Karthi has been going through a lean phase post the release of Khakhee. His last film Dev was a box office flop and no one knows if it ever existed in the theatres. Soon, he will be seen in Khaithi, which is a thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagarajan. Meanwhile, we hear that he is planning to sign another film as well.
According to the Kollywood sources, Karthi is being considered to play the lead role in the Tamil remake of recent Kannada biggie, I Love You starring Upendra. R. Chundhru, who helmed the original, will also direct the remake. Apparently, he is interested in roping in Karthi for the film.
I Love You was a flop in Kannada and became a disaster in Telugu. We have no clue why the makers are planning to do it again in another language, that too with a hero like Karthi. Anyways, Karthi is yet to make a decision and we have to see what will he decide on it.
