The United Andhra Pradesh governments used to award prestigious Nandi Awards to the big and small screen industries for their phenomenal work annually. They stopped these awards many years back. Post-bifurcation, the awards have split in between the two Telugu States.

As the government in AP has decided to continue the same name, Telangana government has decided to change the name. Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has given crucial information regarding these awards. Srinivas said that they are reviving these awards again with another name. They are looking some names like ‘Simha’, Telangana’s pride ‘Warangal Thoranam’, Telangana State bird ‘Paala Pitta’ or ‘Nemali’. These awards will be organized for the coming Dussehra. The government will finalize one name and shape soon and will be announced.

Meanwhile, the government is keen on hiring some veteran and versatile celebrities from Telugu Film Industry as the Jury. They will form as separate teams for each individual year for all the missed years so far.

Senior actor and Telugu Desam Party MLA from Hindupur in Anantapur district Nandamuri Bala Krishna is always first in making bold statements. He doesn’t mind about others while he is making a speech. He delivers out what he feels too, and he completely says what he likes to. This has kept him in problems several times in the past and now as the latest; he has landed in yet another controversy with his remarks against Telangana in his recent speech in America where he has been promoting his Basavatarakam hospital to collect funds.

Balakrishna said that Telangana were able to eat white rice only because of the Rs 2 per kg rice scheme introduced by his father. He has praised his father and at the same time projected Telangana people in poor light. These comments did not go well with the netizens, and people of Telangana, who have been hurt with those comments are posting hatred on the actor.

Fans are fighting for the movie tickets and Telangana Malala JAC Chairman B.Deepak Kumar demanding to delete the few scenes from the film Baahubali, which are hurting the sentiments of Mala community, one of the scheduled castes. Mala JAC chairman has approached the CCS police alleging that the 13 minute leaked video has a few scenes that hurt the Mala Community people in the film and so demanded for justice.

If the scenes are not deleted, then they are going to stop the release of Baahubali in Telangana. Rajamouli has been caught into a ‘Caste Controversy’ this time, and he does not face this type of problem for his earlier movies.

It seems that he kept all the amount on lands. Real Estate shook a bit in Telangana soon after bifurcation and hence film celebrities are buying lands in Telangana region.

Now, again the land rates in Telangana are in raising state due to the investments from the foreign nations. In this scenario, buying lands at present is a profitable deal for the actors. Interestingly, Ali and few other heroes took real estate quite seriously and are moving ahead with land acquisitions.

Seemandhra and Telangana are now two different places and Hyderabad is the joint capital for both the regions. Similarly, Tollywood is now the common film industry for both the regions. If we clearly analyze the film celebrities in Tollywood, we can say that around 75% of the film crew belongs to Seemandhra region.

Several producers, directors and actors are from Seemandhra region and hence there is high probability for these stars to try shifting the industry to Vizag area. More over, Seemandhra is giving less tax facility. Hence, debate started over the concept, “Which region is a better place for Tollywood?”

Big shots like Suresh Babu says that Vizag region is the best for a new film industry, while Nagarjuna says that Hyderabad is the best for Tollywood. As the ideas are diverse, we may continue with the same debate question for few more months. May be if Chandra Babu gives few more offers for film industry establishment in Vizag, situation may change!
