Legendary director K. Raghavendra Rao has been staying off from the films for a long time. His last directorial venture was Om Namo Venkateshaya, which was released in 2017. Recently, he announced a new project, which will not be directed by him but instead he will produce it.

This will be an anthology with three stories. Raghavendra Rao has also stated that the three stories will be directed by three different directors and will have three different heroines. Naga Shaurya will be the lead hero in all the stories. Apparently, Raghavendra Rao has finalized two of the three directors.

They are Prakash Kovelamudi and Krish. Prakash is the son of Raghavendra Rao who directed the soon-to-be-released Judgemental Hai Kya. Meanwhile, it seems that Raghavendra Rao approached young directors like Prashanth Varma, Gautham Tinnannuri and KVR Mahendra to be the third director of the film but he is yet to get a word back from them.

Popular director K Raghavendra Rao made some interesting comments on the latest blockbuster Geetha Govindam starring Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the leads. The movie already entered 100 crores club and the critics raved the film with positive reviews. Parasuram is the director of the film and Bunny Vas produced it. Allu Aravind presented the film and Raghavender Rao made some comments in his style.

During Santhosham Awards event, Raghavendra Rao made these comments. While speaking at the event, Raghavender Rao said that Geetha Govindam was a copy of his film Pelli Sandadi. KRR made the comments in a funny manner and appreciated the film unit.

“20 years ago, I and Allu Aravind made the film Pelli Sandadi and while watching Geetha Govindam, I was reminded of my movie. It’s been mandatory to include lip-lock sequences in the recent times. But, Parasuram worked hard on the subject and made a clean movie which is appreciable.” said the senior director.

Legendary filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao is one of the persons who knew very well about Mahanati Savitri gaaru. However, recently KRR revealed that he was not approached to get any information about Savitri’s professional and personal life.

However, it is known that producers Swapna and Priyanka, daughters of yesteryear producer Ashwini Dutt, were very close to Raghavendra Rao since their childhood as he directed 8 films under the production banner of Vyjayanthi Movies.

They may contact him for more details about Savitri. But they didn’t approach him, which leads KRR to upset. Raghavendra Rao stated that he was really upset for the makers of the film neglecting him to enquire anything about Savitri gaaru. While speaking, he said that, “Savitri was the heroine of Pandava Vanavasam, my first film as an assistant director. I worked for numerous films with her. I didn’t know why but you haven’t approached me to ask anything about her.’

Actually, Nag Ashwin is said to have done extensive research before starting Mahanati. Savitri’s daughter Vijaya Chamundeswari and son Sathish Kumaar gave complete info about their mother from her professional life to personal life.

Raghavendra Rao, the legendary director of Telugu Cinema, recently revealed that he will direct more devotional films in future.

Well, the sources close to KRR said that the director has planned to make two devotional movies, one with Venkatesh Daggubati and other with Comedian turned actor Sunil. The script work for both upcoming devotional movies is going on.

It is heard they understand Raghavendra Rao decided to helm a devotional movie with Venkatesh as the director has already made devotional hit movies with the other three senior star heroes. And KRR is also planning to make movie with Sunil with a good script.

Mega Supreme hero Sai Dharam Tej is currently very much busy shooting for the film Jawaan and the complete shoot of the film has been wrapped up successfully. The veteran director K Raghavendra Rao has paid a special and surprise visit to the film sets of Jawaan and has directed a special shot of the film.

BVS Ravi is the director of the film and he was very much happy with the presence of Raghavendra Rao on the film sets. The film’s producer Krishna, DOP KV Guhan and others were present at the time when the senior director visited the sets.

Handsome hunk Daggubati Rana is proving his talent in all kind of roles. Now he is approached for a full fledged role in a mythology based flick.

Going into the details, since some days a mythological flick is being planned by Legendary maker K Raghavendra Rao on the Evil Lord Ravana. Touted to be the life history of Ravana, Mohan Babu will be playing the key role of Ravana in this flick. One of the characters is Lord Hanuman, and for this role, it is speculated that Rana has been approached to play the character. Rana who always love challenges has rumored to be accepted this offer. This movie is yet to get started officially by the makers.

Already Rana is donning an unknown mythological role in visionary maker Gunasekhar’s next which is titled Hiranyakasipa.

