Jayam Ravi starrer Comali has fallen into a big controversy now. The film’s theatrical trailer received huge criticism from everyone. Since the trailer carried a scene mocking the political entry of Rajinikanth, the fans found it as a fault and the makers had to an apology.

In a press note that he sent, Jayam Ravi asked for an apology and assured that the scene would not make it to the final cut.

“I would like to make it clear that the element was included in a positive light. Being a hardcore Superstar Rajini sir fan, I have been as eager and anxious as any other follower to see him embark on his political journey. We all grew up watching his movies, his action and style had mandatorily become an inherent part of our nature and there is no way that we would show such disrespect to him in any way or his fans. What has made him more lovable than before is that he saw the trailer of Comali and appreciated our team for the creative appeal and con-gratulated us for coming up with an unique idea. However, to see that such an ideation without any deliberate intent has been receiving resentments and some negative feedbacks from a section of his fans, we have decided to delete the portion in the movie.” posted Jayam Ravi.”

Mohan Raja is the sensational Tamil director who has made multiple hits in the past. His biggest hit in the career is Thani Oruvan that has Jayam Ravi and Nayanathara in the leads. The film has become a big hit and it was remade in Telugu by Ram Charan.

Now, there is a plan to begin the second part of the movie. The project was supposed to begin long back but got postponed due to several reasons. The film’s launch is going to happen soon and the regular shoot of the film will start from January next year.

Jayam Ravi and Nayanathara will come forward for the project. The movie is being planned for a release during Summer. We have to wait and see if Ram Charan also does the remake.

Jayam Ravi is the Tamil hero who made his debut with the remake of Telugu movie Jayam in Tamil. His roots are from Telugu land but his family settled in Chennai. His father Mohan is a popular editor.

The actor recently came up with the release of a movie titled Tik Tik Tik. Sounderrajan is the director of the film. Nivetha Pethuraj is the heroine. The film has become a hit in both Tamil and Telugu. The movie unit is in Hyderabad for the promotions of the film where Jayam Ravi opened up about making a debut in Telugu industry.

“I know about Tollywood very well. Being a son of Editor Mohan, I used to come to Hyderabad regularly and used to spend time here. I have friends in Hyderabad and I always feel at home whenever I come to the city. I am happy now that my latest movie has become a big hit in Telugu. Many at times, people ask me to do a straight Telugu movie but they started scolding me for not doing it. In fact, a lot of offers came my way but I only lost them. I am now regretting but I will surely come up with a straight Telugu film soon.” said Jayam Ravi.

Jayam Ravi’s much-awaited space thriller Tik Tik Tik is going to get released on June 22 and the film has recently completed the censor formalities. Touted as India’s first space thriller, Tik Tik Tik, which is bankrolled by V Hitesh Jhabak, features Nivetha Pethuraj of Oru Naal Koothu fame as the female lead and popular Singaporean actor Aaron Aziz will be playing the villain. It also stars Arjunan Nandakumar, Jayaprakash, Ramesh Thilak. Jayam Ravi’s son Aarav will also be debuting as a child actor through it.

Originally slated for Republic Day release this January, the film was pushed due to financial reasons and was soon caught in the TFPC strike. Now, the film was given with clean U certificate and it is heard that the censor board members are quite impressed with this film.

Director Shakti Soundar Rajan has previously collaborated with Jayam Ravi in Miruthan. In Telugu, the film being produced by Chadulavada BRothers under Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Films banner. Earlier, they produced films like Bichagadu and D16, the recently released trailer also impressed the audience a lot.

Tik Tik Tik is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language science fiction thriller film written and directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan. The film has been promoted as India’s first space film. The film was supposed to be released by now but due to several reasons, there is a postponement. Chadalavada brothers are presenting the film in Telugu and the makers confirmed June 22 as the release date of the film.

Talking about the film’s release, the producers said, “Tik Tik Tik will be a different movie for sure and it is about Space. There are a lot of thrilling elements in the movie. The trailer of the movie has impressed one and all already, and our past film 16 has become a big hit too. We are expecting that Tik Tik Tik will certainly be an impressive project for everyone involved. The release is confirmed on 22nd June.”

