Well, here is the full story. Lingesh played the role of antagonist in Laxmi Raai’s latest Tamil film ‘Sowkar Pettai’ (Siva Ganga in Telugu). During the shooting of an action sequence, Lingesh had to get physical with Laxmi Raai. The actors took four retakes to finish that scene.

Lingesh was very scared that Laxmi Raai would have hurt, so he went near her to apologize. However, Laxmi was quite sportive, and she consoled him by saying that it was all part of acting and no need to worry. Lingesh was very much relieved and impressed with the hottie.

The film also has Srikanth and Suman playing key roles. Lingesh played the role of Suman’s son in the film.

Popular South Actress, Heroine Lakshmi Rai has undergone a leg surgery in Mumbai. She who was admitted to a private hospital due to severe leg ache was later on sent Mumbai and was conducted a nerve operation.

Lakshmi, who was extensively shooting for a song in Hyderabad, all of a sudden, met with some serious leg pain. Watching her condition, the film unit took her and admitted to a private hospital. After undergoing several tests, doctors declared that her leg nerves are damaged and shall be operated.

Later on, she was sent to Mumbai and was admitted to a private hospital. There, the doctors operated on her and recommended for some good bed rest.

She who is slowly recovering, said that she is currently shooting for ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Juilet,’ while shooting for a song in Hyderabad, she met with severe leg pains and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and is recovering well, she said.

Yes, the gorgeous actress feels that the shuffling of the words makes a strong enough statement and now makes up for the ‘punch’, she feels, the previous name lacked! Apparently, she also feels that the name Lakshmi sounded too soft for her personality and now that she’s doing more action roles, the change had to be made.

‘Raai’ also says people never called her Lakshmi anyway – it always used to be either Rai or Laksmi Rai – and so, even her father had been suggesting that she choose a name more suited to her real self.

The starlet admits that she had been meaning to do it for over a year now, but couldn’t because of prior commitments and she couldn’t get it done when she was younger, because her family moved around a lot and school documentation and official names became an issue.

Whatever the case, from now onwards, she is to be credited in her films as Raai Lakshmi – and by the way, the extra ‘a’ in the first name is just for that added ‘oomph’!
