Well, the news is that Nagarjuna’s partner and buddy Mr Nimmagadda Prasad might participate in the elections, representing YSRCP. In 2014, there have been speculations that Nagarjuna has been trying a seat for his beloved wife Amala Akkineni, who would stand up in Guntur on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party. Actor Nagarjuna has been signing supporting roles for a long time as he has realized that he doesn’t have the market as he used to have in the earlier times. Last year, he acted in films like Officer and Devadas but both of them turned out to be failures at the box office.

Recently, he has signed his next project Manmadhudu 2, which will be directed by Rahul Ravindran. Meanwhile, Nagarjuna also signed Bramhasthra in Hindi, Dhanush’s directorial in Tamil and Marakkar in Malayalam. He already took part in the shoot of Brahmasthra. Dhanush’s directorial project was shelved due to budget issues and now there are rumors riding about his role in Marrakkar.

Though many reports came in saying that Nagarjuna is a part of the huge cast of Marakkar, he is yet to take part in the shoot. meanwhile, director Priyadarshan has been canning the film at a fast pace and Nag’s absence in the shoot is now raising doubts on whether he actually signed the film or not.

‘King’ Nagarjuna has been facing a lot of disappointments lately. After ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ & ‘Oopiri’ he didn’t see any success. Even production-wise, he produced ‘Nirmala Convent’ & ‘Hello’ starring his second son Akhil Akkineni ended up as a failure at the box-office with poor receptions. Even ‘Devadas’ a collaboration with Nani, couldn’t fetch him a success.

After a lot of discussions and contemplation’s, he gave a nod to Rahul Ravindran, who debuted with ‘Chi.La.Sow’, starring Sushanth, his nephew, for a sequel to him one of the evergreen films, ‘Manmadhudu’. The film is tentatively titled as ‘Manmadhudu – 2’, which will be produced under his maiden banner ‘Manam Enterprises’. The film has been under pre-production for a couple of months now. The latest update is that the film will go on to sets in March. The shotting of the first schedule will commence on the 15th of March.

The exciting update is that the film’s director Rahul Ravindran convinced Amala Akkineni to be a part of the project and her addition is going to bring a lot of buzz to the movie. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is struggling hard to deliver a hit. The poor selection of the scripts is damaging his career and the actor realized it so soon. He is now focusing more on the story oriented scripts and is wanting to deliver a big hit.

The actor is currently testing his luck between the romance and action genres. Meanwhile, he is planning to do a film on the lines of ANR’s Devadasu. Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad is planning to cook up a story on the lines of Devadasu and wanted to make it a modern-day Devadasu.

Thenandal Films which was roped in to bankroll this project has been facing some financial issues. The production house wanted to do a 300 crore budget movie ‘Sangamithra’ but the project got shelved because of their budget issues. The same happened with ‘Rudra’ movie as well. As Dhanush can’t look for another producer and kickstart the project he has temporarily kept the project on hold.

We have to wait and see when the shooting of this project is going to go on sets. Nag who haven’t appeared in Kollywood movies lately wanted to make a comeback with this film. But it seems like his dreams fell apart.

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi became well-known among the Tollywood audience after Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Raktha Charitra’ franchise.
