Popular Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat is currently residing in foreign along with her boyfriend, Siril. The latest buzz is that the actress is evading rent to the owner and so far, she has skipped a rent of 80K Euros which is 64lakhs in Indian currency.

On the other side, Mallika has an interesting version to tell about this. Last year, there was an attack on the actress’ boyfriend while they are coming to the flat. The actress says that she’s not paying the rent because the flat owner has failed to provide proper security. Her advocate also revealed that she’s undergoing a financial crisis.

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat was reportedly assaulted by three masked intruders in her apartment in Paris.

According to the reports published in French newspapers, the three masked men sprayed tear gas at Sherawat and her male friend before landing continuous punches on them, soon after they arrived to her apartment on 11th November. The attackers, believed to be robbers, then ran away without saying anything.

A shocked Mallika Sherawat and her friend immediately called the emergency service. Sherawat had to get treatment after sustaining heavy blows on her face. Mallika hasn’t yet made any official statement on this. A criminal investigation has reportedly been launched.

It may be noted that this attack happened barely a month after reality TV star Kim Kardashian was attacked in a similar fashion in the same vicinity.

The poster has Mallika sitting atop an ambassador, draped in Tri-color cloth with the Rajasthan Assembly building in the background. The movie is said to be based upon Bhanwari Devi Controversy.

The use of Tri-color in such manner is deemed dishonoring by the court and notices have been issued against Mallika.

After the report, Mallika Sherawat took to Twitter to express herself. The actress tweeted, “LEAVE ME ALONE!”

When contacted by a prominent media house, Mallika said: “Antonio Banderas is a wonderful man, a great dancer and an acquaintance of mine. I did not go on any vacation with him, and I’m sorry he’s going through a divorce.”

Mallika went international with Jackie Chan-starrer 2005 film “The Myth”, and then did Jennifer Lynch’s “Hisss” and William Dear’s “Politics of Love”.

Her first visit to the Cannes fest was with Jackie Chan for the promotion of “The Myth”.

Mallika Sherawat seems to have done it again – stepped right into a controversy, that is.

And this time, she is all set to raise the temperature further with the first look poster of Dirty Politics.

The poster shows Mallika draped in a tricolour. It has got filmmaker KC Bokadia in trouble of the political kind.

Mallika, in the poster, is shown sitting on the top of an Ambassador with a beacon, right outside the State legislative Assembly of Rajasthan, holding a CD in her hand, but draped only in the tricolour.

He says, “workers of a political party from Rajasthan are putting pressure on me to change the tricolour into some other scrap of fabric.”

“The poster is provocative,” admits Bokadia, and since the film is said to be based on ‘Bhanwari Devi sex scandal’, a political party got to know about it. And though tricolour dresses have always led to controversy for the wearer in the past, this time, Bokadia says it is not essentially an Indian flag since there is no Ashoka Chakra in the centre. But then again, resemblance to the colours of our flag is sure to raise eyebrows.

“It has nothing to do with tricolour, nor is it any political party’s symbol. Also, there is no Ashoka Chakra, so essentially, it is just a piece of cloth in three different colours.”,adds the film maker KC Bokadia.

Regarding the “pressure” by a political party, he says, “Sincerely, I don’t want to earn the displeasure of any political party. I am just a filmmaker and using my creativity to put forth my point of view. As far as guidelines are concerned, the poster will be censored according to Indian Motion Picture Producers Association guidelines. So, I don’t know why I am being asked by this political party to change it.”

The film stars Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, Govind Namdev, Ashutosh Rana and Rajpal Yadav with Mallika Sherawat

Well, only time will tell if this controversial act will do any good to mallika and the film given that the theme of the film is quite sensitive itself.
