It was confirmed a couple of days ago that Malayalam actor Jayaram had joined the upcoming Suriya – Venkat Prabhu venture Masss. But now the rumour mills are turning out a fresh piece of info. It says that Jayaram might be playing the villain in the movie!
Now, Jayaram is a very versatile actor and he has donned the role of the antagonist before in movies like Saroja, but most fans know the actor as the amicable and hilarious hero or the supporting character.
Who can forget his performances along with the Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan, in comedy classics like Thenaali and Panchathanthiram? He also played the role of the supporting character with some comedy shops in the Vijay starrer Thuppakki recently.
However, his most recent venture in Kollywood would be his yet unknown but pivotal role in Uttama Villain.
So, the news that he might be playing the baddie to Suriya is an intriguing one to all the fans of the actor. Surely, this would be an opportunity for the Kerala State Award winning actor to show case his sheer range in acting.
Recently, Jayaram was in the news but indirectly – it was his son Kalidasan that grabbed the spotlight at the Vijay Awards, when he expertly and to the delight of the stars in attendance, mimicked superstars like Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay and Suriya.
So it seems talent runs in the family. It is to be noted that Kalidasan is an award winning child actor as well.
