Super Star Mahesh Babu is currently busy working on an exciting project titled as Maharshi. The film is directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. The regular shoot of the film is happening currently at a specially erected set in Annapurna Studios.

Meanwhile, the latest reports reveal that a tragic incident happened on the sets of Maharshi and it resulted in the makers calling off the film’s shoot. Apparently, a light man who has been working on the sets got electrocuted and lost his life then and there. The incident was unfortunate and the entire film unit is saddened about the same.

As of now, there are no details available on the incident. On the other side, the makers will soon head to Dubai for the shoot of the movie. The film is scheduled for a grand release on 9th May.

There were a lot of rumors that Kannada star hero Upendra was in consideration to play a key role in Mahesh Babu’s next film, to be directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film will start right away, after the completion of Mahesh’s ongoing project Maharshi.

Interestingly, Anil Ravipudi is said to have met Upendra and narrated the film’s story to him. But, Upendra is said to have politely declined the project. During a recent media interaction in Hyderabad, Upendra has given clarity on the same by confirming that he was approached for the film.

Upendra told that he has apologized the makers that he can not do the project as his dates are occupied for the next few months and there is no way that he can adjust the dates for the movie.

After delivering a blockbuster like Rangasthalam, director Sukumar had announced his next project with Superstar Mahesh Babu. But due to some unfortunate incidents, this project was called off recently. Mahesh himself revealed the news on Twitter and stated that creative differences are the reason behind shelving this movie.

Superstar is now planning to sign his new film under the direction of Anil Ravipudi. Meanwhile, Sukumar has also announced his next project with Allu Arjun, which will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. This movie is expected to go on floors as soon as Bunny gets done with his film with Trivikram.

Meanwhile, we hear that Sukumar has recently flown to Chennai to meet Mahesh and discussed why he couldn’t deliver the script as desired by the latter. It seemed that Sukumar has promised that he would come up with a better story next time and work with Mahesh again. Mythri Movie Makers’ head Naveen Yerneni was also present at this meeting.

Currently, the trend of sequels is going on in the industry. Many filmmakers are trying to come up with a sequel for their hit films in the past. It seems that even ace director Rajamouli is planning to make a sequel for his 2006 blockbuster Vikramarkudu, which had Ravi Teja as lead.

Vikramarkudu was a major hit in Telugu and was later remade into other languages like Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Bengali. According to latest reports, Rajamouli is planning to make a sequel for it with Superstar Mahesh Babu as lead but not Ravi Teja. In the film, Mahesh will be seen as a cop.

Both Mahesh and Rajamouli are planning to work together for a long time but unfortunately, things didn’t fall in place yet. But this news is creating some interest among the fans of Mahesh. But this is just a rumor as of now and nothing is confirmed officially yet.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is an avid movie buff. The actor never fails to catch up on a new film, if it gains a good talk among the audience. He even appreciates the film and its crew by tweeting, if he genuinely likes the movie. The latest film which got praised by him is 118.

Starring Kalyan Ram as the lead, 118 was directed by KV Guhan. The film had hit the screens last Friday. Mahesh who caught up on it the other day had liked it immensely. Thus he tweeted, “Interesting story & edgy screenplay… Enjoyed watching 118. Guhan’s technical skills as a cinematographer & director are top notch… Congratulations to the entire team.”

Guhan earlier worked as the cinematographer for Mahesh’s films like Athadu, Dookudu and Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. 118 had Nivetha Thomas and Shalini Pandey as the female leads. The film has become a decent hit and given much-needed success to Kalyan Ram.

Mahesh Babu is going to work with Anil Ravipudi soon after the completion of Maharshi. Since the time F2 was released, there are rumours about this project. With Sukumar walking out of the race, Anil Ravipudi’s project got confirmed and the makers will make the official announcement soon.

Interestingly, we have come to know that Rashmika Mandanna is going to be the heroine in the film. The makers initially wanted Sai Pallavi to be the heroine in the film but she is said to have declined the offer politely saying that she did not like the heroine’s character.

But the makers immediately approached Rashmika Mandanna who jumped on the project. A popular website broke the news on social media and Rashmika liked their tweet which indirectly confirms that she is on board to romance Mahesh.

Dil Raju is producing the film and the regular shoot starts from June. The film will release for Sankranthi 2020.

