Mangalyaan’s Budget Was Less Than My Movie’s Expenses: Akshay

Akshay Kumar has become the care-of-address for patriotic films. After a series of patriotic movies like Baby, Airlift, and Rustom, he is now coming up with Mission Mangalyaan. This movie is based on the successful Mars mission ‘Mangalyaan’ conducted by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

The trailer of the film was launched this morning and going by it, looks like Akshay is going to strike gold again at the box office. During the trailer launch, Akshay said that NASA spent 600 million dollars while ISRO has successfully done it with a budget of Rs. 450 crores.

He also added that the expenses of Mangalyaan are less than the budget of his film 2.0, which is of Rs. 500 crores. Mission Mangalayan is directed by Jagan Shakti and it features Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kriti Kulhari and Nitya Menen in the other key roles. It is slated to release on the 15th of August.
