Our Telugu film industry is ruled and is filled with some families. Those families have huge fan base among audience and those families have actors who can be considered as stars. Nandamuri and Mega are two families for example. Mega family has the highest number of actors now and if planned well, they can release a movie every month and entertain audience. Varun Tej, who is one such actor hailing from Mega family has good looks and good choice of scripts and he has been doing some good work considering the movies he is choosing. Last year, he scored the biggest blockbuster of his career with Sekhar Kammula’s Fidaa and he is now coming with Tholiprema, which is directed by Venky Atluri and is produced by BVSN Prasad under his Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. Story

Aadi (Varun Tej) is an impulsive guy who has some anger issues. He falls for Varsha (Raashi Khanna) at first sight in a train journey and they both happens to meet in an engineering college after that. They both fall for each other after some incidents and then he gets to know Varsha as a very calculative person and she finds problem with Aadi in the name of anger and behaviour. They both part their ways and after some years they both meet in London as they both work for a construction company there. What happens then? How they both meet gain? Does their relationship work out?

Cast and performance

Varun Tej is superb as Adi who has some issues of anger. The character he played has ample scope to show heroism. He is now emerging as one of the best actor from Mega family as he performed well in emotional scenes. Raashi Khanna is fantastic in her role as Varsha and she looks cute and gorgeous at various point of times. This character can be considered as one of the best in her career. Vidyullekha Raman is good in her character as Akka. Priyadarshi is hilarious throughout the movie. Suhashini did a good role as hero’s mother and Naresh is nice in his role. Hyper Aadhi is good and all other actors did fine job in their roles.

Writing Department

Story of Tholiprema is a simple one and screenplay is well written and dialogues are superb.

Technical Departments

Songs composed by SS Thaman are superb and he rendered some fantastic tunes for this album which are equally supported by great lyrics and vocals. This album is one of the best to come from SS Thaman. He did a fantastic work in composing background score and he helped the emotion of the movie in getting elevated. Cinematography by George C Williams is one of the best in the previous years and he shot some eye delight visuals. Editing is good. Art department did a fine job and production values are rich.

Verdict

Tholiprema is a love story that happens between two people who have their own mindsets which is disliked by the other and how their behaviours played a pivotal role in their love life. Director Venky Atluri has done a superb job in handling this movie as a director and he succeeded in writing a good script in first place. He should have not gone in routine way of injecting comedy into sequences even though they don’t require but he did nice work for the rest of the movie. To sum up, Tholiprema is another good love story that connects well with youth to come out of Telugu films.

Mega Prince Varun Tej and Rashi Khanna starring Tholi Prema has completed its censor formalities and the movie received “U/A” certificate from the censor board. The movie theatrical trailer was released today morning and get a positive response from the audience and it has already clocking over 1 million digital views.

While Varun Tej is showing keen interest on this multistarreer, Sai Dharam Tej is yet to give the nod.
