Daggubati hero Rana is currently having a great time shooting for his ongoing film in the direction of Teja. The actor is currently very much happy with the way the things are progressing up regarding the film. The film is tentatively titled as Nene Raju Nene Mantri. The film stars Rana and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. The film also has Catherine Tresa playing the female lead role in the film. The film unit is currently shooting the film in Ananthapur. Already key portions of the film have been completed some time back and the makers are now shooting the new schedule of the film.

The yet to be titled film stars Rana in the lead role and Kajal in the female lead. Catherine Tresa is also a part of the film’s casting. Sensational director Teja is directing the flick. The film is special for everyone associated with the project. For the first time, Suresh productions is doing film with Rana and Teja is directing established stars after a long time. After debut, Kajal is back in the direction of Teja.

Actress Catherine Tresa, who has recently impressed the mass audiences with her hot avatar as an MLA in Allu Arjun’s blockbuster film ‘Sarrainodu,’, has been roped into romance Rana Daggubati in his new film to be directed by Teja.

This project has been in the news for quite some time. Kajal Aggarwal was earlier roped into romance Rana, and now Catherine came on board to play the second lead actress. As Rana was impressed with the story narrated by Teja, he immediately gave his nod to the project, which is currently in pre-production stage. This is Kajal’s second film with Teja. She made her Tollywood debut with Teja directorial, Lakshmi Kalyanam.

After ‘Sarrainodu’s success, offers are raining for Catherine. Apart from this film, she has also signed to romance Gopichand in Sampath Nandi’s new film. The hottie hopes to make a niche for herself in Tollywood.

Director Teja introduced so many actors and technicians in the film industry of those some of them have reached to the top position. Kajal Aggarwal is one such actress in the industry. Tollywood director Teja, who is not new to controversies, has hit headlines once again after a criminal case has been filed against him.

A timber businessman named Krishna Rao, a resident of Film Nagar, has filed a case against Teja in Banjara Hills police station alleging that he has a threat from Teja, Vaddera Sathyam and Kaisar Gang. He alleged that including the gang, Teja has also called him and threatened him regarding the issue of a house.

It may be noted that Teja and Krishna Rao are at loggerheads over this house issue. The case is pending in the High Court. Krishna Rao alleged that Teja has called him few days ago to threaten him to settle the issue.

After receiving the complaint, police have registered a case against Teja under IPC section 506.

Director Teja was hailed as one of the most influential directors after he delivered path-breaking films like ‘Chithram’ and ‘Nuvvu Nenu’.

However, he went into oblivion after delivering a string of disaster movies as continued to churn out the same story again and again just by casting newcomers. With lackluster small budget films, he failed to bag a success in a decade now.

But, Teja has now pulled off a huge surprise by bagging a big project. As per the latest reports, Teja has roped in macho Rana Daggubati and beautiful Kajal Aggarwal for his next directorial. Teja has been working on a script for Rana for a long time, and he has been in regular touch with producer Suresh Babu all this while.

Kajal had no qualms to sign the film as Teja the director who introduced her to Tollywood with flop film ‘Lakshmi Kalyanam’. An official announcement will soon be made in this regard.

Veteran actor Rajasekhar, who has been facing the dire situation for the past couple of years with no proper hit, seems to have lost the only movie in his hand.

It has been reported earlier that Rajasekhar will team up with director Teja for a film titled ‘Aham’. He was supposed to play the villain role in the film. But, the latest reports indicate that the duo has parted ways and Teja is now approaching other actors to replace Rajasekhar.

With none of his movies working at the box office, Rajasekhar has taken the bold step of turning a villain. Still, he seems to be not able to pocket film offers. The result of his production venture ‘Gaddam Gang’ has further dented his financial position and he is currently in deep debts.

We have already reported that the veteran actor Dr. Raja Sekhar will turn as a villain for Teja’s next directorial venture Aham. A new hero is going to be introduced with this film and another top actress is going to be paired opposite Rajasekhar in the film. The film will be produced by P Satyanarayana Reddy and his friends under Vaishnavi Entertainments banner.

Rasool Ellore, a longtime associate of Teja, has been roped in as the cinematographer, and Anup Rubens will be scoring the music. Up to here, it is well and good. But when it comes to the music department, this news has came a huge shock to the music director Anup Rubens. Going into details, Teja announced Anup Rubens as the film’s music director. But, he did not approached Anup and never discussed about the remuneration details with him.

After making statements like Mahesh babu’s adoption might only be for reducing tax. Now Teja made a statement that his film with Mahesh in the lead role, ‘Nijam’ flopped at the box office only because of Mahesh.

