The success of Gautamiputra Satakarni is held back a bit with the recent raids by Income Tax Department of India on its producers and distributors.
As producers are still keeping their mouths shut, the Income Tax officers have a glance at the movie’s performance. It’s been three weeks since its release, and there were no official figures announced by anyone. So the IT has raided the film producer Sai Baba along with Krish’s office and the main Nizam distributor Sudhakar Reddy for unaccounted cash. The movie was made with a budget of Rs 45 crores, and the share is close to 50 crores. Moreover, the film got Tax exemption from both the Telugu states.
Another movie ‘Khaidi No: 150’ has breached 100 crores of share but the makers kept revealing the figures every now and then to avoid raids. However, there is no official information regarding the results of these raids. The film has entered the profit zone in all the areas.
