Vidya Balan, who was seen the character of Silk Smitha in the biopic of her “The Dirty Picture, ” will once again be seen in another biopic. This time she will be seen as Geeta Bali- once a popular actress in Bollywood.
The biopic is mostly based on the true events faced by Bhagwan Dada while making the film Albela, one of the classics of Indian Cinema. Director Bhagwan Dada had directed Albela in which Geeta Bali was seen in the lead role. Now Vidya Balan will be seen as Geeta Bali in this biopic.
“Though my character is too short, I am honored to be a part of such film. Bhagwan Dada is not only good director, actor but also a great soul. I am also thrilled to step into the shoes of Geeta Bali, who possess eternal beauty.” Said Vidya Balan, who won National Award for The Dirty Picture.
Vidya’s makeup man Vidyadhar Bhatte, who is also a senior make-up artist, has referred her name to the Director Shekhar Sartandel when discussed the script. As the director approached Vidya, she was excited and had agreed to act in it.
