Young Telugu actress Sri Divya has the other day stunned everyone when she arrived in her posh BMW car for a press conference held in Hyderabad.

Even though she hasn’t tasted much success in the Telugu film industry, the good looking Telugu girl has reportedly bought this posh car with her hard earned money with a successful career in Tamil film industry.

After making her silver screen debut as heroine with Ravi Babu’s Manasara in 2010, Sri Divya acted in only a few films including Maruthi’s Bus Stop and Mallela Theeram Lo Sirimalle Puvvu. The child artiste-turned-heroine soon shifted her base to Kollywood and became quite a popular actress among mid-range heroines.

Her two big releases, each opposite Karthi and Jiiva, are now ready for release. She is reportedly so busy with Tamil films that she didn’t even dub for her role in the Telugu version of Kashmora.

Telugu girl Sri Divya, who is making waves in Kollywood, has found herself an admirer in the form of Siddharth.

After making his debut as a music director with Malayalam film ‘Kurukshethram’, Siddharth Vipin went on to score music for many Tamil films. The good looking musician took the next step of turning an actor and played crucial roles in few movies. More than for his music and acting, he stays in the news for his alleged closeness with actresses.

After Aishwarya Rajesh, Nandita and Srushti Dange, now Siddharth’s name is linked with Sri Divya. Speaking to media ahead of the release of ‘Jackson Durai,’ Siddharth said that he loves Sri Divya. However, he soon corrected his statement by saying he loves her in a movie in which the duo is acting.

The duo is acting in Karthi’s upcoming film ‘Kashmora’.

Telugu speaking heroines are very less in our Tollywood film industry. Though Tollywood offers lot of opportunities for the heroines hailing from other states, the industry fail to search and recognize the local talents. Few heroines who fail to get proper offers have been to Tamil and became successful. They emerged as top heroines too. Telugu girls like Anjali, Swathi, Bindu Madhavi and Sri Divya made a name for themselves in Tamil cinema.

In fact, Anjali was recognized by Tollywood only after her success in Kollywood. The same is the case with the bubbly girl Sri Divya. She has worked in Telugu films like Bus Stop, Mallela Teeramlo Sirimalle Puvvu, and Kerintha but she is running out of offers in Telugu. Her latest Tamil film Marudhu’s dubbed version Rayudu released today. She is in Hyderabad for the film promotions. When asked about not seen in Telugu films, she said that she was not getting proper offers in Telugu and getting good challenging roles in Tamil. Hope with the success of Rayudu, she gets more opportunities in Telugu.

Telugu girl Sri Divya, who won praise from every corner by contributing Rs 10 lakh for the CM Relief Fund during the Tamil Nadu floods, has yet again hit headlines with another kind gesture.

The ‘Bus Stop’ heroine has donated Rs 80,000 for building toilets in Rajapalayam village. 10 toilets will be built in the village with her donation.

In fact, Tamil actor Vishal began the project of construction of toilets in Rajapalayam and surrounding villages upon witnessing the hardships faced by locals. The shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Marudhu’ happened in this area only.

Upon finding out about Vishal’s good cause, Sri Divya came forward to do her bit. No wonder Sri Divya is loved and encouraged by Tamil audiences while Telugu filmmakers deserted her.

Divya, who made her Tollywood entry as a child artist, first appeared in Mahesh Babu’s ‘Yuvaraju.’ She later on became a heroine with Ravi Babu’s ‘Masara.’ ‘Mallela Theeram Lo Sirimalle Puvvu’, ‘Bus Stop’ were other films that brought her recognition in Telugu.

Though, Sri Divya is a Telugu heroine she has earned much name in Tamil than Telugu. After giving an impressive entry with ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam’ in Tamil, she went to do films like Jeeva Jenny, Vellaikaara Durai and Kaaki Satta, by so she has been listed among the prominent heroines in Tamil Cinema.

Currently, Sri Divya is shooting for ‘Kashmora’ starring Karthi and Nayantara. Gokul is directing this film. Even before this film completed its filming, she agreed to another film opposite Vishal. The film is titled as ‘Marudu’ directed by Muttiah who recently directed Vishal’s ‘Komban.’

Interestingly, Vishal’s Nadigar Sangam election competitor Radha Ravi is playing an important cameo in ‘Marudu.’

Despite Telugu actress Sri Divya is not a big name in Telugu states, she is a noted actress in Tamil cinema. After sizable decent hits in Tamil, she has her kitty full with upcoming films. She is the busy actress in Kollywood rather Tollywood.

With a strong image of homely actress, so far she has been the front-runner to bag the lead actress roles in movies starring medium range heroes . But it seems that she has found a tough competitor now, in the form of beautiful Malayalam actress Keerthi Suresh.

Keerthi is fast growing as a talented performer and charming actress. As per sources, the homely roles that were supposed to fall in Sri Divya’s hands are now going to Keerthi Suresh’s door.

With this, Sri Divya is heard to have decided to increase glamour dosage and concentrate on commercial cinema.

Telugu girl Sri Divya, who failed to make it big in Tollywood, has shifted her focus to Tamil and has scored good marks with solid hits. As per reports, she is the primary choice for small budget movies and upcoming heroes’ films. While she has already established herself as a bankable actress with good fan following, she is a bit tensed about her two unreleased films.

Sri Divya has played lead roles in Music director turned hero GV Prakash’s film ‘Pencil’ and Adharva starrer film ‘Eetie’, both were supposed to release long back but it did not happen yet. Sri Divya said that she has worked hard for the roles in those two films and she hopes that her career will take a new turn after the release of those films.
