Touted to be the story of first Telugu King Gautamiputra Satakarni, the flick itself is a proud flick for the two states of Telugu. After creating much-needed buzz with promos, songs, trailers, and rituals, now makers have opted for Flag hoisting thing for the first time in Telugu Cinema. In 100 theaters, the flags of Salivahana which has the emblem of their signature will be hoisted in the theaters on 8th of January. The hero Balakrishna will hoist the first flag in Jyothi theater in Visakhapatnam. Balayya fan groups will take care about remaining theaters. This is a new and refreshing way to promote the flick as one gets the feeling that they go into the kingdom of Salivahanas when they go to the movie.

This prestigious 100th flick of Balayya will be released on 12th of this month. Chirantan Bhatt has scored excellent music and background. Krish has co-produced and directed this proud flick for Nandamuri fans.

The Sankranthi season this year is going to be interesting and exciting. There are almost four films fighting for domination at the box office, but the final box office war would be certainly between Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna.

It is Mega Star Chiranjeevi who is starting off the race. The film Khaidi No 150, which is the official remake of the Tamil superhit film Kaththi is the first one to entertain the audiences this year on 11th. With megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 and Balakrishna Nandamuri’s Gautamiputra Satakarni slated for a clash on the eve of coming Sankranthi festival, a lot of impolite discussions are happening on social media.

The inadvertent comments of director Krish and Allu Arjun also played a role in aggravating the situation. Amidst all this, mega brother Naga Babu has given a subtle advice to all fans.

Naga Babu explained how hard filmmaking is and said, ‘If a film flops, all the people linked to it get dejected. It’s immoral to endorse negative propaganda against the films of other heroes and patronize movies of our favorite heroes. Instead of fighting among themselves, fans should encourage good cinema irrespective of the hero’.

A section of Nandamuri fans are abuzz with the reports that Nandamuri Balakrishna’s son Mokshagna will make his debut with the actor’s upcoming historical film Gautamiputra Satakarni.

Balayya has some time ago announced that Mokshagna will make his acting debut in 2017. Although rumors erupted about behind the curtains story discussions, no concrete news came regarding the debut.

The latest buzz is that Mokshagna has played the role of son of Pulomavi, Satakarni’s son in GPS. It was earlier heard that he would essay the character of Pulomavi. Makers are very tight lipped about these rumors.

Some say that Mokshagna’s role has been kept a secret purposely and that it might be revealed a day or two ahead of the film’s theatrical release. If it turns out to be true, it will be a festival for Nandamuri fans and an advantage for GPS.

Director Krish’s speech at Gautamiputra Satakarni audio launch became controversial with the usage of one word Khabardar at the end of his speech. However, Krish cleared all the confusions by explaining the statement and situation.

“This is my kind request for all. My Khabardar term was an expression of pain on behalf of all the Telugu people. Our Telugu culture and heritage haven’t got enough respect and reward, they actually demand in history, My Khabardar is a warning to the entire country and entire world. I am saying these words directly from heart.

We lived as Madarasis for some time in history. But, till today we are often seen with levity and inferiority. My Khabardar is a voice against this levity. Please do not search for new meanings in my words.”

He further admitted that, “My second movie is Vedam with Allu Arjun. Fourth movie is Kanche with Varun Tej. Before entering into film industry, Charan is my best friend. Chiranjeevi garu is a great personality and an inspiration for me to enter into films. Please do not build Kanche between us by reading in between the lines where actually there is nothing.”

The team of Gautamiputra Satakarni comprising Nandamuri Balakrishna, Hema Malini, Shriya Saran and others visited Tirumala Tirupathi on Tuesday to offer special prayers to Lord Venkateswara, seeking his blessings for the success of the film.

On the eve, Balayya spoke to media and said that GPS was an important film not just for him and his producers but for the entire Telugu film industry and Telugu people. He added that it was the responsibility of everyone to respect our ancestors and that GPS is the story of the first greatest ruler of India, Satakarni.

The audio launch of this historical film was held the other day at a huge event in Tirupathi. The audio and making videos are receiving great applause from movie lovers. Makers are planning to release the film in highest possible number of screens across the world for Sankranthi 2017.

The makers of Gautamiputra Satakarni have finally announced the date for the theatrical trailer launch of the film. Going by the latest press release from the movie unit, we came to know that the theatrical trailer of the film will be launched on 16th of this month at Sri Tirumala Theatre in Karimnagar. Nandamuri Balakrishna and Krish will also perform pooja at Koti Lingala temple on 16th December. Koti Lingala was a prominent town under Satakarni’s rule. Kotilingala was the first capital of Satavahanas in 1st century AD. The entire film unit will be present at the event in Karimnagar.

Balakrishna, Shriya Saran, and Hema Malini will be seen in the lead roles of the film. The film is directed and produced by Krish on First Frame Entertainments banner. Chiratan Bhatt is the music director of the film.

Fans of Nandamuri Balakrishna have taken upon the ominous job of conducting prayers at 1116 temples across the nation for the success of their favorite hero’s upcoming film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’.

Their tour started on November 8 and this Tuesday, they reached Kadapa. Under the supervision of NBK Helping Hands president Jagan, fans of Balayya performed special prayers at the famous Kadapa Dargah and next offered poojas at a few other temples in the city limits.
