Tollywood hunk Rana Daggubati, who is still basking in the glory of his superb performance in ‘Baahubali’,has today begun the shooting of India’s first submarine-based war movie titled ‘Ghazi’.
The film directed by debutant Sankalp, is said to be based on the real incident of the PNS Ghazi submarine which sunk mysteriously during the 1971 war with Pakistan.
Rana tweeted to inform that he began shooting for this film, a Hindi-Telugu bilingual. “Pushing my experimental envelope towards mainstream cinema yet again!! #GHAZI (Hindi-Telugu bi-lingual) begins filming today (sic),” Rana tweeted.
Taapsee Pannu is paired with Rana in this film and she is playing the role of a refugee, it is heard. Rana is playing a Navy commando on board of the submarine.
