It is known that Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu’s upcoming movie ‘Maharshi’ is slated to hit the screens on May 9, 2019. Dil Raju in association with PVP and Ashwini Dutt bankrolled this project.

If the buzz is to be believed, the makers have made the movie with a massive budget and also the film has made huge amounts with its pre release business. Dil Raju has took permission for screening extra shows as it is a high budget film. But, Telangana government has rejected to increase the ticket cost. Meanwhile, IT officers have conducted a raid on the producer Dil Raju’s residence and offices. They are integrating about the records of movie budget, pre-release business and the collections.

On the other hand, Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Maharshi’ features Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Touted to be Mahesh Babu’s 25th film, Allari Naresh played a crucial role in this movie directed by Vamsi Paidipally. Jagapathi Babu played the antagonist role in this flick.

The entire Sandalwood got rattled because the IT officials came knocking the doors of star actors in Kannada. The officials have conducted an IT raid on houses of star heroes like Yash, Puneeth Rajkumar, Kiccha Sudeep, Shivaraj Kumar and also producers Rockline Venkatesh, Kiragandur Vijay, MLC CR Manohar etc.

The raid was started on Thursday morning and it became a hot topic. As soon as the heroes got the information they came back to their houses from the shootings. It seems like the IT officials have found so much gold in Yash’s house. They took his wife Radhika Pandit as well as her father and interrogated them separately. The officials came out with 3 big bags from the hotel room which Yash has been renting from the past few weeks. The officials have called Kiccha Sudeep who was shooting in Mysore and interrogated his sister Sujatha. The raids took place in Puneeth Rajkumar house in Sadashivanagar till late at night. The same happened with Rockline Venkatesh, Kiraganduru Vijay, CR Manohar etc.

The raids took place till 9:30 in the night and it seems like the raids in Sudeep and Yash’s house will take place for a few more days. Though the officials are keeping the details under the wraps, the sources claim that the officials have found kilos of gold and property of hundreds of crores.

Priyanka Chopra has been hit by a spate of tax demands over a four-year period, starting with orders to pay up on a luxury watch and a luxury sedan which she claimed were gifted to her. The Income-tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) shot down Chopra’s explanation that a LVMH-TAG watch worth Rs 40 lakh was a gift to her from the company selling it and not part of her professional income. A similar reasoning by her regarding a Toyota Prius car, valued at Rs 27 lakh, has also been refuted by the ITAT.

The value of both items was treated as taxable perquisites in the hands of Chopra, under section 28(iv) of the Income-tax (I-T) Act. These are just two of the issues decided by ITAT in a series of orders, passed on January 16 this year, covering four years from the financial year 2006-07 onwards.

Some issues, such as addition to her taxable income for notional rent from her penthouse or a gift of jewellery worth Rs 17.06 lakh from the production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, have been remitted back to the I-T officials for a fresh relook, as the ITAT agreed that the additions were not based on any incriminating material seized during the search operations.

The latest buzz in the filmnagar reveals that Tamil hero Vishal’s office in Vadapalani, Chennai, was raided by the city’s Income Tax officials. A section of media has published the reports that the office has been raided by the GST Intelligence officials. But the GST wing officials have given a report and a public statement that they have not raided the office of Vishal and the media reports are false. For some time in the media last evening, there is a lot of buzz on the same.

Tamil Nadu BJP leader H Raja, openly stated that he had watched the pirated copy of Mersal. Vishal’s comments on him surrounded a sudden attention, and it also leads to unnecessary controversy. Vishal is currently awaiting the release of his Telugu film Detective.

On Saturday, actor and Hindupur TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna’s family members had to face the heat of IT officials. Reportedly, when Balayya’s wife Vasundhara and some other family members landed at Renigunta airport, they were surrounded by IT sleuths and asked them to cooperate for search as they got information that the family was carrying high amounts of old currency.

IT officials reportedly found Rs 10 lakh worth old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes and when they questioned them why they were carrying such high amount, Vasundhra told them that they were going to drop the cash at Tirupati hundi. As their answers looked convincing, they were left untouched by the IT officials.

But, this act has given a strong indication that no celeb is safe from the IT net.

It was just recent when IT (Income Tax) attacked Kollywood top hero Vijay just a day before “Puli” released. It is now the very same attack, this time the IT department targeted “Bruce Lee.” Director Sreenu Vaitla, Producer D.V.V. Danayya and music director S.S.Thaman residents were attacked by the I.T officials today.

Ram Charan starrer “Bruce Lee” is releasing tomorrow worldwide. This film is made on a huge scale of Rs50 Cr. With such big amount being involved in this film, the producer, director and music director came under scanner. Relatives and close ones of these are also being searched. Though, Ram Charan wasn’t reported of any such attacks.

Few days ago the same scenario occurred in Tamil Nadu just a day before much talked “Puli” release. Hero Vijay, heroine Samantha residences were attacked by the IT officials. The producers of “Puli” were investigated and a huge amount of gold and money got seized.

Income-tax raids are going on popular actors like Vijay, Samantha and Nayanthara houses in Chennai, Kerala and Hyderabad.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay, who is happy with his much-awaited project “Puli” being released tomorrow was hit by IT (Income Tax) raids in Chennai this morning. Much to his surprise, the film “Puli” that is made with a huge amount of 120crores lead to many doubts over the producer and hero Vijay. “Puli” producers Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar house are also being raided by the IT officials.

On the other hand, Samantha’s residence in Tamilnadu was also raided by the IT department. Samantha, who is in Poland shooting for Suriya’s film, was stunned after hearing that her house is being raided.

Nayanthara was also raided this early morning. After back to back hits like Thani Oruvan and Maya, Nayanthara was rumoured of increasing her remuneration. The IT attacks are being conducted in 32 places over popular stars, politicians and bureaucrats across the country.

It is common for IT department to eye on big ventures in film industry. Almost all the big shot films are on the radar of IT department before the film releases. There are instances when IT raids happened on film producers just before the film release.

This one is not regarding IT raids. It seems that the IT department is keen on watching “Aagadu” movie. Looks like, IT officials are big shot fans of Mahesh Babu. As per the buzz, “Aagadu” producers got call from IT department but it is regarding the tickets.

It seems that the tickets of “Aagadu” were sold like hot cakes and IT department officials too failed to grab few for them and their families. They reportedly asked producers to arrange for few tickets and this aspect came out to be the media. Stay tuned to watch the venture.
