Director Harish Shankar is shooting continuously for his upcoming film Valmiki. As there are just about 45 days left for the release, Harish is setting up continuous schedules and trying to wrap up the shooting part as soon as possible. A new entrant has joined the sets the other day.

She is none other than star heroine Pooja Hegde, who is playing a key role in the film. Pooja joined the shoot yesterday and Harish posted a backside picture on Twitter and tweeted, “Guys See whose on Board ..” Immediately Pooja replied, “I wonderrr….. ”

Pooja Hegde will be seen in a flashback episode as the love interest of hero Varun Tej. This is the second time Pooja is working with Harish Shankar, after DJ. Valmiki also stars Atharva Murali in the other lead role. Produced by 14 Reels Plus LLP, this movie is slated for the release on September 13.

Gangster comedy-drama Jigarthanda is a big hit in Tamil film industry. It is often considered as the modern age classic and also has a cult following among the Tamil audience. Starring Siddharth and Bobby Simha in the lead roles, this movie is directed by Karthik Subburaj. 

Jigarthanda is now being remade into Telugu as Valmiki. Directed by Harish Shankar, this movie stars Varun Tej and Atharvaa Murali in the lead roles. This remake is slated to release in September. Now, the latest buzz revealed that the movie will also be remade in Hindi soon.

Popular Hindi producer Sajid Nadiadwala bought the remake rights of this movie and he will be taking it on floors very soon. Abhishek Chaubey of Udta Punjab and Sonchariya fame will be directing it. Currently, the team is finalizing the cast and crew and an official announcement is expected to be announced soon.

She will be seen as Varun’s love interest in present times. It is good to see a Telugu girl getting a big opportunity in the form of her first film and hope Krishna Manjusha uses it to her best. Tamil actor Atharva Murali is also playing a key role in the film. Valmiki will be released worldwide on September 6.

It is already known that director Harish Shankar is currently working with hero Varun Tej for the film, Valmiki. This is an official remake of Tamil super hit movie Jigarthanda. The shoot of this film was started a couple of months back but the project is being let down by a few setbacks every now and then.

A few days back, it was reported that Pooja Hegde, who was supposed to act as the heroine in the film, has walked out of it due to remuneration issues. Now, it is being heard that music director Devi Sri Prasad has also walked out and he is replaced by another composer, Mickey J Meyer.

Apparently, both Harish and Devi had creative differences which ultimately resulted in the exit of Devi. Eventually, the offer landed in the lap of Mickey, who is waiting for a big project for a long time. Stay tuned for more updates on this news.

Mega Prince Varun Tej who recently scored a blockbuster with ‘F2: Fun and Frustration’ is going to come up with a remake movie ‘Valmiki’ which is a gangster comedy-drama.

The movie is going to be the official Telugu remake of Tamil super hit film ‘Jigarthanda’ in which Siddharth and Bobby Simha played crucial roles. Varun Tej is going to play the antagonist role essayed by Bobby Simha in the original version. Atharva is playing the lead role in the Telugu version. Harish Shankar is helming this project. As per the latest reports, the makers have finally kick-started the shooting of the movie. The regular shooting has commenced from Thursday.

Achanta Ramu, Achanta Gopinath under 14 Reels Plus banner are bankrolling this project. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for this movie. Ayanka Bose is handling the camera.

The Telugu version of the movie is titled as Valmiki and the official launch of the film took place yesterday in Hyderabad. The first clap was given by Niharika Konidela while the top directors VV Vinayak and Sukumar performed the other honours. Dil Raju also graced the occasion and the film is bankrolled under 14 Reels Plus banner, which belongs to Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta.

Sree Vishnu is playing Siddarth’s role in the film while Varun will be seen in the role played by Bobby Simha. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director of the film.