Teja added that since Mahesh’s previous film to ‘Nijam’, ‘Okkadu’ was a blockbuster and established him as a mass hero, the audience could not digest his innocent act in ‘Nijam’. He went on to say that if he had made the same film with any upcoming actor, the film would have been a blockbuster too.

Teja’s comments have once again angered Mahesh Babu fans. Teja’s recently release movie Hora Hori also failed at box-office.

Hora Hori Movie Review: ‘Hora Horri’ble torture

Just after the second half begins, the song ‘Chachipovalundi ..’ takes off. The song stops after four minutes but that word ‘chachipovalnundi’ remains with you till the very end of the movie. Such is the effect of this latest offering from Teja. It’s common to see a director’s mark in most of the movies a director makes. Hora Hori has something more than the director’s mark. It’s a rubber stamp of his previous film, mostly Jayam. Whether being obsessed with certain kind of love stories is good or bad, is a different topic altogether. But, making an exact replica of whatever he has already made and trying to tell a story generates pure nonsense.

There is non-stop déjà vu in the film reminding us of Jayam and the likes. The ruthless villain is crazy about the heroine. The hero is a coward with a gutsy mother (here, grandmother). A Duvvasi Mohan-like sidekick to the villain, who gives commentary when the villain is bashing the hero black and blue. The heroin almost does a ‘vellavayya vellu’. Not sure, what was the confidence behind making a Jayam replica which itself a mediocre but hyped film.

The story unfolds in Hyderabad in an intriguing manner, where Chenna Kesava Basavaraj, a hardcore influential rowdy murders at busy cross road. From the very first frame, Basavaraj maintains an apt body language. He plays the perfect baddie and is the only saving grace of the film. He was very effective that he almost reminded of Manoj Bajpai. He falls in love with Mythili and she is the sister of a corrupt ACP. Basavaraj is merciless and kills any prospective bridegrooms. Mythili goes into a shock after seeing continuous bloodshed and is sent to Shimoga, Karnataka to recover. Skanda, is a young cowardice in Shimoga who runs a small time printing press. The rest is all about how Skanda and Mythili fall in love, and Basavaraj learning about their love and the 15 minutes fight in the climax. 13 minutes of villain bashing with ‘muscle power’ till the hero’s face is bloody red plus 2 minutes of hitting back in return with ‘love power’.

There are very few portions that are interesting- the opening scene and few scenes where the friendship of Basavaraj and Skanda builds. All the other scenes are either boring, unnecessarily dramatic or ridiculously clichéd. More than the scenes, it’s the characters that this film has, which will annoy you. The most annoying of all was the lady who played the grandmother of Skanda. The scenes which try to create humour hardly work. The leads were hardly attractive with zero charm.

Technically also, there isn’t anything great to talk about. The hyped Kalyan Koduri’s music and background score hardly had an impact. Probably, he was just lowering himself to the film’s standards, i.e to give an equally boring background score as the film.

On the whole, this film is a painful experience to undergo amidst the unbearable treatment of Mr.Teja

Director Teja’s Hora Hori movie is all set for release on Friday (September 11th). Before the release, Teja made sensational comments while speaking at a promotional event of his new movie, Hora Hori. Teja is struggling hard to score a hit film at box-office from past few years, and his last released films were bombed at the box-office. He made a new movie titled “Hora Hori” with all the newcomers.

When a journalist asked the director about his opinion on stars coming forward to adopt villages. Teja said that “all the actors are adopting villages to cash on the loopholes by enjoying Income Tax deductions. I don’t think there is a social purpose.” Recently Mahesh Babu, Prakash Raj, Shruti Hassan, Manchu Vishnu and few others adopted few villages in Telugu states.

Now the question is that Teja made these comments to get the attention of the viewers for the sake of his new releasing movie “Hora Hori” or anything else. Earlier, Teja had faced criticism for his bold act.

Newcomers Dileep and Daksha are in the lead roles, and Kalyani Koduri has scored the music. KL Damodar Prasad produced it under Sri Ranjit movies banner.

If the reports are to go with, director Teja seems to have struck gold with his next film’s casting. None other than Kamal Haasan is likely to star in his next film, confirm some sources. Teja, who is well known for his own brand of films in the past like Jayam, NuvvuNenu and 1000 Abaddalu, recently met Kamal and narrated a story to the Padma Bhushan awardee. Kamal was impressed with the storyline and had given a nod for the project. Needless to say, the film will be a bilingual.

It would be interesting to know what the storyline would be like that has fetched someone like Kamal to say a Yes. Unconventional plots, brave leading ladies and soulful renditions often constitute a Teja directorial.

More details regarding the title, cast and other details are yet to be revealed by the fim crew. If this happens, Kamal Haasan will return to the Telugu marquee after quite a long hiatus. Kamal, who is currently shooting for Uttama Villain in Bangalore, is yet to give his dates to Teja.
