Ilayathalapathy Vijay says that he did Puli for the sake of his children. When director approached Vijay with Puli, he didn’t agree to do the film. But his children Sanjay and Divya pleaded him to do the movie, so to see their father in a fantasy film.
Vijay, who has a mass following in Tamil Cinema, refused to do this film as his character is more of a comedy one. Directed by Chimbu Deven, “Puli” has a good story to work hence agreed to act in it, said Vijay.
Vijay’s Puli is made with a lot of high quality visuals. Approximately 2500 VFX shots were used in this film. This film was produced by SKT studios. Since the film is a fantasy adventure, it has expectations of being a crowd puller, especially the child audience.
Sridevi will also be seen in this film. In the trailers that were released she looks magnificent. Rumours have that Sridevi has a negative shaded character in the film. Hansika and Shruthi Hassan will be leading ladies for Vijay while “Kiccha” Sudeep is the lead villain. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
118 Cr budget “Puli” is scheduled to release on October 1st in multiple languages.
