It has been a year since Bollywood diva Sridevi left this world. The actress passed away in Dubai when she went to attend a relative’s marriage. Due to her sudden demise, the film she signed, Kalank, landed in a fix. But finally, Madhuri Dixit replaced Sridevi in it.

It seems that Madhuri felt very emotional when the film was offered to her. She immediately accepted the offer as she thought it would be a tribute to Sridevi to do her role in the film. Thus, Madhuri came on-board and successfully finished the shooting of the project.

Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank is a period drama which has an ensemble of star cast like Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. The shoot of the film is wrapped up and it is gearing up for an April release. It is produced by Karan Johar.

There were a lot of reports regarding the biopic being made on the life of legendary actress Sridevi. Since the time she left us, there were rumors about the project and a few reported that RGV will direct the film but the filmmaker confirmed that he is making no such plans.

It’s almost a year that the legendary actress left all of us and there is this discussion about her biopic again. As per the reports, Boney Kapoor is all set to begin the work on the project. Everyone is not sure about the actress who could possibly play the female lead role in the film.

As per the latest grapevine, Madhuri Dixit is said to be the front-runner to play Srivdei in the biopic. More details on the same are awaited.

While Sridevi’s sudden demise left huge shock in the lives of her family, friends and fans, it also put a pause on 2 States director Abhishek Varman’s next untitled film. Sridevi’s daughter Jahnvi Kapoor took to Instagram to announce that Madhuri Dixit will replace Sridevi in the film.

However, filmmaker Karan Johar took to his twitter to clarify that the Varman directorial, which will star Madhuri in place of the late actress, is not titled as Shidda. He also announced that the film will hit the floors in mid April.

Jahnvi wrote on Instagram that the film was very dear for her mother. “Abhishek Varman’s next film was very close to mom’s heart …Dad, Khushi and I are thankful to Madhuri ji for now being a part of this beautiful film…,” she wrote, sharing a picture of Sridevi and Madhuri.

Bollywood’s dancing diva Madhuri Dixit Nene got emotional and broke down after seeing a performance revolving around Parkinson’s disease on the sets of TV show So You Think You Can Dance Ab India ki Baari.

According to reports, contestants Shampa and Ryan moved everyone with their phenomenal act. The concept of the act was a love story of a girl who has Parkinson’s disease and a boy. They showcased their journey beautifully, leaving everyone emotional.

While speaking to the media, Madhuri said that “Shampa is really talented and the way she showed the effects of Parkinson held our attention. I feel in our society there are so many people who need support from their family who face Parkinson’s. It was a very touching and emotional performance.

However, Madhuri is a judge on the TV show, which is aired on &TV. Choreographers Terence Lewis and Bosco Martis are her fellow judges.

Madhuri Dixit, who is known to be a top actress in Bollywood, got threatened messages from an unknown person. It seems that this person came up with a version like he is a member of the Underworld Don gang. He further mentioned that he is quite close to Chota Rajan gang.

This unknown person is stated to have said that he will kidnap the kids of Madhuri Deekshit if she fails to do what he says. Madhuri consulted Police department for help and they traced out the person behind the scene.

Police officials finally came to a conclusion that the unknown person is a waiter in a hotel in Mumbai. It seems that he just tried to blackmail and get some money from this actress. With the help of Police department, Madhuri kept herself in safe condition. The culprit was taken into custody and his cell phone was seized by the Police department.

‘Dhak Dhak’ girl and the diva who ruled the hearts in the nineties, Madhuri Dixit has been named as the most inspirational female Bollywood Icon. The actress was honoured with this legacy at the third annual Bradford Inspirational Women Awards in UK.

The 46 year old is the first to be honoured with this as part of contribution in Bollywood Cinema. This was a special category announced last year at BIWA 2013 marking the 100 year celebration of Bollywood. The actress, who was delighted with the honour said in her special video message at the event – “Greeting everyone. I wanted to reach out and thank the inspirational Women’s Foundation for choosing me as the most inspirational Female Bollywood Icon of all times. It is indeed a great honour” she said.

Madhuri further expressed her views on the changing times with gender equality. “I’ve been a staunch advocate of women empowerment and I have worked hard throughout my career to advance the cause. It is heartening to see that gender equality is really becoming more of a reality. There is still much more to be done and I’m confident that, by working together, we can empower women worldwide. I would personally like to thank Fatima Patel, Jane Vincent and the Inspirational Women’s foundation for making this possible. Thank you”

The winners of all categories were selected by an unbiased bench of independent panel. Judges Adeeba Malik, Deputy Chief Excecutive of Bradford based charity, David Ward, MP, Bradford East and Susan Jones, HR Director; Freeman Grattan Holdings selected the winners.

The Big Boss this season saw some rollicking moments with stars coming over and gracing the show with Salman Khan. However, the fans were thrilled this weekend when ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl Madhuri Dixit Nene arrived with Salman, dancing to the popular song ‘Didi tera Dewar’ from their blockbuster film, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun.

Madhuri and Salman made the crowd nostalgic with some friendly conversations on stage, with Salman questioning Madhuri about casual stuff going on in her personal life on a lighter note. Madhuri was prompt and witty enough to reply Salman in the same tone that made the audience laugh. When questioned as to what she would do if she was a part of Big Boss house, the timeless bollywood beauty immediately replied that she will not survive there even for dedh (half) minute.

Her co star from upcoming fim, Dedh Ishqiyaan, Huma Qureshi was at Big Boss house, interacting with the inmates as they were thrilled to see Madhuri on screen. When asked as to how they would make the diva shy, the inmates resorted to some funny antics, making Madhuri blush. The best were Kushal showering her with praises of being the best and Andy singing and dancing for her hit song “Chholi ke peeche”
