Karan Johar is one of the most celebrated filmmakers in the country. In a career spanning over 22 years, Karan has never scored a flop in his career. Staring his career with blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, he went on to make many blockbusters like Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham, Student of the Year and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

The director is now honored by Madame Tussauds by making a wax replica. He unveiled the statue earlier today in Madame Tussauds Singapore. He was accompanied by his mother Hiroo Johar and she was elated to see the replica of her son. Karan is the first Indian filmmaker to get a wax statue in Madame Tussauds.

Many celebrities across Bollywood like Farah Khan, Malaika Arora, Manisha Koirala, Punit Malhotra and Sophie Chowdary have congratulated Karan for his achievement. Coming to the career front, Karan is now prepping up to direct his next film, Takht very soon.

KJo invites celebs to his show and often irks them with questions which lead to controversies. However, top actress Anushka Sharma had given a big jolt to him, on his show, when she attended as the guest alongside fellow actress Katrina Kaif.

When Karan said, ‘I have fallen in love with Anushka, and that is the main reason behind making Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,’ Anushka quickly put her wit into action saying, ‘is it why you touched me inappropriately during the film’s shoot. I should have filed a sexual harassment case against you’.

When Katrina tried to defend KJo, Anushka launched another weapon saying, ‘Jacqueline Fernandez has told me that you touched her inappropriately during a party.’

A witty KJo was for the first time on the receiving side on his show.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known for his spontaneity and chivalrous humor and he rarely gets serious during interviews and chat sessions. Recently, he got angry when his close friend and filmmaker Karan Johar asked him a personal question.

SRK attended as the first guest on the Season 5 of ‘Koffee with Karan’ show hosted by Karan Johar. After a lot of professional as well as personal queries, when the host asked him, ‘What would you do if someone kisses your Daughter Suhana’, the world’s biggest superstar, who acts very protective of his children, immediately replied that he would rip the lips off such person.

The funny and charismatic SRK suddenly turned red while he made this remark. Of course he is a celebrity but which father would refrain himself when such an act is performed to his daughter?

If the latest reports in Bollywood circles are to be believed, ace filmmaker Karan Johar may not associate with Rajamouli’s highly anticipated visual extravaganza ‘Baahubali 2’.

It may be recalled that Karan Johar had released ‘Baahubali’ in North and he played a key role in getting a wider release for the movie. Post the gigantic success of the first part, and there is an unprecedented demand for the distribution rights of Baahubali 2.

The film’s rights of Telugu states, overseas, Kerala and Tamil Nadu have already been bagged for staggering prices. Several Bollywood producers are offering lucrative sum to grab the rights of North but producers are still waiting for bidding from Karan Johar, who is heard not to be interested in quoting a price on par with others. Makers are also not ready to sell the rights for a lesser price.

So, Karan Johar may opt out of ‘Baahubali 2, ’ but nothing is finalized as of yet.

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to co produce remake of a french film ‘The Intouchables’. The film will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment.

The film will be the official remake of the french film, “The Intouchables”.

According to reports, Mohit Suri ( of ‘Aashiqui 2’ fame ) has been signed on to direct this film.

Karan Johar took to Twitter to announce the collaboration of Dharma Productions with Sikhya Entertainment.

“Guneet Monga (Sikhya Entertainment) and Dharma Productions will co-produce the Official remake of #Intouchables…directed by Mohit Suri….,” he tweeted.

According to reports, ‘The Intouchables’ is one film that Karan Johar loved and always wanted to make.
However, the film is still in the scripting stage and the casting decisions are yet to be made.

If rumours are anything to go by, the film will mostly star Karan Johar’s current favourite, Siddharth Malhotra in the lead.

However, an official announcement about the cast of the film is awaited as it has not been finalised yet.