The year 2017 has proved to be a rather eventful one for the lovely Rashi Khanna. This September, she starred opposite the dashing Jr NTR in Jai Lava Kusa and added a new dimension to her career.

Thereafter, she made her Mollywood debut with ‘Villain’ and added another feather to her cap. The film was directed by B Unnikrishnan and saw her work alongside Mollywood legend Mohanlal.

Now, there is more good news for her fans. According to reports, she has agreed to star opposite Jayam Ravi in Tamil thriller that is going to be directed by debutant Karthik. A source close to Raashi said she really liked the script and felt that it would be something new for her.

Well, we wish Raashi good luck for the film and hope it does well at the box office. Meanwhile, she has Touch Chesi Chudu in her kitty. The film also features Ravi Teja in the lead and is being directed by Vikram Sirikonda.

‘Jayam’ Ravi is said to have given two full years for director Sundar C , something which not many frontline heroes would do, for the shoot of his upcoming film titled as Sangamithra, a period type venture which also has Arya as the other hero.

To be made in Tamil and to be dubbed later in Telugu and Hindi for simultaneous release, the shoot of Sangamithra hasn’t yet commenced. Shruti Haasan recently opted out of the offer to play the title role in the film accusing the makers of not showing her the script. Names of Nayantara, Anushka, and Hansika, are cited as possible replacements though Sundar C hasn’t yet finalized his crew members.

The period-type venture is to be produced at a whopping cost by Sri Thenandal Films. It turns out that Ravi has given call-sheet to star in the film continuously for the next two years. It is for this particular reason that many frontline heroes didn’t take up the role which Ravi eventually took up.

Shruti Haasan had a gala time at the Cannes Film Festival this year. First, her upcoming big-budget epic extravaganza Sangamithra was launched at Cannes 2017. Directed by Sundar C, Sangamithra will star Shruti Haasan alongside actors Jayam Ravi and Arya.

With a budget of Rs 250 crore and composer AR Rahman and Baahubali 2 production designer Sabu Cyril on board, Sangamithra is expected to repeat the Baahubali 2 success model at the global box office.

With all of this unfolding at Cannes, Shruti Haasan was exploring the festival with beau Michael Corsale. It turns out Shruti and Michael got a chance to meet eminent fantasy author Neil Gaiman, best known for writing the graphic novel series, Sandman, and the novel American Gods, on which the 2017 TV show of the same name is based.

Father Kamal Haasan tweeted a photo featuring daughter Shruti Haasan, Michael Corsale and Neil Gaiman with the caption, “My baby in Cannes with her other hero. Neil Gaiman. Glad to be in August company.”

However, before Sangamithra hits the screens, Shruti Haasan will be seen in the Bollywood romantic comedy Behen Hogi Teri, alongside actor Rajkummar Rao.

It is reported that Kollywood director Gautham Menon has roped in Jayam Ravi as the hero for his next film ‘Dhruva Natchathiram.’ Suriya, who was first approached by Menon for this film, rejected as the content of the film couldn’t please the hero. Now, Jayam Ravi has replaced Suriya for the film.

2015 has been the best year in Jayam Ravi’s career. ‘Thani Oruvan’ has become the first major hit in this heroes career, though there were others films of his which did well as the box-office they all were remakes. ‘Thani Oruvan’ that was directed by Ravi’s brother M. Raja was received well across Tamil Nadu and stood as one of the highest collections this year.

Post ‘Thani Oruvan’ Ravi has been approached by many Kollywood directors to cast him in his film. With offers pounding upon him, Ravi is choosing films carefully. In past rumours spoke that Menon approached Vijay with this film script, but couldn’t convince the star hero. Later on, he approached his best friend, Suriya. Suriya too didn’t show much interest in the script. With these two heroes disagreeing to the film, the director spoke with Jayam Ravi and narrated the whole script. Impressed with the story, Ravi gave bulk dates for this film shooting.

