Akkineni Nagarjuna is happily married to actress Amala but do you know that another actress had received the proposal before Amala?

Nagarjuna’s father and late legendary actor Nageswara Rao is well known for his romantic acts. He never shied away from playing pranks with his co-stars, off-screen. Yesteryear heroine Sumalatha, in one of her recent interviews, revealed that Nageswara Rao asked her to marry his son, Nagarjuna.

Sumalatha said, ‘On a fine day when I was shooting, Nageswara Rao sir came to me and said that he had selected a perfect guy for me who will soon come from Foreign. He even assured to talk with my parents if I agree. When I questioned, who that man was, he said it was his son, Nagarjuna, who was yet to become an actor then’.

Sumalatha, however, didn’t say if she had accepted the proposal or not.

Akkineni Nagarjuna’s ongoing devotional film ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’s logo has been disclosed to the public yesterday in a grand manner. The director of the film, K Raghavendra Rao himself shared the logo video on his Facebook page. Soon after the launch, it has gone viral on social media and everyone started sharing it. S Gopal Reddy is taking care of the cinematography department for the ​devotional flick.

The primary shot of the film was filmed on the hero Nagarjuna. The film is based on the story of Hathi Ram Baba. The film shoot is currently progressing on hero Nagarjuna in a uniquely collected set in Annapurna Studios. Anushka Shetty, Vimala Raman, Pavani Gangi Reddy, Saurabh Jain will be seen in important roles of the film. Keeravani scored the music.

King Nagarjuna’s latest devotional venture, Om Namo Venkatesaya had its launch couple of days ago. The film will be made in the direction of K Raghavendra Rao. The film will be having the regular shoot commencing from July 2nd at Annapurna Studios in a specially erected Tirupathi Temple set. The film unit is now getting warnings from Hathiram Mutt based in Tirupathi. The Mutt organizers have apparently unhappy with the way the makers are making the film. Their major allegation is that the makers did not take permission from the Mutt.

Raghavendra Rao, who is also a TTD Board member, is likely to meet the Mutt organizers very soon and resolve the issues. Surabh Jain, Vimala Raman and Pavani Gangireddy and Anushka Shetty will be seen in important roles of the film. MM Keeravani is the music director. A Mahesh Reddy is the film’s producer.

Akkineni Nagarjuna is a happy father now. Going by the reports from the film Nagar, Nagarjuna apparently approved the marriage of Naga Chaitanya with Samantha. We already knew that Naga Chaitanya is in a relationship with Samantha and even Akhil is also in a relationship with a girl. Of late, there have been so many rumors about the relationship of both in the media, but no one has confirmed it. Talking to a leading news daily, Nagarjuna confirms that both his sons are in relation and also revealed that he would be making an official announcement soon.

“Amala and I are very happy for Chaitanya, who has found someone who makes him happy. We’ll be making the announcement soon. Akhil too is seeing a girl. But contrary to rumors, they are not engaged as yet.” revealed Akkineni Nagarjuna to a leading news daily.

Nagarjuna Akkineni himself revealed that his elder son Naga Chaitanya has recently made him cry.

The reason is not “Samantha” but his upcoming film ‘Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo’. Speaking at the audio launch event of SSS, Nag said that he wept like a baby after listening to the songs composed by AR Rahman for the film. He added that although all the songs were great, ‘Vellipomake’ song especially brought tears in his eyes as he got connected with the lyrics and mood.

Nag added that he feels a bit professional jealousy with his son as he has worked with AR Rahman twice already whereas he could rope in the master for only one of his film, ‘Rakshakudu.’ However, Nag also feels proud of Chaitanya’s achievement.

Telugu girl Pavani Gangireddy, who was recently seen in Mahesh Babustarrer ‘Brahmotsavam,’ has landed a role in Nagarjuna Akkineni’s devotional film ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya.’

Pavani, who has acted in a couple of Telugu films already, has been roped in by film’s director K Raghavendra Rao to play a pivotal role in the movie already having Anushka Shetty and Vimala Raman in key roles. Pavani expressed her excitement over pocketing a pivotal role in such a prestigious project. Pavani will also be seen next in Srinivas Avasarala’s directorial ‘Jyo Achuthananda’.

