It is a known thing that producer Prasad Potluri who is known as PVP has registered a complaint against the director Vamshi Paidipally alleging that the director has gone overboard by spending maximum money on the project Oopiri which resulted in huge losses for him. The producer also added that Vamshi promised a film in his banner with Mahesh Babu but is now doing a film with other production houses. But Vamshi Paidipally has his version to respond on the issue. Though Vamshi has confirmed that PVP lodged a complaint against him, he says that his allegations are false.

Apparently, few media reports carried news that Vamshi Paidipally is ready to counter react PVP’s allegations in a legal manner. But the director also squashes the allegations and reacted that Oopiri is a big hit and losses for the film is baseless.

Akkineni Nagarjuna and Karthi starrer ‘Oopiri’ was once considered a risky project as Audiences don’t encourage such novel subjects.

As per the sources from the film nagar, the title Oopiri was initially registered by the popular actor Raja Ravindra. The makers of the film after finalizing their title learnt that the title rights were with the actor and approached him. The film unit took the rights of the title and in return offered a role to Raja Ravindra. When the actor expected it to be a decent length role, he was disappointed in the end learning that it did not last even for a reasonable time. He is in a situation where he can not yell out his disappointment and so is expressing the same with his near and dear ones.

Karan Johar, one of the leading Bollywood producers, the man who released Baahubali in Bollywood, has reportedly purchased the remake rights of Oopiri and is gearing up to make the film to cater to The North audiences. It may be noted that ‘Oopiri’ is the remake of French hit film ‘The Intouchables.’

When quizzed Nagarjuna if he would act in the Hindi version as well, Nag quipped that it would be the decision of Karan Johar but not his. He added that he got immense satisfaction after playing the role in Oopiri and is looking forward to more challenging roles like this one.
