After a long gap of two years, director Harish Shankar is coming up with his new film, Valmiki. This film is an official remake of Tamil gangster comedy, Jigarthanda. Varun Tej plays the lead role in it while Pooja Hegde will be seen in an extended cameo. Tamil actor Atharva Murali is making his Telugu debut with this film.
This morning, it was officially announced that the movie will hit the screens worldwide on September 6. Currently, almost half of the shoot has been wrapped up and by the mid-August, the whole shoot will be finished. The movie is being bankrolled by 14 Reels Plus LLP.
Varun tej will be seen as a dreaded gangster in the film and his role will be contrary to what he has done in his last film, F2. The pre-teaser of the movie will be out soon as well. Mickey J Meyer is composing the music of the film and Ayananka Bose is handling the camera.
