There are some preset qualities to become a lead actor for movies like good looking, good height, good voice, good acting capabilities or most influential background. There are some actors who qualify every aspect of the above and are some who qualify one or two. Varun Tej who is tagged with the title of Mega Prince is an actor who qualifies above all from the latest generation. He is doing some good movies off late like Mukunda, Kanche and tried his luck in masses with Puri Jagannadh’s Loafer. He is now coming with a movie titled “Mister” under the direction of Srinu Vaitla whose last two films are debacles which made him to reinvent himself. Story

Pichayya Naidu alias Chai (Varun Tej) is a happy go lucky guy who lives in Spain with his rich family. He accidentally picks up Meera (Hebah Patel) from airport and falls for her at the very first sight. He spends with her until she leaves Spain and gets to know that she is loving Siddharth (Prince). After few days of going to India, she calls Chai about her love problem with Chai. Chai then flies down to India to help her and he gets to meet Chandramukhi (Lavanya Tripati) and he takes the responsibility of her and also Meera’s marriage with Siddharth. How he solve the problems? Who is Chandramukhi? forms the rest of the story.

Cast and Performance
Varun Tej as Chai is nice and performed well in all sequences and looks equally ferocious in action sequences. Hebah Patel as Meera is good and she has done her bit with the regular expressions she is giving in all her movies. Lavanya Tripati is nice as Chandramukhi and looks okay. Nassar as Picchaya Naidu is good. Thirty years Prudhvi is funny and tried to make audience laugh with the help of Shakalaka Shankar, Abhi and another Jabardasth comedian. Murli Sharma and Nagineedu are good as family of Lavanya Tripati. All other actors are okay for their roles.

Writing Department

Story of Mister is simple and has nothing novel in it. Screenplay is mediocre and dialogues are as usual in Srinu Vaitla’s style which aims for rhyming than content.

Technical Departments

Music composed by Mickey J Meyer is okay and his background is good in parts. Cinematography by K V Guhan is good. Editing by MR Varma could have been a lot better for its length. Action sequences are composed in a routine way and has nothing new. Production values are rich.

Verdict
Mister is the story of Chai who loves Meera and accidentally helps Chandramukhi and his attitude towards the problems they create. Movie begins with an interesting intro and goes into regular Srinu Vaitla trademark sequences with his dialogues like rhymes. Even he don’t have clarity about his hero’s characterisation who beats 100s of goons during interval sequences and becomes helpless before Lavanya Tripati’s family when they try to kill him. If we observe Srinu Vaitla’s movies he is always repeating the same characterisations like director and some other scapegoats just to create comedy. First half is filled with comedy in every scene and which fails to work in many scenes and it’s the second half where the real torture begins. It doesn’t have any fresh comedy scenes or any fresh content to engage audience and moreover they look like spoofs to great hits in the past. There are many threads in the story of Mister which are weaved into a weak screenplay that makes this a boring movie. Srinu Vaitla, whose past two movies are disasters has not learnt anything from them, it seems. He made Mister in the same usual way and it’s another disappointment from him.
