case filed by a person claiming that the story of Enthiran was penned by him.

The high court brought the case for discussion multiple times and finally gave the verdict that Shankar has to pay a fine of ten thousand rupees.

The film Enthiran stars Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles; Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam and Karunas play supporting roles. The music was scored by Rahman.

Break To Ramya Nambeesan Movie

Ramya Nambeesan who has previously acted in some Telugu movies like Nuvvila, Telugabbai etc is popular in Tamil and Malayalam languages. She is all set for her next outing, Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma starring Kavin. Shivakumar Aravind helmed this project whereas Ravindran bankrolled this film under Libra Productions. The movie was supposed to get released on July 27th. But the High Court issued a stay order on the release of the film.

Digging deep into the story, a distributor Malaysia Pandiyan submitted his petition in High Court. He claimed that he bought the International rights of the film and gave 8 lakhs as the advance. After that, he paid the total of Rs. 25 lakhs in installments. But because of the delay in the release of the film, he faced so many losses and approached the makers to return his money back which they refused to do. So, the distributor pleaded to the High Court to ban the release till the makers return his money. The High Court issued the stay order and the makers can’t release the film till 30th of this month.

Mahesh Kathi Goes to High Court

Cine critic Kathi Mahesh was expelled from entering the Hyderabad city after he made controversial comments on Hindu God Rama. Kathi Mahesh was expelled from the city of Hyderabad without being given a prior warning.

The critic approached the High Court, as he feels that his Fundamental Rights are being snatched away from him. “They,(Telangana police) robbed me of my livelihood. I was expelled without a prior warning. This is unacceptable”, told Kathi Mahesh to a spokesperson. He has appointed an advocate and is ready to fight against the happenings. Kathi Mahesh is currently staying in Bengaluru at his friend’s residence. Mahesh Kathi adds that he has been targeted because he is a Dalit.

Kathi Mahesh’s legal advisor told a media person that Kathi Mahesh’s Fundamental Rights were hurt. “They have no rights to expel him all of a sudden. A 24-hour window was to be given. It is clear that they tried to snatch his rights”, Ravi Bhalla told. After studying the case, the court has ordered Telangana government to give an explanation on this issue within three days.

Nithiin Gets Relief From High Court

The High Court has canceled the criminal case that was charged against the hero Nithiin and his sister Nikitha Reddy in Malkajgiri court. The high court took this decision in connection with a petition charged by a buyer named Satyanarayana regarding the rights of the film Akhil. The petitioner alleged that Nithiin took Rs 50 lakh rupees advance from him and did not grant him the rights.

The petitioner filed the charges against Nithiin, his sister Nikitha Reddy, father Sudhakar Reddy and Shresth movies banner. Nithiin and his team have separately filed cases in the High court to cancel the case and the judge who enquired it finally cleared off all the criminal charges and called it as a civil case because of the dispute regarding checks.

Finally, the high court gave a sigh of relief for Nithiin.

Charmi approaches High Court over drugs issue

Special Investigation Team (SIT) is on their task of interrogating the 12 Tollywood celebrities for whom notices have been served in connection with drug racket in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Charmi approached High Court today filing a writ petition demanding on only women officials should shoot questions at her at Abkari Bhavan and that too in the presence of her advocate. As per Article 20 (3), Charmi also mentioned that her blood, nail and hair samples cannot be collected forcibly without her consent.

This petition automatically raises a question on how friendly is the whole interrogation process conducted inside, whether is it really friendly or are Police using any forcible measures to bring the truth out? Charmi happens to be the first among 12 celebs to file the petition against SIT. Let us see, how court reacts.

Mahesh-Koratala gets relief from High Court

Finally the Prince Mahesh Babu and his director Koratala Shiva breathed a sigh of relief with the final verdict from High Court.

Going into the details, the superhit of Srimanthudu movie has brought headaches to the team along with success. An unknown writer named Sharath Chandra alias Wilson has gone to Nampally court alleging that Srimanthudu is his own story. He states that Srimanthudu story was copied from his Chachentha Prema serial written by him in the weekly magazine Swathi. As a result, the court has sent summons to Mahesh and Siva on 24th January of this year. Both Mahesh and Siva challenged Wilson by filing counter case separately. Yesterday, after hearing all the explanations, the summons against Srimanthudu team got canceled.

