Going by the ongoing buzz in film circles, megastar Chiranjeevi might play the role of stylish star Allu Arjun’s father in the Telugu remake of a Kannada film.

Reportedly, Allu Arjun and Chiranjeevi have been approached to reprise the roles of Puneeth Rajkumar and Ambareesh in the remake of yet-to-be-released Kannada movie “Doddmane Hudga”. It is slated for release on 30th September.

Despite the Kannada film is yet to hit theaters, makers of it are keen on remaking it in Telugu with the mega heroes. Makers feel that Allu Arjun and Chiru will perfectly suit for the roles of son and father originally essayed by Puneeth Rajkumar and Ambareesh. Makers generally plan remakes after the film becomes a hit in one language but “Doddmane Hudga” looks to be an exception.

If Chiru and Bunny agree for the remake, all the existing box office records will definitely be put to rest.

Makers of megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film are leaving no stone unturned to make the movie a complete commercial entertainer despite the film’s core story a message oriented one.

After roping in sensuous Kajal Aggarwal to romance Chiru, makers did an extensive research to sign a hottie to lure the mass audiences to theaters with her item song. Names of milky beauty Tamannah, Regina etc were heard but makers finally opted for seductive plump beauty Catherine Tresa, who was last seen playing an exotic MLA in Allu Arjun’s blockbuster film ‘Sarrainodu’.

Dances of Chiru and Catherine for an energetic mass tune composed by Devi Sri Prasad will be foot tapping for sure. Catherine was heard to be on cloud nine when she was offered a chance to work with the legendary megastar. The item song to be picturized on Tresa and Chiru is expected to be a crowd puller.

As per latest reports, there might a title change. The reason for this is severe criticism and disappointment from fans and movie lovers. After the announcement of the title, makers have gathered feedback from both fans and normal movie lovers, and neither of them gave a positive reception.

Fans felt that the title looks just as a copycat of Chiru’s yesteryear film ‘Khaidi No 786.’ They don’t feel it as a powerful one either. With this unexpected setback, Ram Charan has delivered a mandate to the film’s unit and fans to suggest a better title. Earlier, makers wanted to finalize ‘Kathilantodu’ title, but the same negative response then prompted them to change it to ‘Khaidi No 150’.

After much deliberation, sexy siren Kajal Aggarwal was roped in by the makers of ‘Khaidi No 150’ to pair with the megastar. But, there was no official confirmation about this until now.

It seems that after wrapping up the item song shooting of ‘Janatha Garage’, Kajal landed in the sets of megastar’s film. In this pic from the shooting spot, Chiru is seen talking to Kajal whereas the sexy doll was seen only from the back side. Well, this pic has now confirmed Kajal’s inclusion in the film.

Alongside few scenes, a couple of songs will also be shot on Kajal and Chiranjeevi in this schedule. Kajal became one of the very few actresses who romanced both father and son on silver screen. She had already romanced Ram Charan in ‘Magadheera’, ‘Nayak’ and ‘Govindudu Andari Vadele’.

The film stars Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead. The film is directed by V V Vinayak. Ram Charan is producing the film on Konidela Productions Company.

After turning a director, Prabhu Deva has stopped composing dances for others’ films. After recently establishing his new production house, he is quite busy as an actor and producer as well. Amidst such busy commitments, he agreed to lend his hand in ‘Khaidi No 150,’ so he feels the pay is not too much.

Makers are confident that the two stylish songs to be composed by Prabhu Deva will be worth his hefty pay.

On Sunday, Susmita went to Kanipakam to organize special prayers in Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy temple. She sought the blessings of God Vinayaka in making the comeback film of Chiru a historical one. All India Chiru fans association president Swami Naidu and several others participated in the event.

Swamy revealed, ‘we have decided to conduct special prayers for nine days ahead of megastar’s birthday on August 22. We have started from Kanaipakam and will do prayers in the two Telugu states, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. On 22nd, the last day, special prayers will be performed in Film Nagar Temple. Plantation of 1 lakh saplings and blood donation camps will also be held across the states in a grand manner.’

Just like the struggle to choose a story, heroine and villain for this project, makers went through a rigorous hunt to choose the actors to play Chiru’s mother and father in the film. Finally, veteran actress Annapurna, who was the synonym of ‘mother’ characters in the past, has been roped in. Considering Chiru’s age, roping in a top veteran actress to play his mother was a herculean task anyway, so makers have zeroed in Annapurna.

Chalapathi Rao will play Chiru’s father. Scenes involving Annapurna and Chalapathi Rao will be canned in the new schedule. The two will be seen as the parents of a younger character of Chiru.

As per latest reports, director VV Vinayak is making megastar Chiranjeevi resurge his iconic Veena step from ‘Indra’ in his 150th film.

Chiranjeevi is the first actor to use break dance and different kinds of innovative dance movements in Telugu films. Although he has several signature steps to his name, the Veena step composed by Raghava Lawrence for ‘Indra’ movie became a sensation. Several heroines have tried to replicate Veena step in their respective dance performances on stage in the recently held award functions.