Prashant Neel is one of the talented directors in South film industry who predominantly works in Kannada film industry. The director was shot to fame with the film Ugramm and later he has directed the prestigious project KGF starring Yash in the lead.

The film is being made in two parts and the first part is already out in the theatres. The makers are pretty much happy with the way the things are progressing around the second part of the film. Even though the makers of Maharshi officially announced the release date of the film, there are still rumors in circulation that the film is going to get postponed to May.

Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations clearly announced the release date as April 25th but the ongoing reports reveal that Mahesh Babu was still reluctant about the film’s release around the same time.

A source close to the film unit reveals that the film might get released on the 9th of May. Mahesh Babu is not making his decision clear but the makers wanted to push the film’s release to May considering the huge release of Avengers in April.

As of now, the May release is still on cards but the makers will take more time to discuss and arrive at a final conclusion.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently busy in wrapping up the shoot of his upcoming film Maharshi. Meanwhile, he called off his film with Sukumar the other day and is prepping up to work with Anil Ravipudi. Mahesh also rolled out his production house GMB Entertainments recently and announced its first project, Major.

Major will be a Hindi-Telugu bilingual which is being directed by Saikiran Thikka and will feature Adivi Sesh as the lead. When asked about this project, Mahesh said, “GMB is run by a pack of highly talented filmmakers and film enthusiasts. I want to produce some quality films with young filmmakers under this banner.”

When asked on why he isn’t playing the lead role in Major, Mahesh said that he can’t play the lead in every film he comes across. Moreover, Sesh has been working on the script for a long time and it would be good if he portrays the role, opined Mahesh. Major is slated to release in 2020.

With Mahesh officially making an announcement that his proposed project with Sukumar is not happening due to the creative differences, the line got cleared for Anil Ravipudi to take over the place.

As per the buzz, Anil Ravipudi already completed the script work for his next film with Mahesh Babu and Dil Raju is making sure that Anil delivers one more hit for him for the coming Sankranthi.

Interestingly, the rumors reveal that Mahesh Babu will be seen romancing two heroines in the film. While Sai Pallavi is already in consideration for the project, the makers are considering Rashmika Mandanna as another heroine in the film.

As of now, there is no clarity on the same and we are awaiting formal confirmation. Anil Sunkara is co-producing the film while Devi Sri Prasad will score the music.

Super Star Mahesh Babu was supposed to participate in an event that is said to be organized by MAA association in the USA. Due to the differences among the members of the association, the event got canceled.

Now, the association is planning to hold the event at any cost this year. The association wanted to get Prabhas in stead of Mahesh Babu on board for the promotions of the event. Already, Mahesh is said to have made it clear that he would be showing no interest again as the association already wasted his time previously.

Hence, the association wanted to get going with Prabhas and the senior heroes Venkatesh, Nagarjuna. After the election of association, the new president is going to take a final call on the event to be held at the USA. The association will raise funds with the event and utilize the same for the construction of a building for MAA office.

Looks like all the star heroes in the industry are now trying to venture into the multiplex business. It was Mahesh who started the trend by starting off his multiplex project AMB Cinemas a couple of months back.He teamed up with Asian Cinemas in building this project.

Another star hero Allu Arjun is also venturing into the same business. He is constructing his own multiplex in Ameerpet where Satyam Cinemas used to be located earlier. Asian Cinemas is acting as a partner for this project as well. According to the latest grapevine, Jr. NTR is also planning to enter into same business.

Till now, NTR didn’t roll any personal business and he is finally planning to roll out one. The actor is making plans to construct a multiplex either in Amaravati or in Vishakhapatnam. His team is working on getting the permissions and suitable land for the project. Once everything gets finalized, an official announcement will be made.

Now, Sandeep is planning to do the same film with Vijay Devarakonda. This film will go on floors once Sandeep gets done with the works of his upcoming film Kabir Singh, which is the Hindi remaking of Arjun Reddy, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.

Apparently, Mahesh was the initial choice for the lead role in Ali’s Yamaleela. Ali himself revealed the news in a recent interview. He said that director SV Krishna Reddy once narrated the Yamaleela script to Krishna during a flight journey and expressed his desire to launch Mahesh as lead actor with it.

But Krishna gently turned down the offer and said that Mahesh will make his debut in the film only after he gets done with his studies. Thus, the film landed in the hands of Ali. Then, the film has become a blockbuster and remained as the biggest hit in the career of him.
