Director Harish Shankar is shooting continuously for his upcoming film Valmiki. As there are just about 45 days left for the release, Harish is setting up continuous schedules and trying to wrap up the shooting part as soon as possible. A new entrant has joined the sets the other day.

She is none other than star heroine Pooja Hegde, who is playing a key role in the film. Pooja joined the shoot yesterday and Harish posted a backside picture on Twitter and tweeted, “Guys See whose on Board ..” Immediately Pooja replied, “I wonderrr….. ”

Pooja Hegde will be seen in a flashback episode as the love interest of hero Varun Tej. This is the second time Pooja is working with Harish Shankar, after DJ. Valmiki also stars Atharva Murali in the other lead role. Produced by 14 Reels Plus LLP, this movie is slated for the release on September 13.

After a long gap of two years, director Harish Shankar is coming up with his new film, Valmiki. This film is an official remake of Tamil gangster comedy, Jigarthanda. Varun Tej plays the lead role in it while Pooja Hegde will be seen in an extended cameo. Tamil actor Atharva Murali is making his Telugu debut with this film.

This morning, it was officially announced that the movie will hit the screens worldwide on September 6. Currently, almost half of the shoot has been wrapped up and by the mid-August, the whole shoot will be finished. The movie is being bankrolled by 14 Reels Plus LLP.

Varun tej will be seen as a dreaded gangster in the film and his role will be contrary to what he has done in his last film, F2. The pre-teaser of the movie will be out soon as well. Mickey J Meyer is composing the music of the film and Ayananka Bose is handling the camera.

Pooja Hegde is the heroine who is currently enjoying the success of the movie Maharshi. The heroine is happy with the appreciations coming her way for her performance in the film. Meanwhile, the shocking news is that Pooja Hegde walked out of the upcoming film Valmiki starring Varun Tej in the lead.

The heroine did not like the remuneration that she was offered but the director intervened to help the heroine and producers with the negotiations. But, in the end, the heroine chose to walk out of the project as the producers are not able to compromise.

With this, the director Harish Shankar is disappointed as he is the one who condemned rumours when media reported that Pooja chose to walk out of the film. Now, the makers of Valmiki are in search for a new heroine.

Speaking about the Shetty’s inclusion in the film, the director said, ” The movie is going to be a sports drama, something on the lines of Salman Khan’s Sultan. Director Harish Shankar announced a few days back that he would be directing his next flick with Varun Tej as the lead. Even he titled the film as Valmiki. It is being produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta. The film is an official remake of 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda.

Apart from Varun Tej, there will also be another lead in the film. In the original version, Siddharth and Bobby Simha played the lead roles. In this remake, Varun will be reprising the role of Bobby and Harish is trying to find the perfect choice for another role since a long time.

Initially, Varun was excited with the proposal and evinced interest to jump on board for the movie but he has now taken a final decision of backing out of the project.

Varun has been advised by his close quarters that it is still not a good time to experiment and play negative roles as he can get stereotyped easily. Even Varun also thought that he cannot match Bobby Simha who gained a National Award for his performance in Jigarthanda.

Now, Harish is having a tough time to convince Varun and get him back on the board. If Varun is firm about his decision, Harish will have to look out for an alternative.