Tamil action-thriller movie Thani Oruvan becomes the biggest hit in actor Jayam Ravi’s career. The movie was released on August 29th, 2015, and has collected more than Rs 50 crores in its first ten days. As per the trade reports, Thani Oruvan has already crossed Rs 50 crore benchmark and became one of the biggest blockbusters in Tamil cinema for the year 2015.

Jayam Ravi is very happy about the movie success, and he did not have the words to express his happiness. The movie was released on more than 350 screens, and it had collected Rs 4.5 crore on its first day. Not only the collections but the film is also getting good appreciation from others stars.

Actress Nayanthara played the female lead role opposite Jayam Ravi in the movie. She was also expecting a hit film for the long time and now is happy with the success of Thani Oruvan. Yesteryear hero Arvind Swamy also played an important role in this movie. Thani Oruvan is directed by Mohan Raja, who is the brother of actor Jayam Ravi.

Tollywood actors Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu are also interested in acting in the Telugu remake of Thani Oruvan!!

The Jayam Ravi – Hansika Motwai starrer Romeo Juliet is being filmed at a brisk pace and the movie is about to start its final schedule of filming. But before that, the crew are finishing up what is rumoured to be a very interesting portion of the flick with Jayam Ravi and the other leading lady in the film – Poonam Bajwa.

This part is currently being shot in Valasaravakkam, Chennai. The final schedule will only commence after this and that will also include Hansika. There is also a song that remains to be shot outside India, though the locations for this have not been revealed to the media yet.

Romeo Juliet is touted as a romantic comedy based on the original Shakespearean classic tale, but set in the modern days. One wonders how the tragic tale of the two star crossed lovers that ends in tears has been spun by the writers in to a comedy though it looks like the talent involved is definitely competent enough to accomplish that.

Directed and written by Lakshman whose maiden directorial venture this is, the film is being produced by S Nandhagopal under the banner of Madras Enterprises.
D Imman will be composing the melodies for this film and Soundarrajan is the man wielding the camera. Editing work will be handled by Anthony.

The movie has, in addition to the star cast, a special appearance by Arya. Madhumita is also part of the supporting cast.

Jayam Ravi apparently plays a fitness trainer to the stars while Hansika’s character has been decribed by the actress herself as “a girl with a futuristic attitude.”
Interestingly, Nayantara was the first actress considered for the lead female part in the flick, but the director later decided against it as she was also pairing with Jayam Ravi in another film – Thani Oruvan.

Let us wait and see how this venture turns out when it hits the screens in 2015.

The controversy surrounding Anjali and the problem with director Mu Kalanjiyam doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon for one simple reason – neither parties are backing down any!

It almost looked last week like Kalanjiyam got his way after all, when the producers association banned Anjali from working in Kollywood until she completed Kalanjiyam’s film Ooru Sutri Poranam, which she disappeared from over a year ago.

The association even wrote letters to the the producer’s organizations in the other industries in the south asking them not to employ Anjali until she fulfilled her commitment to the director who had allegedly suffered serious financial losses because of all this. Kalanjiyam was also producing the film.

The alternative, as far as they were concerned, was that Anjali pay back the director/producer the amount he lost as the result of the incomplete project.

Anjali, meanwhile, has been arguing that it’s not her fault and would not even give the director or the association some face time to discuss some sort of a deal. She has, stubbornly or righteously, maintained that it was not her fault that situation turned out the way it did and Kalanjiyam was to blame for the whole thing.

The standoff between the two has now been interrupted by a metaphoric shot fired – by Anjali!

She has started filming for her next film and that too in Tamil, opposite Jayam Ravi, in a yet untitled project directed by Suraaj. You can imagine the protests being raised by the producers and others in the industry!

The film, by the way is reported to be, quite ironically, a laugh riot of a entertainer.

Suraaj is known for his action masala films like Padikkathavan and Mappilai. The comedy would be a departure from the norm for him too, although it is unclear at this point how concerned he is about the rising voices from within the industry regarding his choice in casting Anjali.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see how things play out now. Although, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be boring.

Sigh.. since when did movie making become as dramatic as the movie itself?
