Telugu speaking heroines are very less in our Tollywood film industry. Though Tollywood offers lot of opportunities for the heroines hailing from other states, the industry fail to search and recognize the local talents. Few heroines who fail to get proper offers have been to Tamil and became successful. They emerged as top heroines too. Telugu girls like Anjali, Swathi, Bindu Madhavi and Sri Divya made a name for themselves in Tamil cinema.
In fact, Anjali was recognized by Tollywood only after her success in Kollywood. The same is the case with the bubbly girl Sri Divya. She has worked in Telugu films like Bus Stop, Mallela Teeramlo Sirimalle Puvvu, and Kerintha but she is running out of offers in Telugu. Her latest Tamil film Marudhu’s dubbed version Rayudu released today. She is in Hyderabad for the film promotions. When asked about not seen in Telugu films, she said that she was not getting proper offers in Telugu and getting good challenging roles in Tamil. Hope with the success of Rayudu, she gets more opportunities in Telugu.
