We all know that Tollywood is more of a star centric. Though we are coming out of that zone, still star hero is worshipped like a demigod in Telugu states. Here we have more than 6 star heroes who are ruling the roost in Tollywood. Have a look at how they will be spending this year in their career’s perspective.

Chiranjeevi:

Mega Star Chiranjeevi made a thumping comeback to cinema after more than a decade. However, he doesn’t want to go that roaring comeback go waste by and we all know that he is playing the role of first freedom fighter we know Uyyalawada Narasimhareddy in the movie Sye Raa. The film is slated for release in second half of 2019. After that Chiru will be doing a social subject in the direction of Koratala Shiva. There are projects with Trivikram Srinivas and Boyapati Srinu in pipe line which might take more than a year to materialise.

Ram Charan, NTR :

Two scions from different families are coming all together for the biggest multistarrer in the history of Tollywood and ace director Rajamouli is making all that happen. However, it will take more than year and half to complete. Both these stars will commit for their next movies only after the completion of Rajamouli’s film as there cannot be any time limit for the maverick director’s vision and taking.

Mahesh Babu :

Super star is known for his knack of picking up interesting subjects. However, after the completion of his current movie Maharshi, Mahesh has a movie commitment with Sukumar. Recently that was shelved citing creative differences as reason. Sources are that Mahesh will team up with successful director Anil Ravipudi.

Prabhas:

Young Rebel Star Prabhas has gone into his own league with Baahubali series and with the intention to carry forward the momentum he is doing yet another mammoth film Saaho. By looking at the making videos it can be sure that Saaho is no less than Baahubali. Prabhas on the other hand is also doing a love story in the direction of Jil fame Radha Krishna Kumar.

Allu Arjun :

Stylish Star has recent tasted bitter result of Naa Peru Surya. He has taken a year break after that and is now fresh and cool as ever. so he is in no mood to waste time and setting up interesting projects. His movie with Trivikram Srinivas is ready to take off and Allu Arjun is set to team up with Sukumar after that. Both the projects will be third collaboration for Stylish Star with the directors respectively.

Pawan Kalyan

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is busy with the politics and his party Janasena. As of now he is no plans to do a movie. He might act after 2019 elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Nandamuri Balakrishna has been silent for the last movies and is raring to roar as loud as ever. He is teaming up with Boyapati Srinu just for that and this project will take off after June. Victory Venkatesh has Venky Mama in hand. Nagarjuna is contemplating to start Manmadhudu 2, Bangarraju respectively.

It’s been a great year for 2018 where many heroes have proved their mark and a few heroes also threw surprises but what’s so interesting is a few heroes who have not shined on the silver screen this year. The following is the names of the Telugu heroes who could not meet the audiences in the theatres for the year 2018.

Prabhas:

Young Rebel Star Prabhas has his hands full with work but he just could not make it to the screens this year because of the span of his next film Saaho. Straight after Baahubali, Prabhas joined Saaho shoot which started off with delays. Later, he started his 20th film in the direction of Radha Krishna Kumar too. Saaho will release on August 15th, next year.

Venkatesh:

Victory Venkatesh is one of the star heroes of the Telugu film industry who has been working round the clock for treating the audiences with good cinema. After Guru, he did not sign any film as no movie has impressed him. He is now gearing up for the release of the film Fun & Frustration for Sankranthi next year. He also has a film Venky Mama with Naga Chaitanya.

Rana Daggubati:

The versatile star is also busy with work every time but he just could not make it to the screens because of several reasons. Though he scored success as a solo hero with Nene Raju Nene Mantri, his focus on multi-lingual movies made him away from the theatres this year. He is busy with Housefull 4 and a couple of tri-lingual projects.

Akhil Akkineni:

After the debacles like Akhil and Hello, Akhil could not know whom to team up with. Half of the year, he has spent time searching for the right script and the other half, he was busy shooting for the film Mr. Majnu which will release next year. Akhil is confident that the film will become a big hit.

Rajasekhar:

The senior hero of the film industry who is full of form in the second innings failed to make use of the success of the movie Garuda Vega. He is now betting high on his next film Kalki, directed by Prashant Varma.

Keeping the story and the lead actor aside, even heroine also plays a key role in the outcome of a film. That is the reason why the filmmakers won’t do mistakes while selecting the female leads of the movie. When it comes to the Tollywood star heroes if the director feels that a particular heroine suits that movie, then they will even postpone the shoot till they get her dates.