Keeravani has already composed four songs for ‘Namo Venkatesaya’, a film based on the life of Hathiram Baba, a true devotee of Lord Venkateswara. Shooting is expected to commence from next month.

After delivering consecutive hits, Akkineni Nagarjuna took a break for two months, and he is back in action mode now.

Nagarjuna is playing a cameo in Srikanth’s son Roshan’s debut film titled ‘Nirmala Convent’. He has finally started shooting for his part in the movie. A song is being canned on Nag in a specially erected set in Hyderabad. In the released working still, Nagarjuna is seen with his grown beard, which he grew for his next devotional movie ‘Namo Venkateshaya.’

Apart from playing a cameo, Nagarjuna is also producing ‘Nirmala Convent’ under Annapoorna Studios. Directed by Naga Koteswara Rao, the film is said to be a youthful romantic entertainer starring child artiste turned leading lady Shreya Sharma as Roshan’s love interest.

The shooting of Nirmala Convent has neared completion. The movie has music by noted musician Koti’s son Roshan.

Akkineni Nagarjuna and veteran director K Raghavendra Rao are all set to team up for another devotional project.

In a career spanning 30 years, Nagarjuna has acted in over 90 films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

On this occasion, Nagarjuna tweeted that he is ready for another 30 years innings. He thanked fans, family and supporters for staying with him all this while however he felt sad as his parents are not alive to cherish this moment.

Senior filmmaker and Darsakendra K Raghavendra Rao is busy with casting process for his upcoming film with Akkineni Nagarjuna. The film is tipped to be a devotional drama where Nagarjuna is seen playing the role of Baba Hathi Ram. Anushka Shetty and Pragya Jaiswal have been roped in to play the key roles of the film, and the new joining to the casting list is Vimala Raman, who was last seen in ‘Chukkalanti Ammayi Chakkanaina Abbayi’ in Tollywood.

Her role has a lot of significance, but the makers did not reveal any details about it. The actress recently came down to Hyderabad to have a narration from the director. Having impressed with the story and her role, she gave a quick nod to be a part of the film. The actress is currently shooting for Malayalam film ‘Oppam’ opposite Mohanlal.

Naga Chaitanya Akkineni is currently busy with the shoot of his upcoming film Premam. The makers are happy with the way the film is shaping up. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is the official remake of Malayalam blockbuster Premam, which had Nivin Pauly, Sai Pallavi, Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian in the lead roles. In Telugu, Shruti Haasan is reprising the role played by Sai Pallavi in the original. Naga Chaitanya plays the lead. After considering many heroines, the makers finally zeroed in Pragya for the role. The pre production work of the film is on full swing. Yalamanchili Sai Baba who produced Sri Rama Rajyam and Intinta Annamayya is going to produce the film. MM Keeravani will score the music. The film will hit the floors soon.

Nag and Raghavendra Rao have earlier made devotional films like ‘Annamayya’, ‘Sri Ramadasu’ and ‘Shirdi Sai’. The first two were highly successful at that time.

We have already reported that Raghavendra Rao will direct Nagarjuna in another devotional movie after ‘Annamayya,’ ‘Sri Ramadasu’ and ‘Shirdi Sai.’ Nag will be seen as a devotee, Hathiram, of Lord Venkateswara. MM Keeravani has been roped into score music for this film.

Raghavendra Rao has the habit of commencing music sittings of his every film in Tirupati. Continuing the trend, he had yesterday started the music sittings with Keeravani and a set of singers.

Raghavendra Rao revealed this news on social media and added that he will soon disclose the details of the launch and regular shooting of the film.

Akkineni Nagarjuna’s latest release ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ is continuing its record-breaking spree at the box office.

The film that was released on 15th January on the eve of Sankranthi festival, has breached the Rs 40 Crore share mark after three weeks of run, thus becoming the highest collected movie among senior heroes’ films. Earlier Balayya Babu’s ‘Legend’ almost touched Rs 40 Crore share mark.

Nagarjuna also broke the records of ‘Manam’ to register the biggest hit of his career. Moreover, after his two sons made their way into Tollywood, Nag breached this record, which was possible only for Sr NTR who did similar feat after his sons landed in Tollywood.

The film is still doing good business in many centres and has good chances of surpassing 45 Crore share mark. Naga Chaitanya and Akhil will have to come up with something special to surpass Nag.