Prince fans are expressing their happiness with the Court’s verdict. Now Mahesh and Shiva can happily do their future flick.

High Court Notice to Srikanth’s Mental Police

Telangana Police officers Association has recently conducted a press meet to warn Telugu filmmakers to not sue degrading titles and scenes in the films.

The association has even forced successful producer Dil Raju to change the title of dubbed version of Vijay’s recent release ‘Theri’. Just a day prior to the release, ‘Policeodu’ title was changed to ‘Police’.

Now, they have targeted actor Srikanth’s upcoming film titled ‘Mental Police’. Following the complaint of Telangana Police association, the High Court has sent a legal notice to the makers of Mental Police asking them to change the title. Makers are now looking for alternative titles.

Mental Police makers have recently released the trailer and in one scene, the actor was seen sitting on the road with a garland of chappals to his neck.

‘Killing Veerappan’ Release is doubtful

The release of Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Killing Veerappan’ has become suspicious as a fresh petition has been filed in Madras High Court seeking the stay on the film.

The petitioner alleged that the film is made on completely false information. ‘In the movie, it is shown that Karnataka Police has done all wrong. Even Tamil Nadu police and politicians were shown in bad light in the film’, alleged the petitioner.

In fact, ‘Killing Veerapan’ was supposed to release on 4th December. However, court asked to stop the release when a petitioner filed case. Later, Veerappan’s wife Muthu Lakshmi lodged another complaint. After over overpowering them, the film was slated to release on 1st January 2016 but this fresh petition made the film release doubtful.

The Delhi High Court refused to pass an interim order of stay against the Gillette razor advertisement starring actress Deepika Padukone.

On 3rd November, the single judge, responding to the plea filed by Reckitt Benckiser, refused to pass interim order of stay and listed the case for hearing on 19th November.

Challenging this, Reckitt filed another petition. Now, the division bench has issued a notice to ‘Procter and Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd’ and ‘Gillette India Ltd’ and sought their response, while listing the case for hearing on 20th November.

As per the plea of Reckitt, the ad featuring Deepika shows its trademark spatula used with the hair removal cream. They demanded that at least the spatula could be blurred if the ad cannot stay. They added that the ad would harm the business prospects of Reckitt.

Controversial King MR.Ram Gopal Varma is once again in the news for his foolish actions. This time it’s not a new one but an old “Aag”. RGV who made the “Aag” which was a copy of classic film Sholay, was released in 2007. This film has earned good amount of bad reputation for RGV and also was a huge disaster at the Box-Office.

Sholay which was directed by Ramesh Sippy was released in 1975, became a mile stone Indian Film history. This movie was debilitated, copied and pasted in the film “Aag” staring Ajay Devgan, Mohanlal and Amitabh Bachchan himself (hero in Sholay).

The producer of Sholay who felt the discomfort of his film being remade, which resulted in a disaster has filed a complaint against Ram Gopal Varma. The petition was filed by Sascha Sippy, son of GP Sippy, who produced Sholay.

The high court imposed the fine on RGV and his production houses M/S RGV Productions Pvt Ltd, Varma Corporation Ltd and Madhu Varma and restrained them from using Gabbar Singh or Gabbar from Sholay.

The high court also added that that Ram Gopal Varma’s “Aag” has not shown the true facts that Sholay carried and destroyed the original content of film.

High Court Notice for Mallika Sherawat!

The first look of ‘Dirty Politics’ made it to the news for its use of National Flag in a controversial manner. Next thing we know is that Hyderabad High Court issues summon orders to Controversy Queen Mallika Sherawat.

The very queasy looking poster of ‘Dirty Politics’ has got some rave responses and an activist T. Dhangopal Rao, went to court and filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL). Hyderabad High Court issued notice against actor Mallika Sherawat for dishonouring the national flag.

The poster has Mallika sitting atop an ambassador, draped in Tri-color cloth with the Rajasthan Assembly building in the background. The movie is said to be based upon Bhanwari Devi Controversy.

The use of Tri-color in such manner is deemed dishonoring by the court and notices have been issued against Mallika.

This is not the first time Mallika has been caught up in any controversy. Actually for Ms. Sherawat this seems to be a regular affair! Controversy and Mallika go hand in hand.
