Four Indian students were arrested in Texas, USA while they were watching Nagarjuna Akkineni, Tamannah and Karthi’s ‘Oopiri’ at a theater.

Apparently, the 4 arrested students were found watching the movie without buying a ticket. They were found by the theater staff who informed the matter to the police. After arresting these students, the local police freed them after imposing a minimal fine.

Apparently, some Indian students often sneak in to watch movies without buying tickets.This arrest has come as a rude shock across Indian students’ community in the US.

Oopiri has become a sensational hit in the US. The drama film has raked in over a million in less than five days and is gearing up to overtake Nagarjuna’s previous record holder Manam ($1.5 million) by its full run.

Beautiful and talented actress Shruti Hassan, who is busy with films in Tollywood, Kollywood and Bollywood, is reportedly unhappy with the success of recently released Telugu-Tamil blockbuster ‘Oopiri’.

Well, for the starters, Shruti Hassan was the first choice to play the leading lady role in the film essayed finally by Tamannah. The much-awaited audio launch of Oopiri, starring Akkineni Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannah Bhatia, had its audio launch yesterday, amidst the fans in Hyderabad. Oopiri is a bilingual movie, which is simultaneously shot in Tamil as Thozha. Young music director Gopi Sunder has composed music for both the versions. The audio of its Tamil version was released by Suriya at a grand event held in Chennai on Feb 26, and its songs have received thumping response from music lovers.

Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Oopiri is an official remake of 2011 French comedy-drama film The Intouchables, which deals with the friendship between a wealthy quadriplegic and his caregiver. Akkineni Nagarjuna is seen playing the rich man, while Karthi appears as his assistant in the movie.

When the audience is looking forward to the audio launch and wondering how it would be, the audio launch was simple, elegant, well organized and truly touching. Hot and happening Anasuya set the stage on fire with her dance performance and Suma managed to spread the laughter as usual with her spontaneity. Here are few highlights from the audio launch:

In the audio launch, Nagarjuna said that Oopiri will be a remarkable film in his career like Shiva, Geetanjali and Annamayya. He admitted that, “I play a paraplegic struck to wheel chair throughout in the flick. Though I am unmovable but my emotions and thoughts always go on run in this lively characterization which is centered on friendship, love and of course entertainment too.” “Director Vamsi wonderfully dealt the subject more with heart. After Shiva, Geethanjali and Annamayya, I am sure Oopiri will be a remarkable film in my career”.

Karthi’s brief yet honest speech evoked huge response from the crowd. Karthi said that he had no reason to say no to this script and said that Oopiri is a wonderful adaptation from the original. Apparently, Kajal Aggarwal and Amala Akkineni were the main attractions at the audio launch, who came to extend their best wishes for the team.

Though Tamannaah missed the audio event due to her hectic shooting schedules of a Tamil film, she made sure to promote her film through Twitter. “Right now I’m shooting for #dharmadurai, will not be able to attend the audio function of #Oopiri ,it’s a film that’s v close to my heart !”, Tamannah tweeted.

But, no trailer was release at the audio launch. However, three song teasers were released and the music by Gopisundar was so fresh. Prasad V Potluri, who is producing Oopiri under the banner of PVP Cinema.

Nagarjuna Akkineni and Karthi are currently acting in a film titled ‘Oopiri’. Nag is playing the role of a paraplegic while Karthi is his caretaker. The movie is the remake of French film ‘The Intouchables’. Makers have recently released the first look.

Recently, the makers have shot a pivotal scene in Paris. In this particular scene, Nag and Karthi were supposed to jump from thousands of metres of height, using a parachute. Despite director Vamsi Paidipally wanted to use dupes, Nag suggested to do the stunt by himself. After seeing the courage of Nag, Karthi has also done the jump, which is heard to be a pivotal scene for the film.

The film directed by Vamsi Paidipally will be releasing in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Tamanna is acting as Karthi’s lover and Nag’s secretary. Anushka is playing the role of Nag’s ex-girlfriend.
