Revealing more details about Rajinikanth’s look in the film, the director said “I worked very hard to sketch his character. We all liked the salt and pepper look which has become so popular today. Rajini sir will be seen in the elderly look for just about 20 minutes in the film. Rajinikanth will be seen young for the rest of the film. I fell back on his ’80s look for the styling of the young Rajini, and it will surely impress.”

Irrfan Khan, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Madaari, said that the similarity between the films’ posters,“Even I didn’t know that. We are small filmmakers, and I saw that Rajinikanthji’s film stole the poster of our film. You see his film’s poster and see our film’s poster. No big deal about it. Watch his film and watch our film, too.” This quote made many believe that the poster has actually been stolen considering the glaring similarity between the two.

But it seems it was just a fragment of a fan’s imagination. Both the posters had the faces of the lead actors, Irrfan Khan and Rajinikanth, with numerous buildings standing horizontally on their faces. Ever since Rajinikanth’s Kabali was announced various posters of the film have been doing the rounds. Rajinikanth had shared two posters on his Twitter account in September last year when the shooting had begun.

The audio of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming gangster drama ‘Kabali’ was unveiled in a low-key function at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai on 11th June.

The audio launch event was held without the presence of Rajinikanth as he is currently holidaying in the US. As he wasn’t present in the country at the time of audio launch, the makers decided to have a private launch. The audio will be released online at 11:06 am on June 12.
