Harish Shankar is one of the talented filmmakers in Telugu film industry. The director has faced a sad moment today at Rajeev Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. Harish Shankar and few other friends have planned to leave for Chennai today morning. Harish Shankar was supposed to meet Devi Sri Prasad to discuss some important things about his film Duvvada Jagannadham. IndiGo Airlines staff have refused to allow the director, citing the reason that he has come late. The director is feeling sad about it and posted the same on Twitter.

The director said that the airlines usually turn up with delays but also questioned them that why don’t they allow passengers who turn up with a slight delay. Many users on Twitter came to the support of Harish Shankar.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun starrer ‘DJ’ aka ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ was announced some time back and here is the latest update on the film now. The film Duvvada Jagannadham is going to have its regular shoot from tomorrow. The makers have locked the script, and they are ready to hit the floors now. Harish Shankar who earlier made the films like ‘Mirapakay,’ ‘Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Subramanyam For Sale’ is directing this film. Allu Arjun will be seen in the title role which is said to be a very interesting one. Pooja Hegde is going to play the female lead in the film.

Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for the film. Already the recording sessions for the film have started. The shoot of the first schedule will take place in Hyderabad. Dil Raju is producing the film, and this film marks 25th film from his home production. More details about the film will be revealed soon.

The source close to the film revealed that Harish Shankar has already bought rights of the movie, and he still has plans to remake it sometime next year. The film may go to the sets once he wraps up ‘DJ’ with Allu Arjun. He is planning to produce and direct the remake of ‘Special 26.’ It is also learnt that his friend Krishna will co-produce it.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s next film is in the direction of Harish Shankar. The film is titled as ‘DJ – Duvvada Jagannadham’ The film unit held the official launch of the film today morning at Film Nagar temple in Hyderabad. Allu Aravind gave the first clap. Dil Raju is the producer of the film. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director. Many film personalities like V V Vinayak, Vamshi Paidipally, Shyam prasad Reddy and few others have attended the muhurtham event.

The regular shoot of the film will start from the first week of September. The makers are planning to release the film for Summer next year. Pooja Hegde is in consideration to play the female lead role in the film. More details about the film would be revealed soon by the makers.

It seems that Allu Arjun has also decided to join the list of Tollywood stars who ventured into other businesses.

As per the latest report carried by a leading daily, Allu Arjun is gearing up to launch a lavish nightclub in the Pearl City on July 29. Bunny has teamed up with international hospitality brand M Kitchen and Hylife Brewing Co. to float a luxurious party hotspot. Bunny assured that it would be one-of-a-kind party hotspot in Hyderabad.

Sharing the details about his Nightclub in an interview to a leading English daily, Bunny revealed that he had always thought that the city lacks the high profile nightclub experience that most other cities across the world have. He hopes that his new endeavor will be a big success.

On the work front, Bunny will next work with director Harish Shankar for a film to be produced by Dil Raju.

There seems to be to be last minute changes to Allu Arjun’s next film. After ‘Sarainodu’ had recorded a blockbuster hit, Bunny is getting ready to join the set of his bilingual untitled movie under the direction of Kollywood filmmaker Linguswamy and recently he gave his consent to 24 fame Vikram Kumar and Trivikram Srinivas. Meanwhile, director Harish Shankar’s name came into the scene for Allu Arjun’s next.

As for the reports, Harish Shankar has narrated a story to Allu Arjun, which has an interesting character designed for him. The star has reportedly given his nod to work with Harish Shankar. Harish is known for hero-elevation, and he did it well in “Gabbar Singh” which brought Pawan to limelight again. But, as of now Bunny is Scheduled with his two bilingual movies with Linguswamy and 24 fame Vikram Kumar. So, It seems that Harish will have to wait long to make his directorial venture with Bunny.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan has announced that he will be quitting films. He clearly stated that he will be doing only two to three films now. Of which one film will be in the direction of SJ Surya which is going to begin on 3rd June. The second film will be in the production of Dasari Narayana Rao. Trivikram Srinivas is expected to direct this film. And there is a lot of curiosity on the third and last film with which Pawan calls a break for movies. The buzz reveals that Pawan will team up Harish Shankar.

Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan have teamed up in the past for the film Gabbar Singh. The director has stayed away from star heroes after the failure of Ramayya Vasthavayya. But he was back on track with the film Subrahmanyam for Sale. He is busy in preparing a script for Pawan Kalyan. AM Ratnam, who produced Kushi, will bankroll the project. Grape wine has that Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is likely to confirm Harish Shankar’s film next, who did ‘Shock’ and ‘Mirapakay’ with him.

There was a time during when Harish was struggling to become a director in early 2000’s. With gaining some experience as an assistant, Harish worked as an associate director for Ravi Teja’s ‘Veede.’ Impressed by his commitment, Ravi promised Harish that he’ll act under his direction. Few years later in 2006, Harish directed ‘Shock’ that featured Ravi Teja and Jyothika. Though this film didn’t do well commercially, Harish impressed critics.

With ‘Shock’ leaving in nowhere, Harish took a few years gap and directed ‘Mirapakay’ in 2011. Ravi Teja was once again seen as the hero while Richa Gangopadhyay, Deeksha Seth paired opposite him. This film was received commercially and gave a new hope for Harish.

In 2012, he remade Bollywood super hit flick ‘Dabangg’ as ‘Gabbar Singh’ that featured Pawan Kalyan as a cop. This film turned out to become a massive hit and stood as the highest grosser in Telugu film till then.

With two back to back super hits, Harish got the chance of directing Jr.NTR for ‘Ramayya Vasthavayya.’ Harish, who hoped that this too will turn out to become a blockbuster, saw an opposite result. ‘Ramayya Vasthavayya’ was a flop.

Once again falling low in the career with ‘Ramayya Vasthavayya’ disaster, Harish was left with a question mark. After a year and a half gap, Harish took up the megaphone to direct Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej for ‘Subramanyam For Sale.’

This film had released some time ago and stood as a decent hit bringing back the lost confidence in Harish.

His next film is not yet announced. It is likely that he will be directing his first hero Ravi Teja once again. Harish is hoping to stand in the big league by bagging another hit Ravi Teja….let hope he does so.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan had announced some time ago that he will produce a film with mega power star Ram Charan in lead under his production house, Pawan Kalyan Creative Works.

As a part of it, Pawan Kalyan approached very close directors to him to write a script of Charan.

As per the latest buzz, Pawan is impressed with a story narrated by director Harish Shankar, who directed him in blockbuster film ‘Gabbar Singh’. Harish also narrated the same to Ram Charan and got a green signal from both the sides. Hence, Pawan’s new production venture with Charan in the lead will be directed by Harish Shankar. The project will go on floors by the end of 2016. An official confirmation in this regard is awaited.

Director Harish Shankar has a good relation with Mega family from the beginning. In Ravi Teja starrer Mirchi, it was Nagababu who did a cameo as a police officer. Later he got the opportunity to direct his favourite hero Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Very recently, he directed Sai Dharam Tej in “Subramanyam For Sale.”

Earlier he publicly announced that his wish is to direct Mega Star Chiranjeevi, to which Chiru said to create a nice family entertainer and assured of doing it. He was the initial selection for Sardar Gabbar Singh, but couldn’t make it all the way for some unknown reason.

Now, which Pawan-Charan movie, Harish Shankar is back in business with Pawan Kalyan.

Pawan also has plans to produce small and medium budget films under his banner. He is currently busy shooting for his action entertainer ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’.

Young Tiger Jr NTR is once again teaming up with Harish Shankar for a new movie. The duo earlier paired for the film “Ramayya Vastavayya” but that was a flop movie. So, now once again they are pairing up for a new Telugu film, which is going to be launched in the middle of August. As per the sources, this project will be produced by Dil Raju. Harish Shankar is currently busy with the post-production works of his upcoming film “Subramanyam For Sale” starring Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej and Regina Cassandra in main lead roles. This movie is also producing by Dil Raju. Subramanyam For Sale is getting ready for release on August 22nd on the eve of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s birthday.
