Super Star Rajinikanth is currently very much busy with the shooting of his next film Robo 2.0. Soon after completion of this movie, the actor will be starting working on his next film in the direction of PA Ranjith.

PA Ranjith is the director who has delivered a big hit in the form of Kabali. Both Rajini and director Ranjith decided to bring on a sequel to the film Kabali and Dhanush came forward to bankroll the project. Dhanush will produce the film on his Wunderbar Films. The regular shoot begins from May first week. The recent buzz reveals that Vidya Balan is in consideration to play the female lead role.

Vidya Balan was considered for Kabali first part, but later Radhika Apte came into the project. Now, the makers are planning to approach Vidya Balan again for the film. More details about this would be out soon.

Kahaani can be easily recalled as one of the best thrillers we ever saw. The unique part of Kahaani was the way the protagonist was designed and everyone goes awestruck in the end. The current Kahaani also has a protagonist’s quest as the main point, a cop and a lady, but dealt it in its own way.

Kahaani 2 begins as a story of a woman Vidya Sinha (Vidya Balan), who finds her paralyzed daughter suddenly missing from home and gets a threatening call from the kidnapper. On the other hand, the cops are looking for a person called Durga Rani Singh (Vidya Balan again) on the charges of kidnap and murder. What’s the ‘Kahaani’ behind Vidya Sinha and Durga Rani Singh. Is it an impersonation? What’s the identity behind these names? Does she find her daughter? Or does she have an ulterior motive? The answers are given but another question is raised after an answer and that’s what keeps the Kahaani 2 moving impeccably in the first half. The second half also starts on a fantastic note and continues for 15 minutes. It’s the last 30 minutes of the film that becomes a bit hasty, when compared to the finesse Sujoy showed till then.

The best part of the movie is it rides high on its predictability. There is a thin line between plot twist and unpredictability and Sujoy seems to know it very well. He makes you feel like he has humbly given you the Sherlock Holmes hat, and when we think that we have solved the puzzle, he winks and says, ‘Dude, Iam playing a different game altogether’. We then remove our hat and just keep ourselves glued to the proceedings.

No one could have pulled it as gracefully as Balan, especially the deglamorized avatar which gave a tremendous believability to the character. The next big role is Arjun Rampal. He was just OK. The movie would have reached a different level if there was an efficient actor for such an important role. The deadpan expressions were a big drawback to the movie. Jugal Hansraj finally lands in a role where he could finally show some talent. He was creep at his best. The old woman who plays Mrs Dewan was more than perfect. All the other supporting actors were phenomenal too. Durga’s love interest, Arjun Rampal’s wife and of course the child actors.

A special mention has to be made for the production design and the locations. They were extremely real and played a humongous role in believing in the story. Also, hatsoff to the Director for explaining the child abuse aspect in the story in way never seen before.

All in all, Sujoy proves once again as a master story-teller. Kahaani 2 has very few flaws but the rest is a nail-biting kickass thriller.

If the reports emerging from Bollywood film circles are anything to go by, buxom beauty Vidya Balan might next join the bandwagon of celebrities to part from their spouses.

It may be noted that Vidya married UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapoor and she continued to act in films even after marriage. Known for being a bold actress, Vidya didn’t hesitate to lock lips with Emraan Hashmi in ‘Ghanchakkar’, a film made after her marriage. In the process of reaching out to her daughter, she unfortunately meets with an accident and lands in a coma state. Rampal is the cop investigating the case and he learns several interesting things which form the film’s story.

The first look of powerhouse performer Vidya Balan’s upcoming film ‘Kahaani 2’ has been unveiled and it is quite captivating.

The first look poster looks like the wanted poster of a criminal named Rani Durga Singh, who is sought by police for Kidnap and Murder. With this interesting, intriguing and mysterious poster, makers have conveyed that just like ‘Kahaani’, its sequel will also be a thorough mystery thriller.

Vidya will be seen as a 36-year-old lady named Rani Durga Singh in the sequel. In the first part, she played a pregnant lady who goes through all the ordeals to search for her missing husband in Kolkata. The sequel is also set in the same city and directed by Sujoy Ghosh only. Makers are confident that the sequel will repeat the magic of its prequel at box office and emerge a blockbuster.

