Akkineni Nagarjuna as Villain?

King Nagarjuna will soon be seen in a negatively shaded character? Well, the tinsel town is saying yes. Nagarjuna is interested in a negative role in the Telugu remake of “Thani Oruvan,”

Nagarjuna as Villian
Nagarjuna as Villian

“Thani Oruvan” is Tamil thriller directed by Mohan Raja. This film received many applause for its screenplay and direction. The director earlier has shown this movie to Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan. Since Mahesh committed himself to not doing remakes, Charan was finalized to do the lead role that was done by Ravi in the original film. Kajal Aggarwal was recently roped into this project, and will play the lead heroine opposite Charan.

Now, rumors have that “King” Nagarjuna is keen in playing the negative character in this film. Arvind Swamy played the villain character called “Siddharth” in the original film. His character had many variations throughout the film, and many were impressed the way he played the role of villain.

Nagarjuna experimenting with his character isn’t a new one. Since Annamayya, he was seen in many challenging roles. “Ramadasu” “Shirdi Sai” and his latest “Oopiri” are all mixed characters in his film career. Since Nag didn’t attempt any negative character or was seen in as Villian, this film will be a tailor-made one for him, says Tollywood.

Earlier, Rana was considered in the role of Arvind Swamy, but no updates about him featuring in this remake were said. Surender Reddy is rumoured of directing this remake. Ram Charan and his team also thought of roping Arvind Swamy but dropped their later idea. At one point of time Ram Charan, who fell in love with the villain character thought of himself doing that role.

This much-hyped remake has become more talkative subject than any other film. Let’s wait and see whether Nagarjuna will play as the villain or someone else will play this role.

Balayya transferred his villain to Mega Family!

Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna came up with the film “Legend” in Tollywood. This venture got immense craze in the audience. In fact, Jagapathi Babu played vital role in raising the standard of this flick. He turned into an asset for this venture and the fights between Balayya and Jagapathi Babu turned out to be the main highlights.

NBK-Jagapathi-Babu

Looks like Mega Family too is feeling like having Jagapathi Babu in their ventures. As the top villain in present Tollywood film industry, Jagapathi Babu signed for Allu Arjun’s upcoming venture. Trivikram Srinivas is directing this flick and hence we may expect good sequences between the hero and villain combinations.

In “Julayi”, we can see Trivikram giving good scope to both hero and the villain. We may expect the same for this upcoming venture. After “Legend” and “Linga”, Jagapathi Babu is taking on this project and this means that Allu Arjun’s flick will get good craze due to Jagapathi Babu.

Jayaram playing the baddie in Suriya’s Masss?

It was confirmed a couple of days ago that Malayalam actor Jayaram had joined the upcoming Suriya – Venkat Prabhu venture Masss. But now the rumour mills are turning out a fresh piece of info. It says that Jayaram might be playing the villain in the movie!

Jayaram-in-Suriya-Masss

Now, Jayaram is a very versatile actor and he has donned the role of the antagonist before in movies like Saroja, but most fans know the actor as the amicable and hilarious hero or the supporting character.

Who can forget his performances along with the Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan, in comedy classics like Thenaali and Panchathanthiram? He also played the role of the supporting character with some comedy shops in the Vijay starrer Thuppakki recently.

However, his most recent venture in Kollywood would be his yet unknown but pivotal role in Uttama Villain.

So, the news that he might be playing the baddie to Suriya is an intriguing one to all the fans of the actor. Surely, this would be an opportunity for the Kerala State Award winning actor to show case his sheer range in acting.

Recently, Jayaram was in the news but indirectly – it was his son Kalidasan that grabbed the spotlight at the Vijay Awards, when he expertly and to the delight of the stars in attendance, mimicked superstars like Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay and Suriya.

So it seems talent runs in the family. It is to be noted that Kalidasan is an award winning child actor as well.

All in all, good days for Jayaram and his hardcore fans who are spread across state and language boundaries…

Akshay Kumar wants to play a baddie, badly!

In an era where Villains are hotter and stronger than the heroes, Akki loves to embrace that side and want to play villainous roles more often.

akshay-kumar-badie

Akshay Kumar, was recently spotted saying that he wants to play grey shades character more often. And when asked why, he has a very interesting take on that. He says that the villain actually enjoys throughout the film and it is just in the last five minutes that he gets beaten up. He lives in luxury and vies for the girl, whereas the hero is caught up in protecting all around him.

Nicely put Akki! And if the villains are as hot as you, who wouldn’t want to watch such sexy baddies. The villains have always been an integral part of the story and it can be rightly said that they are the piece that complete the puzzle.

Vijay will not fight the villain!

Yes, it’s true folks! In a daring move that hasn’t happened recently in any big budget, high profile flicks in Kollywood, the AR Murugadoss – Vijay mega movie Kaththi will not showcase a single fight sequence between the hero and the villain!

Vijay will not Fight with Villain

The fact has been confirmed by the baddie of the movie himself, Neil Nithin Mukesh, who by the way is thrilled with the whole experience and has definitely put forward that extra effort in order to make the movie a success.

The dashing Bollywood star has slimmed down quite a bit and lost almost 10 kg for the film. “The idea was to get in to the shape I was in when making Johnny Gaddar.” He says. The young actor, who has been in a few ‘star related’ controversies back in Bollywood also adds that he was pleasantly surprised by Vijay.

“I still can’t believe he is a superstar. He is always so humble and mild mannered with no airs about him at all.”

Neil says that the project has been a blessing and working with Murugadoss and Vijay would be the perfect debut for him in Kollywood.

He confirmed though, amidst showering praises on the cast and the crew, that he would not be trading punches with Vijay’s characters in the film. Instead it would be a battle of the wits and cunning in this story.

It is worth mentioning at this point that Vijay is playing dual roles in the movie and no, as it was rumoured earlier, it is not a father – son duo.

Samantha plays the lead female role and young musical wizard Anirudh Ravichander is the one scoring the tunes in the film. The soundtrack will feature a song, a ‘love kuthu’ song to be exact, sung by Vijay himself.
