Ram Gopal Varma’s latest film ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ is still facing a lot of troubles for its release in Andhra Pradesh. RGV announced that the film will be simultaneously releasing in both states, but Election Commission has requested to put the film on hold for the elections.

After elections, RGV planned for a press meet and he couldn’t manage to conduct that event too. After a lot of fighting the film got a release date and now it seems like even that is not possible. Now, the news reveals that the election commission has ordered that the film cannot be released until the 19th of this month as a few places in AP like Chandragiri are going into re-polling. So, looks like the film will only release post the results of the election which will be out on the 23rd of this month.

Ram Gopal Varma’s recent film Lakshmi’s NTR had hit the screens worldwide on March 29th, except in Andhra Pradesh. The High Court of Andhra Pradesh ordered against the release of the film just a day before its release, citing the elections period of the state. It has given instructions to the makers to not release it until further notice.

Now, the elections are over in Andhra and the results will be out on May 23. Thus, there is no political heat in the state, the court has given permission to release the film. Thus, the makers have decided to release it in AP on May 1st. Ram Gopal Varma himself revealed the news.

The AP High Court heard the petition once again yesterday and postponed its decision to April 9th. This now proves that the film will not enter the theatres in AP before the elections which are scheduled to be held on April 11th. It will now release only after the elections are done.

The makers planned to release it before the elections at any cost but at the end, they proved to be unsuccessful. But on a happier side, the film is doing extremely well in Telangana and the overseas market.
