Burning Star Sampoornesh Babu created a storm in the industry a few years back with his spoof comedy film Hrudaya Kaleyam. With innovative promotions and spoof comedy, the film became a surprise blockbuster in Tollywood. Now, the same team is coming up with another film called Kobbari Matta.
Mohan Babu Praises Sampoo
Directed by Rupak Ronaldson, this movie is gearing up for the release on August 10. meanwhile, a special video was released yesterday in which Sampoo delivered a 3.27 minutes monologue which was canned in a single shot. Apparently, the actor practiced the dialogues for about 10 days before the shoot day.
The clip is now going viral and Sampoo has been getting wide appreciation from the audience as well as the critics. It seems that star actor and dialogue king Mohan Babu was flattered with Sampoo’s act and called him personally to convey his appreciation.
Sampoo was on cloud nine after getting a call from Mohan Babu and said that he used to imitate the legendary actor during his childhood and getting blessings from such a big hero has made his day.

Manchu Vishnu has been staying off the camera for a while now. He has been focusing on the schooling business and also the project with Hollywood technicians. But a few days back, he has announced that he will be making a web series soon. That web series has been launched the other day.
Chadarangam Opening
Titled as Chadarangam, this show will feature Srikanth as the lead. Mohan Babu gave the clap for the show and we hear that the regular shoot will commence soon. The rest of the details about the remaining cast and crew is yet to be revealed. Chadarangam will be aired on Zee5.

Star hero Suriya has recently arrived with the film NGK which was a disastrous failure in Telugu. The actor hasn’t been scoring a big hit from a long time in Tollywood. Thus, he is pinning all the hopes on his upcoming films Kaappaan and of Soorarai Pottru. Both of them will release in this year itself.

The film Soorarai Pottru is the biopic of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. It is being directed by Sudha Kongara of Guru fame. Senior actor Mohan Babu signed the film recently to play an important role. He joined the shoot a couple of days. Suriya was ecstatic to share the screen with Mohan Babu and he shared his experience on Twitter.
The Singham actor tweeted, “Such a pleasure to be on sets with @themohanbabu Sir, A Legend full of life and great discipline. From his first stint in a garage to his inspiring journey of more than 500 films. It’s a wonderful learning experience. Thank you, sir, for being part of #SooraraiPottru.” The film will release by the end of this year.
A few days back, Erramanzil court has ordered actor to pay the due remuneration of director YVS Chowdary within a span of 30 days. Now, the director has lodged another complaint on Mohan Babu saying that the renowned actor has criminally trespassed his property.

In his official legal statement, YVS Chowdary stated that he purchased a land Jalapally village, along with Mohan Babu in 2009. While YVS opted to leave the land vacant, Mohan Babu built property in his owned land. But apparently, the actor developed an idea of acquiring Chowdary’s land, which is adjoining the site.
The statement further stated that after the decision made by Erramnazil court on cheque bounce case, Mohan Babu has erected a wall and closed the entry to Chowdray’s site, without taking any permissions from the local authorities. If he fails to remove the board in seven days, Chowdary would lodge criminal charges on him, stated the legal notice.

Dasari Sivaji (Manchu Mohan Babu) is a stage artist who has a great reputation as an artist. He is widowed by his loving wife Saradha (Shriya Saran) and his daughter (Nikhil Vimal) goes missing in the childhood. He goes to jail in place of culprits by which he earns money and run Saradha Sadan, which is an orphanage he is running in the memory of his wife and daughter. One day, he comes across his daughter and he finally thinks of settling down happily with his daughter and he gets a biggest problem of his life in the form of Gayatri Patel (Mohan Babu). Who is Gayatri Patel? How Sivaji solve the problem that he is facing to live happily with his daughter?
Cast and Performance
Dialogue King Mohan Babu Manchu is terrific in the role of Gayatri Patel and nice in the role of Sivaji. He is too good in his two variant roles and he has given his best whether in dialogues or in body language. Manchu Vishnu as younger Sivaji and he is good in the role. Shriya Saran is fine and her looks are good. Anasuya Bharadwaj is okay in her journalist role. Nikhil Vimal is good. Ali, Brahmanandam, Satyam Rajesh, Posani Krishna Murali and Prudhvi tried to generate few laughs.
Tanikella Bharani and Kota Srinivasara Rao are nice. Raja Raveendra and all other actors are good in their characters.
Writing Department

Story of this Gayatri is quite routine and screenply is too bad to entertain and engage audience. Some political dialogues connecting today’s politics are good.
Technical Departments
Songs composed by SS Thaman are good, especially the song which comes between Vishnu Manchu and Shriya Saran in the second half. He did a fine job in composing background score. Cinematography by Sarvesh Murari is nice. Visuals in this film are eye appealing. Editing by M R Varma is okay. Action sequences are composed well and production values are apt.

Gayatri is a story of good and evil. When someone who is good by nature involves in bad deed to make some good in the values he believed, his life will be upset with the unpredictable repercussions. Director Madan has done terrible work with this movie and at least he could have got a better screenplay from his writers. May be the screenplay he okayed might work in 1990s but it seems very outdated for these days. Except for some political dialogues on contemporary politics which are uttered by Dialogue king Mohan Babu and his acting, there is nothing in this movie which can be said as a positive. The transformation phase for Telugu cinema had already begun and some directors are not updated with the current trend and the result is movies like Gayatri. To sum up, Gayatri is for Manchu fans.