Taapsee Pannu made her debut with the film Jhummandi Nadham. The film is directed by K Raghavendra Rao. Taapsee later did a lot of other Telugu films in the industry and she later went to the Bollywood film industry. She recently made fun of K Raghavendra Rao that he would show heroines in a sensual way.

In what may call as unbelievable facts, the producers of Baahubali have declared about the whole trade of the first part. Their revelations are quite shocking to the common audience.

The first part Baahubali: The Beginning not only thrashed the records but stood as the highest grosser at that time with more than 600 crores worldwide. So we can imagine the range of profits bagged by the producers. On the contrary to these numbers, the presenter K Raghavendra Rao along with the producers Shobu and Prasad claim that they have actually ended up with losses. Being made with a budget of about 125 crores, this movie was sold out for very short margin such that the table profits are so less. They said that the buyers enjoyed the excess returns and they didn’t share any profit from any region. According to them, the Hindi buyers saw the excess profits than any other.

And the fact that the first part got released in Germany, China, and other places, the release and distribution costs are bared by producers which made their losses double.

K Raghavendra Rao is one of the rare veteran directors who continue to make films even in this age of young filmmakers. It was a big surprise to know that he has been planning to direct young tiger NTR Jr in a VFX epic.

Raghavendra Rao is currently directing Nagarjuna Akkineni in a devotional film titled ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’. The director of the film, K Raghavendra Rao himself shared the logo video on his Facebook page. Soon after the launch, it has gone viral on social media and everyone started sharing it. S Gopal Reddy is taking care of the cinematography department for the ​devotional flick.

The primary shot of the film was filmed on the hero Nagarjuna. The film is based on the story of Hathi Ram Baba. The film shoot is currently progressing on hero Nagarjuna in a uniquely collected set in Annapurna Studios. Anushka Shetty, Vimala Raman, Pavani Gangi Reddy, Saurabh Jain will be seen in important roles of the film. Keeravani scored the music.

Akkineni Nagarjuna has finally revealed the title of his next film to media. He along with the director K Raghavendra Rao today visited Tirupathi and after completing Lord Venkateswara Darshan, he spoke to media. Nagarjuna revealed that he is going to act in Raghavendra Rao direction again for a devotional film. The film is titled as “Om Namo Venkatesa”. The film is based on the story of Lord Venkateswara devotee Hathi Ram Baba. Saurabh Jain will be seen playing Lord Venkateswara in the film.

Vimala Raman and Pavani Gangireddy will be seen as Goddess Lakshmi and Bhoodevi in the film. JK Bharavi is working on the film’s script for a long time. MM Keeravani is the music director for the film. The film’s regular shoot starts from 25th of this month.

Recently, the entire Tollywood shook up with the reports that the shocking incident of a young writer’s attack on Darsakendrudu K.Raghavendra Rao, this became a hot topic of discussion in the Tollywood media. A stranger destroyed Audi and Benz cars windshields with an iron rod which are parked inside Raghavendra Rao ’s home. This stranger named Ravindra alleged that Tollywood filmmaker cum producer K. Raghavendra Rao failed to give him writing credits and remuneration for the film Sri Ramadasu.

Going deep into details, 28-year-old scriptwriter named Ravindra approached KRR with his Sri Ramadasu script way back in 2003. Impressed with the script, Raghavendra Rao reportedly promised to offer 15 lakhs and asked him to come to Hyderabad to collect the money, but when he did, he started absconding from the scene. So due that frustration he attacked Raghavendra Rao Kovelamudi’s house.

Ravindra was taken into judicial custody and booked under IPC Section 452 and 427. The worried Ravindra’s parents alleged that their son has a threat to his life from K Raghavendra Rao, who also requested KCR’s government to protect their son.

However, Raghavendra Rao has dismissed all these allegations and maintained that the story of Sri Ramadasu was penned by Bharavi alone.

After entertaining audiences with few commercial films and three devotional films ‘Annamayya’, ‘Sri Ramadasu’ and ‘Shirdi Sai’, the duo is teaming up to film the story of Hathiram Baba, the ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara. The shooting is expected to roll from the first week of July. Nagarjuna is growing beard and hair for his role.

Music director MM Keeravani has already composed four songs for the film. Anushka, ‘Kanche’ fame Pragya Jaiswal and Vimala Raman have been roped in to essay crucial roles in the devotional film. This will be Nag’s immediate project after delivering hits like ‘Manam’, ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ and ‘Oopiri’.
