Actress Bhavana, who made her debut in Malayalam with ‘Nammal’ in 2002 claims that she didn’t get impressive roles from Tamil industry, that’s is the reason for her not doing any Tamil film in the recent times, she says.

Bhavana after beginning her acting career in 2002 in Malayalam was later on seen in few Tamil and Telugu films. She debuted in Tamil with ‘Chithiram Pesuthadi’ in 2006, has expected and hoped that the Tamil Industry has a lot to offer to her. But as the time passed on films dried up. Her biggest hit in Tamil was Ajith’s ‘Asal’ that was released in 2010, this was also her last film in Tamil as she wasn’t seen in any other Tamil film till date.

She gained fail marks in Tamil tried her luck in Telugu too. After giving an entry with Gopichand’s ‘Ontari’ in 2008, Bhavana did ‘Mahatma’ in 2009. These were the only films that she did in Telugu. With both the industries turning out to be a flop show for her, Bhavana has struck to Malayalam films and had a handful of movies every year.

In the recent time, she was offered of a character in Vijay’s ‘Puli.’ Rumours had that Bhavana has rejected this offer as Tamil filmmakers didn’t approach her in the past five years. Reacting upon this, Bhavana said that it wasn’t any revenge or such thing, but the character in the film has no weight that is the reason behind her rejection, said Bhavana.

She further said that if good characters approach her then she’ll justify them.

Veteran actress Sridevi, who played the role of the queen in Vijay’s ‘Puli’, had recently filed a complaint that the producers of “Puli” owe her Rs 50 lakh remuneration. Makers of “Puli” now released a four-page statement and claimed that Sridevi owes them Rs 20 lakh, but they don’t owe her anything.

Producers of ‘Puli’ said that they agreed to pay Rs 2.7 Crore remuneration along with Rs 30 lakh service tax to Sridevi at the time of signing. However, Sridevi’s husband, Boney Kapoor later demanded the makers that she would participate in the shoot only if she was paid extra for releasing the film in other languages.

Then makers decided to pay her 20 percent of the Hindi satellite rights, Rs 55 lakh and Rs 15 lakh for the Telugu version. Later, Boney Kapoor convinced the makers to release the flick in Hindi by promising that Sridevi has a good market in Hindi. Despite the makers spent Crores just for publicity, the actress didn’t even attend the audio launch.
Makers claim that Sridevi owed them Rs 20 lakh.

Tamil star hero Vijay’s recent release ‘Puli’ has become a flop and put full stop to his success streak. Vijay is now making careful steps post this shameful slop.

He is currently busy shooting for a romantic entertainer under the direction of Atlee of ‘Raja Rani’ fame. Reportedly, 70 percent of the shooting of this flick is already done.

As per sources, for Vijay’s next film, his 60th, three directors are in the race. SJ Suriya is ready to make a sequel to ‘Khushi’. Director Mohan Raja, who has recently scored an acclaimed blockbuster ‘Thani Oruvan,’, is also in race. Acclaimed director Sasi Kumar is also in line.

Vijay’s Puli movie gets the negative talk initially and later the movie slowly gets good talk and the producers are also happy with the movie collections.

Before releasing Tamil movie “Puli” earned many expectations. Kollywood superstar Vijay, Sri Devi, Sudeep, Shruthi Hassan and Hansi were the lead characters in this film. This film was expected of breaking all the records especially “Baahubali” post release. Though it didn’t collect a positive response from the audience due to lack of story in the film, it managed to collect some good money near the box-office.

Without caring all the negative talk clouded over “Puli,” producers announced the first week collections of the film. They announced that “Puli” has collected around Rs 71Crores. Many who listened to this doubted that whether these collections are fake or real. Whatever be the collections, but from the producers point of view, they already incurred a huge loss on Rs 30Crores, since the film was made with a budget of Rs 105crores.

The producers claimed that they traded this film for 105Croroes in all dubbed languages. With the collections of 70crores for the first week, they reminded that the share was only 50Crores. If the film does the same and goes into the second week, it collects nothing more than 20crores. With these numbers on the charts, “Puli” will defiantly incur a huge loss of Rs 30Cr.

While speaking of Telugu Version, Puli was sold for Rs7Cr. The cine pundits have already confirmed that this film has already incurred a 2cr loss.

The film that was expected of beating “Baahubali,” at least in South, couldn’t even collect half of what “Baahubali” has collected. Rajamouli directorial “Baahubali” collected Rs 255cr in seven days.

With Rajni’s support to the film, the Puli team is filled with gratitude and happiness. Leaving beside the dislike from the audience, Puli has managed to earn nearly 30 cr in Tamil Nadu from the first weekend.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay says that he did Puli for the sake of his children. When director approached Vijay with Puli, he didn’t agree to do the film. But his children Sanjay and Divya pleaded him to do the movie, so to see their father in a fantasy film.

Vijay, who has a mass following in Tamil Cinema, refused to do this film as his character is more of a comedy one. Directed by Chimbu Deven, “Puli” has a good story to work hence agreed to act in it, said Vijay.

Vijay’s Puli is made with a lot of high quality visuals. Approximately 2500 VFX shots were used in this film. This film was produced by SKT studios. Since the film is a fantasy adventure, it has expectations of being a crowd puller, especially the child audience.

Sridevi will also be seen in this film. In the trailers that were released she looks magnificent. Rumours have that Sridevi has a negative shaded character in the film. Kollywood actor Vijay’s new film Puli is getting ready for release soon, and it will also be releasing in Telugu. Already the dubbing rights for Telugu version Puli were sold out. Actress Sridevi played a significant role in the movie. Now the latest buzz in the industry is that Sridevi has demanded Rs 1 crore to give her voice for Telugu version of Puli. Shoba Rani of SVR Media has bagged the distribution rights of Puli’s Telugu version.

Sridevi plays the role of a Queen in the movie. After 29 years, Sridevi is making her comeback to Tamil cinema with the film Puli. Sridevi looks like an evil princess in the trailer and her look seems inspired from Hollywood star Angelina Jolie in ‘Maleficent’.

Shruti Hassan and Hansika played the female lead roles in the film. Hansika will be seen as Sridevi’s daughter in the flick. Kannada actor Sudeep is also playing an important role in the movie.

Puli movie, directed by Chimbu Deven and Devi Sri Prasad, scored the music. The film is expected to hit the big screens in October.
