“Rudramadevi” is a story based on the life of Rudramadevi, one of the prominent rulers of Kakatiya Dynasty. She was a popular queen among few in Indian history. Since the move runs in a 13th-century era, the director has taken all efforts to recreate the Kakatiya dynasty. The posters and trailers that released as part of promotion clearly show how deep the subject is portrayed on the silver screen. Along with the film director, art director Thota Tharani, costume designer Neeta Lulla have worked as a team and brought the forgotten history to the silver screen.

Gunasekhar has always been a huge fan of history and mythology. In debut film Ramayanam(1997) was made with then child artist Jr.NTR, this film won National Film Award for Best Children’s Film for that year. His later films Okkadu, Arjun, Sainikudu, and Varudu all are ideal to Ramayanam.

Coming to Rudramadevi, Gunasekhar has dreamt of this subject since 2004. He made many attempts to take this film on the floors at the early stages of his career, but couldn’t do so. He chose that this would be the perfect time to create “Rudramadevi” as there is sufficient technology available. His attempt is termed as a daring one because he also produced this film by spending almost 60 cr.

This film has a huge cast to watch out. Beginning from Anushka continuing with Allu Arjun, Rana, Krishnamraju, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menon, Catherine Tresa and the list goes on. In a recent video posted by Gunashekar, Ilaiyaraaja said that “Music nowadays has become so worst that whatever you listen is being termed as a waste. Rudramadevi was composed of high standard values with no dirt filled in it. You will get an experience of listening good BGM and audio while watching the cinema.”

India’s first Historical Stereoscopic film “Rudhramadevi” will release on 9th of October, said Director Gunasekhar. “The news spread that since 3D work is being delayed, the film will is postponed, and such news is false rumours. The film has reached its final stage and is being completed at a brisk pace. On October 9th the film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi in 3D” said Gunasekhar.

The film got delayed due to 3D work, since the completion of overall effects, 3D will mesmerise you while watching this film. Anushka, Allu Arjun, Rana are playing the crucial roles in his historical film. This film took 80 crores in its uncompromising production values and Gunashekar produced it.

Usually, any film that is coming after several postponements will have a negative publicity in the audience, but Rudhramadevi is scoring quite opposite. Since its announcement, till date the curiousness and expectations among the audience is high.

Director cum producer Gunasekhar, who has worked very hard to finish his most prestigious project ‘Rudramadevi’ starring Anushka in the title role, has finally revealed in a pressmeet that the film will release on September 4th. But Gunasekhar seems to have cracked few satires aiming at Baahubali as he said, ‘Rudramadevi is not just made of graphics and VFX work but to tell our history. I have just focused on a good story to tell rather than on graphic gimmicks’.

The much-anticipated Anushka starrer, Rudrama Devi has been in the news for quite some time now. Stylish Star Allu Arjun has been signed to play the lead in ‘Rudrama Devi’ opposite Anushka.

This piece of news was confirmed by the director himself a couple of hours ago.
“Allu Arjun will be playing the crucial role of Gona Ganna Reddy in this film. He has started training for the same. With the completion of his part, the entire shooting for the film will be completed.”, said the Director, Gunasekhar.

Rumours were also rife that Mahesh Babu would be playing a powerful role in the film. But with the confirmation on Allu Arjun, all rumours seem to have been quashed.

Rudrama Devi stars Anushka in the lead. Actor Rana Daggubati will be seen playing a pivotal role in the movie.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is riding on a high post the birth of his son, Ayan and the stupendous success of his last outing at the box office, ‘Race Gurram’.
