Radha Ravi is one of the senior actors in Kollywood film industry. He recently made some objectionable comments on Nayanathara for which he was trolled, criticized and received backlash. Nadigar Sangam too sent a letter to him asking to take back his comments and gave a warning to him that they will take serious action if the same repeats again.

Vishal posted a tweet saying that Radha Ravi has to remove Radha from his name. Now, Radha Ravi came up with a strong counter to Vishal.

“This is like RK Nagar. Radha is my father’s name and I added it to my name.” said Radha Ravi as a reply to Vishal.

Soon after the outrage that took place on social media, Radha Ravi was immediately suspended from DMK party.

Veteran Tamil actor Radha Ravi is being slammed by the celebrities across the Tamil film industry for making derogatory comments on heroine Nayanthara. Radha Ravi was at the theatrical trailer launch event of Nayan’s upcoming film, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, the other day.

Speaking at the event, Radha Ravi said that Nayan doesn’t deserve the title, Lady Superstar. He added that titles like Puratchi Thalaivar and NadigarThilagam should be awarded to legends and not for every other actor. He also made serious comments on Nayan’s personal life.

” In my days, only actresses like KR Vijaya used to portray the role of Sita. Today, anybody can play Sita,” he said referring to Nayan’s portrayal of Sita in a Telugu film. Many celebrities like Chinmayee, Vignesh Shivn and TM Krishna have responded strongly on these comments and urged the Tamil film industry bigwigs to take serious action on Radha Ravi.

Lady Superstar Nayantara is super busy with some crazy projects in her hand. Despite her fame, she has been making her career bad with her set of conditions. After the film ‘Irumugam’ with Vikram, she has added some own conditions in her contract for any movie. The conditions state that she will not act in any kind of romantic scenes like liplocks, bedroom scenes and bathroom scenes. In addition to that, she stated that her dialogues should be compulsory in crucial scenes of the film.

We have seen producers implying conditions and directors other than heroes. But now Nayanatara has become a Star heroine to make the conditions of her own to sign any film.

There are so many heroines in the film industry especially in the South where many heroines from Tollywood as well as Kollywood who take maximum remunerations. According to rumours we have come to known that “Idhu Namma Aalu” actor Simbu has recently filed a case against Nayantara. “Idhu Namma Aalu” is Tamil film for which Nayantara was signed as female lead, but later on she refused to be part of this film, which left no other option to Simbu but to file a case against her.

In detail, Simbu who had approached the Tamil Film Producers Council and South Indian Film Artists Association filed a complaint against Nayan claiming that she, who has been part of the film’s shooting, has declined acting in the film and thus becoming a hurdle in the film’s release.

When asked Nayantara about her actions of not cooperating, she replied saying that “I have given good number of dates for the film, they didn’t use those dates. I’m now committed to other projects and cannot allot fresh call sheets for ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’.”

The film is yet to be completed with a song and couple of scenes left over, now Nayantara’s decision has become a trouble for Simbu and the team.

“Idhu Namma Aalu” is directed by Pandiraj, who won National Award for Pasanga, and being produced under Simbu’s home banner Simbu Cine Arts.

Hot heroines Nayantara slapped Kollywood hero Udayanidhi Stalin on the sets of “Nanbenda”. It seems that Stalin fell flat on ground and got hospitalized. There turned out to be a sensational news all over Kollywood. Interestingly a rumor that Stalin proposed Nayantara and she slapped him hard shook Kollywood for a while.

Stalin who got recovered revealed the real reason behind this aspect. He stated that Nayantara slapped him as a part of a scene in the film. It seems that Nayantara needs to slap the villain in this scene but she got confused and gave that slap to the hero. As her hand touched his eyes, nails of Nayantara ruptured the eyelids and the eye ball of Stalin. This made him hospitalized.

Awaiting her next big one, Anamika, actress Nayanthara spoke to PTI with some surprising views with regard to women centric films in Indian Cinema. The actress feels playing women centric films are too much of a burden for an artist.

“I usually don’t like to do women-centric films because it’s too much of a responsibility on your shoulders. Everything has to be correct but when I saw ‘Kahaani’ I thought this is one film, which I would want to do in south,” Nayantara said.

Anamika is a remake of Hindi superhit Kahaani and Vidya Balan played then core protagonist that was well received by the audience. However, Nayan’s character has been moulded according to her individual personality and the actress will not be playing the pregnant woman like Vidya did.

It was completely Sekhar sir’s call. From the very beginning, he didn’t want the pregnancy part in the story and I was very scared about this because that was the main plot about the film. He wanted to make it even more challenging without the pregnancy part,” she added.

Nayan also compared her role of a pregnant Sita in Sri Rama Rajyam to this effect. “In ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’, I played a pregnant character through most of the film. I also have two kids who are about 10 years old. I don’t think all this should stop an actress from doing a role because I believe we should be ready to do anything for a character.”

The film goes around in Hyderabad unlike the original which was completely filmed in Kolkata – “If Kolkata was a character in ‘Kahaani’, old Hyderabad becomes an important character in the remake. A lot of changes have been done in the south adaptation. It will not be like a cut, copy and paste of the original,” Nayan expressed.

Nayan confirmed that Anamika is not a commercial but a realistic film with a typical Sekhar Kammula touch – “He believes in more of reality and doesn’t understand the commercial cinema. Since I’ve been a typical commercial films’ heroine, I had my doubts about working with him, but it all changed after I started working with him.”
