Director Harish Shankar is shooting continuously for his upcoming film Valmiki. As there are just about 45 days left for the release, Harish is setting up continuous schedules and trying to wrap up the shooting part as soon as possible. A new entrant has joined the sets the other day.

She is none other than star heroine Pooja Hegde, who is playing a key role in the film. Pooja joined the shoot yesterday and Harish posted a backside picture on Twitter and tweeted, “Guys See whose on Board ..” Immediately Pooja replied, “I wonderrr….. ”

Pooja Hegde will be seen in a flashback episode as the love interest of hero Varun Tej. This is the second time Pooja is working with Harish Shankar, after DJ. Valmiki also stars Atharva Murali in the other lead role. Produced by 14 Reels Plus LLP, this movie is slated for the release on September 13.

After a long gap of two years, director Harish Shankar is coming up with his new film, Valmiki. This film is an official remake of Tamil gangster comedy, Jigarthanda. Varun Tej plays the lead role in it while Pooja Hegde will be seen in an extended cameo. Tamil actor Atharva Murali is making his Telugu debut with this film.

This morning, it was officially announced that the movie will hit the screens worldwide on September 6. Currently, almost half of the shoot has been wrapped up and by the mid-August, the whole shoot will be finished. The movie is being bankrolled by 14 Reels Plus LLP.

Varun tej will be seen as a dreaded gangster in the film and his role will be contrary to what he has done in his last film, F2. The pre-teaser of the movie will be out soon as well. Mickey J Meyer is composing the music of the film and Ayananka Bose is handling the camera.

Earlier we have said that Devi Sri Prasad walks out of four projects recently and to everyone’s surprise, ‘Valmiki’ is one of them. He and Harish Shankar has collaborated for two film ‘Gabbar Singh’ and ‘DJ’, and Devi walking away came as a shock to everyone.

Harish and Devi Sri Prasad are good friends and have a very good rappo between them. Devi Sri Prasad was immediately roped-in after the ‘Valmiki’ was confirmed, by Harish Shankar. Him leaving the project has raised some speculations about the relation between them. It is heard that Harish and Devi were having an argument regarding the remake of Chiranjeevi song, while Devi strongly opposed and refused to do it. They tried to talk it out but the compromise didn’t happen. Hence they stated the riff as creative differences and parted their ways. Mickey J. Meyer was roped in to compose the music.

Director Harish Shankar announced a few days back that he would be directing his next flick with Varun Tej as the lead. Even he titled the film as Valmiki. It is being produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta. The film is an official remake of 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda.

Apart from Varun Tej, there will also be another lead in the film. In the original version, Siddharth and Bobby Simha played the lead roles. In this remake, Varun will be reprising the role of Bobby and Harish is trying to find the perfect choice for another role since a long time.

Earlier, it was reported that he might go for heroes like Naga Shourya or Sree Vishnu. But according to the latest buzz, it seems that the Gabbar Singh director has finally roped in Tamil actor Atharvaa Murali as another lead. Atharvaa is a well-established actor in Kollywood and if he signs the film, it would mark his debut in Tollywood. The film is slated to get launched in March.

A few years ago, hero Siddharth and Bobby Simha teamed up for a comedy Gangster movie ‘Jigarthanda’ under the direction of Karthik Subbaraj. The movie turned out to be a super hit at the box office.

Now, ‘Gabbar Singh’ fame director Harish Shankar whose previous outing DJ ended up as a debacle at the box office is planning to remake ‘Jigarthanda’ movie in Telugu. More than the hero role, Bobby Simha who played the villain role garnered much appreciation. In the Telugu version, Harish Shankar has roped in Mega Prince Varun Tej to replace the role of Bobby Simha in the movie. The other actor who is going to play the lead role in the movie is yet to be announced.

As per the latest reports, Harish Shankar is in plans to rope in young heroes like Raj Tarun or Naga Shourya to play the lead in the movie. Harish Shankar is also considering the ‘Geetha Govindam’ beauty Rashmika Mandanna to play the female lead in the movie.

But Harish Shankar refuted the rumors saying, “Not true Sir pls follow my twitter handle before posting anything in twitter at least.”

Ram and Gopi Achanta are producing this film. The casting works are going on and the shooting will go on floors very soon. We have to wait and see if the Telugu version succeeds in recreating the same magic as the Tamil version or not.

Director Harish Shankar is currently busy setting up his new project in Dil Raju’s production. The director earlier got confirmation from the producer for the film called Daagudu Muthalu which is expected to have Varun Tej and Nithiin in the leads. Meanwhile, the interesting buzz is that the director is also planning to team up with the actor Kalyan Dev for his second project. Kalyan dev is getting ready for his debut movie right now and even before that, he has an interesting project that was confirmed.

The buzz is that Konidela productions company is showing interest to bankroll the project and the tentative title of the movie is Varaprasad Gari Alludu.

Young and talented director Harish Shankar who is buoyed by the hit of DJ is making a movie which is titled Daagudu Moothalu. This movie is a multi starer flick. After this, Harish Shankar is to direct a movie with a title ‘ Seetimaar’. He is currently busy planning for this project, and an official announcement will be made too.
