Chinna Babu is the title of Karthi’s upcoming movie that is gearing up for a grand release in Telugu and Tamil. Pandiraj is the director of the movie. The film’s teaser released recently and impressed one and all. Sayyesha Saigal is the leading lady of the movie. Very soon, the actor will begin his new movie in the direction of Rajath. PS Mithran who made his successful debut with Abhimanyudu is also expected to direct Karthi.

Apparently, it is Vishal who recommended Mithran to Karthi and the Awara actor got impressed with the story narrated by Mithran. Karthi decided to act in Mithran’s movie and Rajath’s movie at a time. The interesting buzz is that Vishal is also expected to play a crucial role in the film made by Mithran. The official announcement on the same will be out soon.

Director Venu Udhugula who made his directional debut with the film Needi Naadi Oke Katha starring Sri Vishnu in the lead role has announced that Karthi is in consideration as a hero for his next film. The director confirmed that his next film is going to be bilingual but did not reveal any other details about the project.

When asked about Karthi’s inclusion in the project, the director said that it is too early to talk about Karthi’s inclusion and added that production house will take a call on the same. The film is said to be made as a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil languages. Two different production houses are going to come forward to produce the movie. As of now, there is no clarity on this project and we are expecting an official announcement of the same soon.

His debut film Needi Naadi Oke Katha has become a big hit in terms of reviews and collections.

PS Mithran is the newcomer in Kollywood who made his debut with the film Irumbu Thirai. The film is going to release in Telugu with the title Abhimanyudu soon. Meanwhile, the interesting buzz is that the director grabbed the second film already. The director is now going to helm a project starring Karthi in the lead role. Prince Pictures production banner that is known for producing films like Singam 2 is going to produce the movie. The banner is currently busy with a film starring Trisha.

Tamil hero Karthi is currently very much busy shooting for his upcoming movies. The actor is now suffering a personal loss as Jeevan Kumar, an ardent fan of his passed away in a major road accident. Jeevan Kumar, who is also the District head of Thiruvannaamalai Karthi Fans Welfare Association has passed away in a tragic car accident while he was on the way from Chennai to Thiruvannaamalai.

Jeevankumar was aged 27 when he breathed his last. Three other people who were also there in the accident was injured heavily. Karthi attends the funeral to honour Jeevankumar, and he gets emotional at Jeevan’s funeral event. We, at Chitramala express our deepest condolences over the same.

Usually, the producer fights against the piracy of any film, and he does not want the people to encourage the piracy. But interestingly, the producer of Karthi’s latest film Khakee replied to a follower on Twitter to watch the pirated version of this movie. The film producer SR Prabhu was asked by the producer to release the film in the area he is living in the USA. The producer revealed that he is working on the same and asked him to wait at least for the Amazon Prime release.

The producer added, “If you can not wait, opt for a quality pirated version of the film on the Internet and donate ten dollars to someone in need which makes me and you happy.” The follower who was shocked to receive the response told the producer that he will wait for the Prime release and added that he would donate the money on the name of the film.

Movies with police as central character are very higb in number of releases. Every director shows them in the way they like and they are shown as a great power who can do anything. There are many iconic movies came in that way and when they are presented in a powerful and entertaining way it clicks at box office instantly. Almost every star hero acted as police even in a single movie in their career. It’s now actor Karthi’s turn to be one and he is coming as a police for second time in his career and the movie is titled “Khakee” which is directed by Vinoth and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. This movie is said to be realistic one focussing on the lives of a police. Let’s see how it works on us as it is releasing today into theatres.

Story:

Dheeraj (Karthee) joins as DSP of Tamil Nadu police department and he is transferred frequently for his sincerity and his approach of solving cases. He is married to Priya (Rakul Preet Singh) whom he loved after his training and they live happily together. After his transfer to some place in Tamil Nadu, he comes across a peculiar case which involves theft and violent killing of people and after reading the case file he becomes restless and starts investigating the case which focuses on dacoits. Their crimes never stops even while he is investigating and they only leave fingerprints as evidence and nothing more to nab them. He starts to roam all-over India with his team to gather clues and nab them. To his bad luck, something bad happens to his family and his colleague’s family due to dacoits. What happened next and how he happened to nab them forms the rest of the story.

Cast and performance

Karthi as Dheeraj is perfect fit for the role and his mannerisms and body language are believable and definitely this role will be one of the memorable roles in his career. Rakul Preet Singh as Priya is nice and she played the role of a hyper and bubbly girl. She complemented Karthi well in romantic sequences. Abhimanyu Singh is terrific as chief of dacoit gang. Sreenivas is good as a policeman in Rajasthan.

Writing Department

Story of this Khakee is superb and screenplay is written with so much research. Dialogues are good.

Technical Departments

Songs composed by Ghibran are nice and there are some catchy tunes in the album. The best thing about his work in this movie is his background score. Cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan is superb. He has shown the locales of Rajasthan in a nice way. Editing is good. Art work is good and production values are apt.

Verdict

Khakee is a film which runs as a battle between Police of Madras and dacoits from Rajasthan. There’s been a lot of research that went into making of this movie. It is clearly seen in the movie. When a ruthless gang from Rajasthan attack houses on highways in south India. They attack the houses so ruthlessly that it makes others fear that even while imagining. This affects a sincere police officer who feels guilty for not nabbing them. He starts investigating the case and he suffers a personal loss and it triggers him even more and he then starts his game to nab them. The main asset of the movie is its screenplay which is written so convincingly without taking any of the deviance to make it more viable commercially. Director and writer H. Vinoth has done a fantabulous job in making this movie. This movie might not entertain those who expect comedy and other commercial elements that we have been seeing regularly in all the movies. To summarize, Khakee is a sensible and honest film which shows the powers, limitations and challenges faced by police.

Kollywood actor Karthi’s Cop-Drama action thriller Khakee has completed its censor formalities and the movie awarded with U/A certificate from the censor board. For Rakul Preet, riding a cycle rickshaw for the first time for her upcoming film Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, was a fun affair. Although she has never attempted to ride a cycle rickshaw in the past, she was not hesitant at all when she was asked to ride one for a song sequence for the film.

A source close to the unit said, “The dance masters assistant could not ride it as the rickshaw was heavy and difficult to paddle. Hence the production team was a little hesitant at first when they asked Rakul to ride a cycle rickshaw. However, Rakul was very confident that she could ride it. She rode it really well”

Speaking about the experience Rakul said, “The rickshaw driver was really nervous about me riding his rickshaw. He came to me at least five times to show me where the break was as it was not a regular one. He just wanted to be sure that I don’t ram into something. It was a fun experience. I really enjoyed peddling the cycle rickshaw around with Karthi and rickshaw driver sitting in the passenger seat.”

Star choreographer turned director Prabhu Deva has taken a gap from a direction with some movies as the lead hero. Finally, he is all set to hold the megaphone for a flick.

Titled as Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja, Prabhu Deva has roped two young guns Vishal and Karthi for the lead roles in this flick. The recent update reveals that the two heroes Karthi and Vishal have quit this project as they fail to adjust the dates for this flick. Prabhu Deva after a lot of trails has decided to act in one of the two lead roles and he will find another young hero to accompany him. He along with his both sons Karthi and Surya were spotted at Prasad Labs theater distributing financial aid for some students. The family is going to help 500 students by paying their education fee.

Surya is doing this charity work through his Agaram foundation, and the foundation has been helping a lot of school going, college going students in paying their fee. Suriya said that they are doing this from a long time for every student who approaches their foundation. Suriya said that his motive is to make sure that all students get a proper education.
