The period stories are slowly getting attention in the Telugu film industry. The new-age filmmakers are competing among themselves in presenting stories that are having a period backdrop. Rangasthalam tells a story that took place in 1980 while Mahanati told the story of Savitri that happened decades ago. Now, Prabhas is also coming up with something along the same lines.

Prabhas’ next movie is confirmed with director Radha Krishna Kumar. The film will be produced under Gopi Krishna Productions headed by Krishnam Raju. The movie is said to be a romantic entertainer that takes place in 1970. Major portions of the film’s shoot will take place in Europe. The shoot will begin from August this year.

Pooja Hegde is the leading lady of the movie. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio will compose the music for the movie.

Rebel Star Prabhas has gained pan India following, with the magnum opus Baahubali. Prabhas is currently busy shooting for the upcoming action thriller movie Saaho.

While Saaho is still in making, there are a number of offers waiting for Prabhas. ‘Jil’ fame Radhakrishna is to direct Prabhas after Saaho. There are a number of stories regarding this project. According to report, ABN Andhra Jyothi MD Radha Krishna is going to file a defamation suit and criminal case on Pawan Kalyan for Rs 10 Crores for making baseless allegations on him and also provoking fans for damaging the media vehicles of his channel.

From yesterday, Pawan Kalyan came up with a series of Tweets making allegations on media barons Radha Krishna and Srini Raju (TV9) in connection with Sri Reddy – RGV issue.

After this situation, high tensions rose at film chamber in Hyderabad as fans of Pawan Kalyan damaged vehicles of several media houses. It is also learnt that Srini Raju will be filing a defamation suit for dragging his name into the imbroglio.

After weeks and months of speculations, it is finally confirmed that Prabhas will be romancing Pooja Hegde in his next film after Sahoo. To be directed by JIL fame director Radha Krishna Kumar and bankrolled by UV Creations, the film is touted to be a period love story.

Pooja Hedge recently revealed that it is a thorough entertainer that she is looking forward to. Talking about how she got the role, Pooja revealed, “The director (Radha Krishna Kumar) and producers (Vamsi Krishna and U Pramod of UV Creations) came to me for the narration. It’s a thorough entertainer.”

She further added, “Prabhas is a sensation not just in India but internationally as well after the magnanimous success of Baahubali. It’s an opportunity to prove myself. Prabhas has done that already, it’s my turn now.”

The shoot will start from next month onwards, and it will hit the screens may be in 2018.

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ is one of biggest releases in this year. The pre-release business was done for over 120 crores because of the hit Pawan-Trivikram combination. But, the movie failed at the box-office and producer faces huge loss with the flick Agnyaathavaasi.

If we go into the reason behind this, Trivikram is often accused of getting inspired from Hollywood movies and lifting the scenes from them.

Now it is heard that Trivikram returned Rs 10 crores to Radha Krishna to save the producers.

Soon Trivikram will direct a new movie with Jr NTR.

It is already reported that Prabhas is gearing up to act in a film in the direction of Radha Krishna of ‘Jil’ fame. The talented director seems to have etched the role of an astrologer for the macho actor. It will be a love story laced with action elements and will go on floors after Prabhas wraps up Sujeeth’s film.

Either UV Creations or Krishnam Raju’s Gopi Krishna Movies banner will take the responsibility of this untitled project. Prabhas has many times said that post-Baahubali, he will be looking for entertainment based subjects and Radha Krishna seems to have impressed Prabhas with a fresh subject. Female lead and other main technicians are yet to be finalized.

​Tollywood macho hero Prabhas, who is currently busy with Baahubali franchise, is all set to entertain the audience in a complete mass and stylish avatar. As per the latest reports, the film will be completely shot aboard on a lavish budget. A source close to the unit said that the makers are currently zeroing in on the locations.

The film will be directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and will be jointly bankrolled by Gopikrishna under UV Creations. Touted to be a love story, the makers have yet to finalize the actress opposite Prabhas. Earlier director Sujeeth was roped to direct Prabhas for this film, now Sujeeth out from this flick and Radha Krishna roped in for this project.

It is heard that the makers are planning to rope in a debutante actress. The film will go on floors, and now the pre-production works are going on in a full swing.

As per the latest buzz, rebel star Prabhas gave his nod to work with director Radha Krishna of ‘Jil’ fame. He also hinted that he will work with him right after the completion of Baahubali 2.

Reportedly Prabhas was well impressed with Radha Krishna for the way he etched the character of hero Gopichand in ‘Jil’. Although Prabhas was supposed to work with Sujeeth Singh of ‘Run Raja Run’ fame after Baahubali 2, things are taking interesting turns, and the project might get delayed for various reasons.

With these developments, Prabhas has decided to go ahead with Radha Krishna. UV Creations is likely to produce the film. Prabhas is currently preparing to start the shooting of Baahubali 2. Recently Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad revealed that Prabhas will not act in Baahubali 3.

Another buzz is also making rounds that Krishnam Raju will direct a new movie with Prabhas titled “Dhanda”.

Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu, who is busy with the shooting of his new movie “Brahmotsavam”, has returned Rs 10 Crore to the producer S Radha Krishna. As per the reports, Mahesh Babu agreed to do a movie with the producer Radha Krishna and he took the advance of Rs 10 crore from the producer, and Trivikram Srinivas will direct this project.

However, now producer Radhakrishna (Chinna Babu) of Harika-Hassine Creations fame backed out of a proposed film in Mahesh Babu-Trivikram Srinivas combo. The reasons for stepping back is not yet known but the Mahesh Babu is now busy with other projects as of now. After Brhmotasavam, Mahesh will do a bilingual project under the direction of AR Murugadoss. So, Mahesh is unable to do the film at this moment, so producer Radhakrishna has taken back the advance from the actor.

So, Mahesh Babu-Trivikram Srinivas combo project will not be happening as of now. The duo worked earlier for the movies Athadu and Khaleja.

Hero Venkatesh will be seen as Radha Krishna in his forthcoming film directed by Maruthi.

Victory Venkatesh has taken very much long time to finalize his next film after his last release ‘Gopala Gopala’. After almost ten months and listening to many scripts from senior and budding directors, Venky has reportedly given green signal to Maruthi.

This young director has erased the ‘Boothu’ tag from him with his latest film ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’, which became a blockbuster. Maruthi was earlier supposed to direct Venky in a film titled ‘Radha’ but the project was shelved then.

This film will be a new story and will be made as a complete family entertainer. Nayaranatara will pair with Venky in this film. Maruthi hopes to continue his success stream with clean films.

The shooting of the movie is going to start soon and it will be released in 2016.
