After the debacle of Dev, actor Karthi is coming with a unique thriller this time, which is called Khaidi. It is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj who earlier made Sundeep Kishan’s Nagaram. Apparently, Khaidi chronicles the story of a prisoner who plans to escape from jail.

The hero plots a sketch to escape from the jail and will he succeeds in it or not forms the rest of the story. The whole story takes place in a single night. When asked about how he managed to keep it interesting as the entire film is set in one night, Kanagaraj said that screenplay is gripping enough to make the audience keep engaged throughout the movie.

Apparently, the movie was shot in 62 nights and doesn’t have a single day scene. The entire unit used to take rest in the day and shoot at night during the schedules. That is quite a unique thing about this film. The release details of the film are expected to be made soon.

Tollywood beauty Rakul Preet Singh teamed up with the Kollywood hero Karthi and is coming up with the movie ‘Dev’ under the direction of Rajat Ravi Shankar. The shooting of the movie was supposed to take place in Kulu Manali, Himachal Pradesh.

However, the incessant rains have been lashing various districts of Himachal Pradesh and Kulu Manali is one of them. Due to the heavy rainfall, the shooting of the movie got halted and 140 movie team members who went for the shooting were stuck at the top of the mountain with no food and communication. In fact, the movie unit planned to can some scenes in rain with a waterfall in the backdrop. The shooting went well for a few days the rainfall got increased from Sunday and became impossible for the unit members to continue the shoot. On the other hand, Karthi stated that he was stuck in the car for 4 to 5 hours and the movie unit suggested him to stay in the nearby village for safety reasons.

Karthi added that the local people officials claimed that it will take at least 28 hours for the traffic to get cleared and his team members are left there with no communication and food. It seems like the producer of the film got a loss of 1.5 crores with the rains.

The controversial actress Sri Reddy is certainly overreacting to several things. The actress has shifted her base to Chennai and is making some unnecessary and baseless allegations on the film personalities based in Kollywood. She already made some allegations on AR Muragadoss, Srikanth, Raghava Lawrence and Sunder C. The Tamil media is showing a lot of interest in getting more details from Sri Reddy.

In the meantime, some sections of Tamil film industry are expecting an official statement from Nadigar Sangam.
