Said to be an epic action-adventure thriller, the film has Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of Khudabaksh. The film unit revealed the poster in which Amitabh is seen with a sword in his hand, an Armour on his body, a turban on his head. He was perfect for the role of Thug.

Father in law of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter, Shweta Bachchan, Rajan Nanda who is a businessman passed away last night. Big B who is currently in Bulgaria shooting for Brahmastra movie rushed to India. He revealed the news on his social media page. “My relative Mr Rajan Nanda, Nikhil’s father and father-in-law of Shweta, just passed away. Leaving for India,” read Amitabh’s post.
Rajan Nanda was the chairman of Escorts Group and his son Nikhil Nanda is the managing director of the company. Nikhil and Shweta got married and are blessed with two children Navya and Agasthya. Rajan Nanda has been ill from the past few days and breathed his last yesterday night at the hospital. The sudden tragedy has devastated both Nanda and Bachchan families.

Dattatreya Vakharia (Amitabh Bachchan) is a old man who is in a motive to outlive the longest living man and get the record on his name. To do so, he seems it uninteresting and uninspiring to live around boring, sad and somber people like his own son Babulal Vakharia (Rishi Kapoor) who is 75 years old. To get rid of those negative and boring moments Dattatreya Vakharia decides to send his son to an old age home. But Babulal Vakharia is unfit to adjust in any place than his home and he gets challenged to be in his home. How he is back in his home? Is the motive of Dattatreya Vakharia fulfilled?
Cast and Performance
Amitabh Bachchan, as Dattatreya Vakharia is fantabulous. He is so funny and also emotional when time comes. He carried the shades and emotions of his role so effortlessly that we find it very difficult to imagine some other actor in the role. Rishi Kapoor as Babulal is more of a serious kind of and he too is superb in his role. The father-son duo has worked out very well. All other actors performed according to their given roles.

Songs composed by Salim-Sulaiman are good to hear. The background score of this movie is much effective and it elevated the emotions well. 102 Not Out is a film that happens between generations i.e. father and a son. What happens when a father who is as young as a kid in mind meet a son who is full of outdated and conservative mindset. Director Umesh Shukla who is inspired by a play written by Saumya Joshi focussed more on entertainment and emotions. He had not opted for some out of the box moments or unique ideas to carry the emotion rather he just stick to the same old way of portraying emotions and he succeeded well to a good extent having two of the best actors to play the two most important characters. He handled the first half too good and he loses his touch in the second half where it slows down to some extent and also the scenes/dialogues become preachy. Umesh Shukla opted to make audience connect to the emotion and also he made sure that the scenes offer humor. The best thing about the movie is entertainment it offers with ever young Amitabh Bachchan and serious actor Rishi Kapoor. To sum up, 102 not out is what it’s trailer offers which is more entertainment and much more emotions which also carry subtle meanings.
Even after 27 years the legendary duo have created magic and cast a spell on Bollywood and critics alike with their incredible acting talent and camaraderie. Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor’s 102 Not Out has been garnering a fantastic response from the Bollywood Industry!

The makers roped in a local taxi driver who was to perform for a scene alongside the legend himself. He, in no time developed cold feet and it was Mr. Bachchan who calmed him down and prepared him for the shot.
A source close to the development said, “The humble and considerate person that he is, Amitabhji calmed the taxi driver down and told him about his own days of struggle. The actor shared memories of his initial days, when he used to travel by taxis. The conversation cheered up the driver and the shot was okayed in one take.”

Big B said that he is honoured to work with Chiranjeevi in ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’. And he also shared two pics via his Twitter handle.
It is heard that Chiru send his Royal Royce Car to BIG B to use from his hotel to sets for two days. It is also learnt that Tollywood actors flock down to Syeeraa sets to have a pic with Big B, but the personal security guards are not allowing anyone to visit him.
A source close to unit said that Powerstar along with his family met Big B on Syeeraa sets recently.
102 Not Out will see Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor sharing screen space after a gap of 27 years. In the film, Mr. Bachchan will be seen playing Rishi Kapoor’s father. Considering the fact that both the actors have to play their character more than their actual age, a lot of prosthetics and make up was used to make them look like their character’s age.

Director Umesh Shukla states that, it would take his ageing protagonists a staggering seven hours for make-up every day. This would be followed by six hours of shooting. He says, “Initially, I thought they would get irritated with the long-winded process but the make-up actually helped them emote and complemented their characters really well. Both Amitabh sir and Rishi ji would walk onto the sets at 5 am with a different kind of energy and we would commence shooting after lunch and go on till 6 pm. At times, the shoot extended to 9 pm. But that mostly happened when we were in the midst of shooting a scene and wanted to can it in one shift for the sake of continuity,” says Umesh adding that the film’s team shot for nine nights in the 45-day schedule in Mumbai.
He further adds that while Bachchan’s dentures were manageable, Kapoor’s bald cap was a cause of concern. “Rishi ji, who plays a 70-year-old character, would feel extremely hot in it. Whenever he removed it, and I am not exaggerating, it looked like he was sweating by the glass. He had to wear that cap for at least 12 hours every day,” he revealed.
The film has been written by Saumya Joshi (director of the eponymous Gujarati play on which the film is based) and directed by Umesh Shukla.