Also, the first thing the audience tend to know about a movie is about the hero and heroines. The heroine is selected based on the story and the hero. Sometimes, a glamorous heroine is required for a movie and also the chemistry between the hero-heroines should work out well. Even when talking about the combinations, after the director and hero, one will always talk about the hero and heroines.

Now, some star filmmakers in Tollywood are hunting for some beautiful female leads in their movies. From Chiranjeevi to Ravi Teja including NTR, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Vijay Deverakonda and Allu Arjun, all are currently in search of the leading ladies.

Sometimes, based on the story ,the makers will take two or three heroines for a movie. Vijay Devarakonda and Kranthi Madhav’s project also needs 3 heroines. Even senior hero Rajasekhar also has 3 heroines in his upcoming movie with Prashanth Varma of ‘Awe’ fame. As per the latest reports, even Rajamouli’s upcoming multistarrer with Ram Charan and NTR, ‘RRR’ also need 3 heroines. It is already known that on the 11th day of the 11th month and exactly at 11 AM, the makers are going to launch this film. The expectations are high on this film whereas everyone is eager to know about the heroines of this movie.

On the other hand, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja signed a project with ‘Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada’ fame VI Anand. This movie also needs three heroines. Nabha Natesh and ‘RX100’ beauty Payal Rajput are already roped in as the female leads and the third heroine is yet to be finalized. Even Allu Arjun finally signed a project with Trivikram. Before taking the shooting on sets, the makers are currently searching for a heroine to romance Bunny. Rumours are rife that ‘Bharath Ane Nenu’ beauty Kiara Advani is going to share the screen space with the Stylish Star. But the official announcement is yet to be made.

As soon as Chiru wraps up his ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’, he is going to focus more on his 152nd movie directed by Koratala Siva. The movie unit has already started searching for a female lead. On the other hand, Mahesh Babu also signed to do a movie under the direction of Sukumar. If the buzz is to be believed, then the makers have narrated the script to a new young heroine and the details about her are yet to be known.

In fact, there is a shortage of heroines in Tollywood. Most of the star heroines give priority to the performance-oriented roles whereas the senior heroines are also being careful about the scripts. So, the makers are taking so much time to select the female leads. Let’s wait and see who is going to romance these heroes soon.

After Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has set a deadline of one day for Movie Artiste’s Association (MAA), over sensational remarks against his mother, a meeting was held in this regard at Annapurna film studios.

Tollywood actors Mahesh Babu, Ram, Nani, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Chiranjeevi, Naga Chaitanya, Varun Tej, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, Naga Babu and others attended the meeting.

As per reports, over 74 Telugu cinema prominent personalities have attended the meeting. The outcome of the meeting is remain secret. A few bigwigs of Telugu cinema met Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav.

It is learned that few junior artists were denied entry into the meeting. And as per sources, it is learnt that nothing has been finalized, the cinema prominent personalities decided to meet one more time and they may reportedly reveal few things about the upcoming meeting.

Allu Arjun’s Na Peru Surya makers announced that they will release the film in April and Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu makers also came up with the announcement that their movie will release on the same day. In the middle of this, Rajinikanth’s 2PointO makers have now announced that the film is releasing in April.

Reacting to this, Mahesh’s producers stated, “Tollywood has always respected and embraced other language cinema. But a bigger project like Robo 2.0 changing their release dates has caused confusion among producers. All the Telugu movie producers who are releasing in the months of April and May are in discussions to avoid any competition among ourselves. However, this sudden announcement by ROBO 2 team to release in the month of April has left all the Telugu releases to further confusion. At this juncture, we request the trade bodies to take a conscious call and arrive at an amicable solution.”

Reacting to the same, Bunny Vas, the co-producer of Na Peru Surya stated, “@lyka productions (robo 2.0)….. we respect ur movie but ur changing of release dates is affecting regional movies’ release dates a lot ….me (naa peru surya naa ellu india) and dhanaya garu (bharath anu nenu) are in talks for an understanding ….i will take this issue to the producer’s council and exhibitor associations AP & Telangana …we stand for our date commitment …maybe this will be helpful for regional movie releases in future also. Today, Producer Council meeting is happening for an UNDERSTANDING on January RELEASES….it would be very nice, if the council brings same understanding between all producers who planned for April 2017 releases.,”

We need to wait few more days to get a clarity about the releases of the three films. Hollywood movie Avenger: Infinity War is also releasing around the same time in India.

