Nagarjuna Akkineni and Karthi starrer drama film ‘Oopiri’, which has opened to phenomenal reviews, is set to be remade in Bollywood.
Karan Johar, one of the leading Bollywood producers, the man who released Baahubali in Bollywood, has reportedly purchased the remake rights of Oopiri and is gearing up to make the film to cater to The North audiences. It may be noted that ‘Oopiri’ is the remake of French hit film ‘The Intouchables.’
When quizzed Nagarjuna if he would act in the Hindi version as well, Nag quipped that it would be the decision of Karan Johar but not his. He added that he got immense satisfaction after playing the role in Oopiri and is looking forward to more challenging roles like this one.
Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Oopiri is produced by PVP Cinema and also stars Tamannah Bhatia.
