After making a powerhouse film called Mulk, Taapsee Pannu has reunited with director Anubhav Sinha for the film Thappad. The shoot of this film is currently underway and Taapsee is pumped up for this female-oriented project. She said that it is one of these films she is kicked about, from a long time.

The actress was elated when she came to know that Anubhav came on board to direct this film. “I play the role of a married woman in the film and the struggles she faces in her life will be showcased throughout the movie. It is a very hard-hitting concept which was never spoken about, in Hindi Cinema,” she added.

The makers will announce the rest of the details of cast and crew of Thappad very soon. It is slated to release on the 8th of March, 2020, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Psychological thriller Game Over has hit the screens worldwide yesterday. It was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi and got a positive response from all the three circles. Taapsee is being praised for choosing such an intense role. But we hear that she was not the first choice of this film.

Apparently, director Aswin Saravanan initially wanted to make the film with Nayanthara as the lead. Nayan is known for making female-oriented flicks and she has a good market in both Tamil and Telugu. They have also sho the film for a few days until it got halted due to the creative differences. The plot idea of this movie was lifted from a Hollywood flick. Things have turned worse when the original writer sued this film’s makers.

Finally, things git sorted and the team made some major changes in the story. But by that time, Nayan became busy in other projects. Thus, the project eventually has fallen in the hands of Taapsee and the actress has done complete justice to the role.

Taapsee Pannu played the lead role in the film Game Over. The movie released today in both Telugu and Tamil languages. Aswin Saravanan who earlier directed the film Maya is coming up with this movie. Story:

Swapna (Taapsee Pannu) is a video game developer suffering from a phobia of darkness and prefers to stay alone. She stays in a big bungalow with her maid Kala (Vinothini). Adding to the phobia, she is slowly coming out of her post-traumatic stress disorders by attending therapy sessions. But then, her past continues to haunt her and fear increases in her. What is her past? What did Swapna do to overcome it? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.

Director Ashwin Saravanan has written a solid story for this film which can be considered as the major plus point. The director has concentrated only on narrating the story instead of focusing on other unnecessary elements. He has succeeded in engaging the audience and will definitely give us a thrilling ride with his amazing screenplay.

Production values by Y NOT Studios and Reliance Entertainment are lavish. Music by Ron Ethan Yohan is undoubtedly the biggest strength for this film. His captivating BGM made the film even more interesting. Cinematography by A Vasanth is good. Editing by Richard Kevin is clean. Dialogues by Venkat Kacharla is strong. Runtime is crisp. The entire technical team worked hard to give their best for the movie.

Verdict:

Game Over is an intelligent home invasion thriller where the central characters worst fears come true. Not every director become successful in achieving this on the big screen but Ashwin Saravanan pulled it off with his cast. The major plus point of the movie is the film’s lead Taapsee Pannu who is outstanding as the traumatized Video game programmer with many layers to her character. The director is successful in delivering a New high-end thrilling concept which could be an inspiration for more such films to follow in the coming days. The story has different layers that one understands only while they watch it. All in all, Game Over is a well-made movie which deserves a watch! Do not miss it.

Taapsee has already purchased a home in Mumbai and now she wants to buy another home in Goa as she fell in love with the tourist hub.

Taapsee shot for ‘Baby’ in Goa, and she fell in love with the atmosphere of the city. Hence, she has decided to have a home of her own so that she can fly to the place whenever she wants to. She also wants to have a place with beautiful beach view.

Taapsee is said to be looking for Portuguese style houses which are galore in Goa.

Tollywood hunk Rana Daggubati, who is still basking in the glory of his superb performance in ‘Baahubali’,has today begun the shooting of India’s first submarine-based war movie titled ‘Ghazi’.

The film directed by debutant Sankalp, is said to be based on the real incident of the PNS Ghazi submarine which sunk mysteriously during the 1971 war with Pakistan.

Rana tweeted to inform that he began shooting for this film, a Hindi-Telugu bilingual. “Pushing my experimental envelope towards mainstream cinema yet again!! #GHAZI (Hindi-Telugu bi-lingual) begins filming today (sic),” Rana tweeted.

Taapsee Pannu is paired with Rana in this film and she is playing the role of a refugee, it is heard. Rana is playing a Navy commando on board of the submarine.

Tapsee Pannu is one among the busy actress who stars in Bollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood films. The ‘Chashme Baddoor’ actress who recently bagged a super hit with ‘Ganga’ (Kanchana 2 in Tamil) has landed herself in an ad promotion of hair oil.

The 28-year-old Delhi girl will promote ‘Nirmal Coconut Hair Oil’ and is happy about that. Tapsee has a reason behind this happiness; she will be promoting the Nirmal hair oil, and Tapsee’s mother name also happens to be Nirmaljeet Pannu.
