After the blockbuster success of F2, actor Varun Tej is experimenting with the role of negative shades in the movie Valmiki. Directed by Harish Shankar, this film is an official remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda. Varun will be seen as a dreaded gangster in this film. Tamil actor Atharva Murali is playing the other lead role in this movie.
Valmiki was supposed to release on the 6th of September. But as Prabhas’ Saaho has been postponed to August 30th, the makers of Valmiki didn’t want to arrive within a week of Saaho’s release. Thus, they pushed Valmiki’s release to the 13th of September. The new release date has been announced officially yesterday.
Pooja Hegde will be seen in an extended cameo and Mrunlini Ravi is the other heroine of this film. Currently, the filming of Valmiki is in the final stages and it will be wrapped up soon. Mickey J Meyer is composing the music for it.
