After the successful Petta, Superstar Rajinikanth is acting in the film Darbar which is being directed by star filmmaker AR Murugadoss. Already, the film has completed half of its shoot. Most of the filming is being done in Mumbai as Rajini will be seen as a Mumbai cop in the movie.

Recently, an on-location picture is being flown in media in which Rajini is seen in a cop avatar. Rajini looks suave in the cop uniform and it seems that fans will have a feast watching their favorite actor in a police avatar after such a long time. This is not the first picture that leaked from the sets as the makers are facing this problem since the start of the shoot.

Lady Superstar Nayanthara is playing the female lead in this movie. Darbar is being produced by Lyca Productions and Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for it. This film is slated for the release during Pongal 2020.

Super Star Rajinikanth and director Shankar collaborated for a mega magnum opus titled 2.0. The film released in Telugu and Tamil languages already and went on to do average business at the box-office. The movie unit planned to release the film in China and many top production/distribution houses in the country competed to grab the rights for the movie.

Unfortunately, the Chinese company HY Media that brought the rights of the movie for a whopping amount called off the release of the movie in the last minute. The film was supposed to hit more than 50K screens on July 12th. But, the distributor backed out now since he is not sure of the movie which needs to collect 175 crores which are the only way to gain the profits on the movie.

The negotiations are going on but there is no clarity if the film will release on a later date.

After the success of Petta, Superstar Rajinikanth has opted to do a film with star director AR Murugadoss. The film is titled as Darbar and Rajini will be seen in the role of a powerful cop in it. Most of the story will take place in Mumbai and hence, the makers are shooting the film currently in the same city.

Nayanthara is acting as the heroine in the movie. Another actress Nivetha Thomas will be seen in the role of Rajini’s daughter in the movie. It also stars Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar in a negative role. Now, it seems that another renowned actor is all set to join the team of Darbar.

He is none other than Malayalam actor Chemban Vinod Jose. He will be seen in a negative role as well, in this movie. This powerful cop drama is being produced under Lyca Productions. Anirudh is composing the music for it.

Darbar is the upcoming film in South film industry starring Super Star Rajinikanth in the lead role. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is produced by Lyca Productions. The interesting buzz is that the film’s shoot is currently happening in a college located in Mumbai. The students who belong to the college have reached the shooting spot to get a glimpse of the shoot but the security personnel has restricted them and it resulted in an ugly spat between the students and the film unit.

Apparently, there were reports that the students pelted stones on the film unit and director Murugadoss stepped in, to solve the issue. He immediately approached the college management and complained the same to the management. The makers are now planning to change the location of the shoot.

Nayanathara is playing the heroine in the film. Anirudh is the music director.

‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth has joined hands with filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss for his next, titled ‘Darbar’ and the film’s first look was released a couple of weeks ago. Reportedly, Nayanatara will be playing the female lead and Rajinikanth will be seen as a cop in the film.

According to the sources, Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar has been roped in for this film and will be essaying the role of antagonist. He has debuted with ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ and made ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ with Gautham Menon, a remake of ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ and also seen in many films like ‘Dobhi Ghat’. This hero has joined the shoot of the film, which is commencing its first schedule in Mumbai for another week and the shoot is going on a brisk phase.

Lyca Productions is bankrolling this highly-anticipated biggie and Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music.

Super Star Rajinikanth’s new movie Darbar, in the direction of AR Murugadoss, was announced recently and the regular shoot of this project is going to begin very soon. The film was announced after Rajinikanth announced his political entry. Produced by Lyca, the film will go on sets next month in Mumbai.