December 2 is the release date of Kahaani 2.

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor was on Friday served notices by the BMC after his neighbor and National award winning actress Vidya Balan was diagnosed with dengue.

BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) served notices to Shahid after he failed to prevent breeding of mosquitoes that cause dengue inside the swimming pool in his apartment on Juhu Tara Road in Mumbai. Notice has been served to him under section 382 of the BMC Act, and he might have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000.

During the surveillance drive, the BMC’s insecticide department found dengue causing mosquitoes breeding in the unused swimming pool in Shahid Kapoor’s apartment, which is on the ground floor of the apartment that Vidya Balan also lives in.

Meanwhile, Vidya Balan has reportedly been put under observation.

Actress Vidya Balan said that in her younger days, she used to wear Jhumkas worth only Rs 5.

Vidya said this while attending a promotional event as the brand ambassador of Signature Senco Gold and Diamonds. When asked about what kind of jewellery she likes, Vidya said, “I am a fan of traditional jewelry more than modern. I wear mostly saris and jhumkas for making appearances. I started with jhumkas worth just Rs 5, and I sometimes wear those even today when I am not in the mood to dress up”.

The makers are in the final stages of pre-production, and the casting hunt is going on! Nag Ashwin, who made his debut with the film Yevade Subrahmanyam, will direct the film. The script work has been completed.

Bollywood actresses Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan and south actress Anushka Shetty, are heard to be in a race for the lead role in a biopic on legendary actress Savitri. Nithya Menen is also in consideration for the film. The film will be simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. The official confirmation about the female lead would be revealed soon. The official theatrical trailer of Amitabh Bachchan, VidyaBalan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer thriller film ‘TE3N’ has been just released.

The story tells about the kidnapping issue. Amitabh plays a man who seeks the vengeance and answers for the kidnapping of his granddaughter. Nawaz plays a church father who somehow is linked to this kidnapping drama. Vidya plays a police officer in the film.

When the similar crime scene is repeated after eight years, the things get interesting as the three powerful actors team up to solve the mystery. Directed by Ribhu Das Gupta, the film is produced by Sujoy Ghosh, the director of ‘Kahaani.’

‘Te3n’ is the remake of Korean classic thriller film ‘Montage.’ We have to see how well the story has been adapted here.

Ribhu Dasgupta has roped these three actors for his suspense thriller. In this flick, Vidya Balan will play a crucial role that will receive applause from everyone, said producer Sujoy Ghosh.

Speaking more about this film, Sujoy revealed that once he along with director Ribhu met Amitabh Bachchan in Kolkata for some event. These three gathered together and discussed films. In between of their conversation Ribhu spoke about a true incident that happened be chilling and many of us were not aware of it. Inspired by what Ribhu said, Big B encouraged him to develop a story around this and assured Ribhu that he will act in the film.

After developing the story, Ribhu immediately narrated the script to Amitabh, who got impressed and signed to do the film. Convinced by the story and screenplay Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan too agreed to do this film.

Titled as “Teen,” this thriller revolves around three main characters.

This film will commence its regular shooting from November and will conclude in January 2016. Though Vidya Balan has a very limited character in the film, it will surely stun the audience, said Ribhu.

Vidya Balan, who was seen the character of Silk Smitha in the biopic of her “The Dirty Picture, ” will once again be seen in another biopic. This time she will be seen as Geeta Bali- once a popular actress in Bollywood.

The biopic is mostly based on the true events faced by Bhagwan Dada while making the film Albela, one of the classics of Indian Cinema. Director Bhagwan Dada had directed Albela in which Geeta Bali was seen in the lead role. Now Vidya Balan will be seen as Geeta Bali in this biopic.

“Though my character is too short, I am honored to be a part of such film. Bhagwan Dada is not only good director, actor but also a great soul. I am also thrilled to step into the shoes of Geeta Bali, who possess eternal beauty.” Said Vidya Balan, who won National Award for The Dirty Picture.

Vidya’s makeup man Vidyadhar Bhatte, who is also a senior make-up artist, has referred her name to the Director Shekhar Sartandel when discussed the script. As the director approached Vidya, she was excited and had agreed to act in it.