There is a lot of interesting buzz regarding Telugu heroes making plans to expand their business. Already many top heroes have initiated the plans, the other heroes are now going Kollywood way with the inspiration of this star heroes. As per the latest buzz in the film nagar, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu have already entered this journey and Allu Arjun will be soon in a bilingual very soon. After Sukumar’s film, Ram Charan will also be seen in a film which will be made as a bilingual.

At the same time, the young heroes are also planning few interesting films. Already Naga Shaurya signed a bilingual and now Raj Tarun will be seen in the direction of a filmmaker who made Bichchagadu in the past. Apart from this, Nikhil is also going to be seen in the remake of the film Kanithan.

Top music composer Mani Sharma has made some interesting comments in a recent interview. The music composer is currently scoring music for back to back projects. The music director is currently gearing up for the grand audio launch of the film Fashion Designer S/O Ladies Tailor. At the same time, his film Amee Tumee is also getting ready for a grand release.

Meanwhile, Mani Sharma opened up about the Telugu stars in the film industry. The music director has revealed his opinion on Telugu heroes right now. “Few heroes wanted mass tunes while a few always wanted class music for their films. It is difficult to compose the music in such case. This is a reason for me not able to give good music to the films like Theenmaar, Shakthi and Khaleja in the recent times.” said Mani Sharma.​

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) has announced the second edition of the Fortune Sunflower Oil IIFA Utsavam to honor and recognize the best of South India’s film industry. The IIFA Utsavam Weekend and Awards will be held on 28, 29 March respectively, at HlCC, Hyderabad.

IIFA Utsavam 2017 celebrations will air exclusively on broadcast partner Sun Network. Haritha Haram campaign the two-week long programme of planting saplings was launched on Friday by state Chief Minister in Gundrampalli near Chityal in Nalgonda district. This latest week-long program of Haritha Haram of planting lakhs of saplings across the state has received a huge response from Telugu people and celebrities in Hyderabad. Tollywood Actors and Celebrities are lining up to take part in the second phase of ‘Telanganaku Haritha Haram’ campaign.

Today, the entire Mega family took part in the afforestation programme in Hyderabad, starting from Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja to Allu Arjun, who lauded the efforts of KCR in this regard. He will be leaving on a vacation for fifteen days with family and will be back to join the shoot of AR Muragadoss project.

After doing an action entertainer ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’, power star Pawan Kalyan will be doing a love story in the backdrop of faction. The project was launched yesterday in the direction of SJ Suryah.

Post the completion of ‘Thani Oruvan’ Telugu remake, Ram Charan will do a different love story in the direction of intelligent Sukumar. Innovative love story will be the highlight of this film.

After scoring a mass hit with recent ‘Sarrainodu’, Allu Arjun is gearing up to do a variety love story in the direction of Tamil director Linguswamy.

Varun Tej’s next film ‘Mister’ in the direction of Sreenu Vaitla is also said to be a love story cum comedy.

Prabhas and Akhil are also doing love stories in the direction of Sujeeth and Vamsi Paidipally respectively.

Manchu family members always make sure that they are in headlines every time their film is up for release. Though speak out of heart, several times they land themselves into unnecessary controversies. During the promotions of his recent film Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam, Manchu Vishnu who interacted with media and gave interviews made a statement on multi-starrers and the way Tollywood actors see it. He revealed the benefits of acting in a multistarrer from his perspective.

Talking about the same, Manchu Vishnu said that top actors keeping their image aside come forward for the multi starer films which actually helps their market growth. “In our film industry, we are still lying in the well like a frog, but I am always ready to act with anybody no matter of what duration is my role. I have that confidence, and I see it lacking in most of the heroes.” Vishnu added. Also, Vishnu revealed another surprising fact that no hero was interested to act alongside him in the film, but it is Raj Tarun who instantly agreed when they approached him after watching Cinema Chupistha Mawa.

The film Edo Rakam Ado Rakam hit theatres today and opened with a hit talk in almost all the areas. Sonarika and Hebah Patel played the female leads in the film.

The most sought-after actors of Tollywood celebrated Sankranthi this year with their family members. Almost everyone took time from their busy schedules for the family members.

Many of our Tollywood actors have the connection with Chennai as some of them spent their childhood there.
